[Keith Pompey]: The Sixers are targeting Paul George, LeBron James and OG anunoby in free agency this offseason. The Sixers are also looking at potentially trading for Jimmy Butler, Zach Lavine, and Brandom Ingram if they are unsuccessful in free agency.

Their desire to sign Paul George is well-known, as has been written about countless times. The Sixers believe they have a real chance of signing the nine-time All-Star.

The Sixers do have their eyes on other lucrative-salary impact players just in case they don’t get George. That’s why they also are looking at potential free agents like the Los Angeles Lakers’ LeBron James and New York Knicks forward OG Anunoby. If not in free agency, the Sixers believe they can use their draft assets and available cap space to acquire a difference-maker via a trade. That has led to Miami Heat forward Jimmy Butler, Chicago Bulls guard Zach LaVine, and New Orleans Pelicans forward Brandon Ingram being among trade interests.

  1. PG had a really good season, possibly overshadowed by a mediocre first round against Dallas. His advanced stats were nice, he was the most effficient he’s been in years too with 61% TS.

22/5/4 with good defense. The problem is that he can blow hot and cold at this stage of his career. He can have a 10 point game or a 30 point game. A little like Harden.

Imagine Butler and Embiid on the same team. Spooky.

Watch them re-sign the GOAT, Tobias Harris

I have no doubt Morey will make a splash. I also have no doubt that it won’t work.

I can’t imagine Bron or PG wanting to hitch their last career stretch to Embiid. It’s basically Kawhi but without the winning or good performances in the playoffs

  6. Business-Mouse9137

Yeah OG is sure to leave actual MSG to go play in MSG 2

  7. YourWorstNightmare9

Resigning Tobias Harris is also an option you know Sixers?

  8. this_place_stinks

I can’t imagine Butler on Philly. Any photoshop experts out there?

Report: the Sixers are looking at potentially acquiring ever good player that seems to be available

“Paul George, LeBron James,  and OG over me?” – Jimmy Butler probably

Trading for Butler would be very funny

Embiid and Maxey getting Lebron would be crazy. PG would be good, but it’s the same problem with Butler. I don’t trust them to remain healthy

I can only see LeBron leaving LA if he wants to end his career in Cleveland, and PG and OG probably only leave their current teams if they don’t get a contract they like.

The Sixers only have future assets, so any deals with win-now teams like the Heat or Pelicans probably have to involve a third team. Lavine is probably the easiest target to acquire, but also moves the needle the least.

Unless some star unexpectedly asks out, the Sixers aren’t going to be able to use all the cap space they hoarded for much

OGs agent is Leon Roses son

He’s not going to the Sixers

As a Bulls Fan…..offer us anything but Tobias Harris and you can have Lavine.  At this point….. I am even willing to throw in Vuc too.

So let us get some money to play with so we can give Coby some decent people to play with.

Id rather pay corpses then watch Tobias another single second. So whatever happens I already consider it a win if he is gone.

LeBron would actually be an excellent fit. Maxey’s the ideal guard for him, he’d be the second player Embiid has ever had who can actually feed him in good post positions(Batum being the other), and while Embiid isn’t a traditional LeBron lob threat, his ability to pick-and-pop and space the floor would open up driving lanes more than AD has.

LeBron could of course lead units with Embiid off the floor where the Sixers normally fall apart(Embiid was +46 against the Knicks), and having all three of Maxey+Bron+Embiid would keep LeBron or Embiid overloading in the regular season.

Call me crazy, but I think you could argue this is the base trio of a real title favorite, especially with the picks and assets to still trade for a guy like Alex Caruso. Returning to the East might be LeBron’s best bet at winning one last title to ride off into the sunset with.

All of this is of course regardless of the fact that I don’t believe LeBron’s leaving LA, let alone to come to Philly lol
