Were are number 17 on on this list in terms of team payrolls. Because of the new CBA(with the second apron rules, etc) a lot of the teams above us will have to start to shed salary. Some players might become available that people don't even think are available. The FO has positioned us very well if that happens.

good job FO, but now we not in a position to be positioned for seasons down the line. we in win now mode. expect the FO to operate with no regard for the cap while we on brunson’s time line. leave no doubt
We are so disgustingly well positioned to upgrade should the right opportunity materialize. There’s going to be a lot of movement based on these numbies in OPs post alone.
50 wins, deep play off run despite injuries, relative plethora of draft assets, long-tenured GM and coach, winning and positive culture throughout the organization, no interference from Dolan, and we have well-managed salary? Anyone of those things were high expectations for this team 5 years ago.

Not to mention we have a couple of sizable expiring contracts coming off the books at the end of next season: Bogey and ABurkes. Off the top of my head, I think that’s $30-$35MM.
PHO, LAL, and GSW have a real problem huh
Knicks are killing it. If the cap spikes again with new TV deal they are going to upgrade big time
Love how this shows what good shape we’re in.
This dismisses outside of both LA teams the rest have home grown no discount Max re-signings. But we still have a great FO.
If you want to be honest there is a lot of luck involved here that a bunch of off the radar players turned into a very good meshed team.
They deserve credit but I don’t think any of them know how good these people would be together
Fuck. Everyone.
That’s “active roster” only, without incomplete roster charges – If OG opts in.
