I saw people wondering whether Wemby would have fared better than Gobert on Luka's game-winning 3 on Friday, so I looked up all of Wemby's defense on Luka this season.
Luka's a smart player, so he mostly avoided Wemby in the 3 games they played against each other, which means there were only a few samples to look at, but Wemby got a good contest on each of them.
I honestly don't think Luka would have been looking for that step back if Wemby had been on him in a situation like in Friday night's game.

At some point in their careers I’m sure Luka will cook Wemby on the perimeter and hit a big shot, let’s not act like our guy will just be immune to it. Good offense beats good defense.
