I agree. I would put incentives in the contract for games played or I'd give him the lower end of whatever his range is. If what Brunson said is true that he'll take a team friendly deal, then that leaves extra bread for OG, iHart and potentially Randle at the end of next season, and we'll still have money to sign a solid free agent for either a veteran 4/5 or a 2 with championship experience.

I don’t like the “OG, 15ish points” narrative. Both times right before he got hurt, regular szn and playoffs, he was starting to GO OFF offensively. On this team, I think he can be a 19-21 ppg scorer and a top 4 defender in the NBA
Bro needs to trim up just a bit, he’s gotta show up next training camp with more of a Randle like build to reduce he’s injuries. Also a better diet would help. He’s an incredible player when healthy but he needs to sustain that health to match his salary..

I think he will take less money to stay with Knicks! Especially if Brunson extends this Summer at $156m for 4 years. Brunson can get like $260m for 5 years next year. So he would be doing Knicks a favor by extending this Summer and sacrifice for the team with more Cap flexibility to build around him.

OG loves it in nyc. A fanbase that truly appreciate his skill set. Preserve him for the post season is easy if the knicks make adequate moves in the market. That means getting Mikal Bridges so that Hart and Donte come off your bench.
Now Hart is OGs back up and then Randle's back up.. and Hart gets 30 plus min a night and not 40 + ..OG knows this is home now.
