month away from uh NBA free agency we’re about a month away from total chaos and what we’re hoping is that this is a big one what we’re hoping is that lots of big things actually happen you know unlike last off season where nothing happened this should be a doozy not only because the Sixers are finally free of a James Harden situation they’re finally free of a Ben Simmons situation they’re finally free of a Tobias Harris contract but also Daryl Morris backs against the wall boys I mean for real I’m I I bro I’m so close to being on his ass no Diddy because the more I watch the NBA Playoffs the more I watch just teams full of role players get [ __ ] done the more I get sick of this dude constantly swinging for the fenes on big names and just preaching that he knows how to win he knows how to win he knows how to win with zero rings to his name you know what I’m saying but this isn’t going to be a Daryl Mory rant video I’m just saying that this off season it’s got to be the also Paul George much like anybody has never played with a guy like Joel embiid who draws that much gravity so he could be very well interested in uh you know coming to Philly for a couple of years if the Clippers don’t want to give him what he once what do you guys think about that man glazing bucket getter I’m not I’m not going to lie to you guys I’m a little outside uh new terminology I don’t know what that means bro East Coast Taffy what’s going on if the six uh Joe joannis what’s up if the Sixers are smart they go kcp Bruce Brown and trade for marketing from Utah they they they straight up can’t get marketing man um Danny a number one does not get fleeced in trades uh Danny a also already said out loud that for him to even consider trading lri Markin and is going to take a plethora of first round picks and somebody’s young upand cominging star and that’s just that the Sixers don’t have what it they don’t they don’t have what it takes um they don’t have what it takes uh to get lari marketing but yeah that’s that’s the first thing I wanted to show you now here’s what came out last night that has people talking Evan cidery um and he’s quoting our guy you know the most reliable reporter in uh the history of sports Keith Pompei uh the Clippers are unwilling to offer Paul George more than they gave kawh Leonard a three-year $150 million extension per pompe on Sixers um I find it interesting that oh one of my lights fell over damn damn we’re falling apart here in this in the Eastwood Studios man whatever whatever anyway the Clippers are unwilling to offer Paul George more than they gave Kawhi Leonard a threee 152 million extension um now of course that could just be the Clippers play in the game like I said plenty of times and I’ll continue to say they have a new Arena opening they’re they’re they’re not going to go into next season uh with just Kawhi Leonard and and James Harden so this is probably uh Clippers ownership just playing hard ball and as you get closer to free agency and as you get closer to the draft you know if if nothing happens elsewhere Paul George will have to sign that sign that uh contract but if other teams offer him four years which many believe is what he’s looking for uh the Clippers will have they’ll just have to match it if they want to start the season in that new Arena with multiple Allstar level players on their roster to inevitably sell tickets but you know Kawhi Leonard signed that that that three-year 152 million so kawhai didn’t get the four-year Max um you know in Kawai with his injury problems I think that’s probably the the biggest reason that the the Clippers did that because you know I thought if they didn’t get it done in the first round this season they were just going to blow it up and get rid of kawhai Paul George and James Harden and try to tank it out but they’re not going to do that opening a new Arena that makes you know that doesn’t make any business sense so they signed kawhai 2 3 years they probably you know ownership’s like Hey listen we could sell hope for for three more years right and then if it doesn’t work out then we’re off the books uh that would be perfect timing for the Sixers if they keep the 2028 unprotected Clippers pick because the Clippers could be in fullon tank mode right around 2028 so keep that in mind also but the Clippers are probably trying to get Paul George to do the same thing three years 152 you know with maybe a I don’t know if there’s a player option or a team option in the third year but uh they’re probably trying to get him to do that same thing and he apparently wants four years the Sixers could be one of the teams that are willing to offer Paul George a full scale Max making 22 million over four years uh Philadelphia believes Paul George is the Perfect Fit alongside Joel embiid and Tyrese Maxi now I want to give my opinion on Paul George at this stage of his career as a third option yes you know if you’re relying on Paul George at 35 years old I this is kind of the same thing I was saying about Kevin Durant as these players who were NBA superstars at one point right uh he had the Pacers you know doing things when he was when he was there he had big time playoff moments for for the Thunder and for the Clippers his first year there um if those type of players that are on the downside of their stardom are still a very high level number three this is me talking myself into what might inevitably happen because I’m telling you guys right now it’s set in stone this is darl Murray’s number one option doesn’t matter what you think about it I know people keep hitting me up all we should do is trade for Caruso and Andre Drummond and fill out the roster it doesn’t none of that matters none of that matters what matters is what is darl Murray going to do he’s in charge not you not me not us we could talk about what we think they should do what are they going to do we need to prepare ourselves mentally for what they are going to do number one option on Daryl Mor’s list is Paul George and I think he’s going to do whatever it takes to try to get him whether you think that’s a winning formula or not uh it is what it is I do agree Paul George is the perfect fit alongside Joel embi and Tyrese Maxi when healthy um we can look at it like this look at the Eastern Conference right now the Boston Celtics are walking to the NBA finals the Boston Celtics are playing the Indiana Pacers in the Eastern Conference Finals think about that for a second it’s the [ __ ] Pacers man and I’m not saying they weren’t good but they’re not Eastern Conference Finals good and the Sixers were how close to being in that same situation if they if they survived the New York series The the Sixers beat the Pacers with the roster they currently have I honestly think that so if you just replace your third option Tobias Harris with 35-year-old Paul George and he stays healthy you’ll probably beat the Knicks and you probably beat the Pacers and you’re probably in the Eastern Conference Finals against the Boston Celtics putting up more of a fight than the Indiana Pacers are right now of course as with anything in the Joel beid era Health pending you know it it’s always going to be an if when you’re when you’re when you’re rooting for the Sixers in the Joel and be era but you it’s just how you have to do it like I said you can’t be like I’m not going to cross the street today cuz what if I get hit by a bus you might get hit by a bus but you’re still going to try to cross the street right every year you got to just say we’re putting the team together and if they’re healthy they will be in the Eastern Conference Finals if the odds are on betting sites of the Sixers being healthy versus hurt you better bet on them being hurt if you want to win some money because the history tells us all the injuries are going to happen to the Sixers but just maybe you get one of the rarest Joel embiid healthy playoff runs in his career and Paul George is healthy also and you get two really good Paul George third option level years out of that deal I’m just telling you it’s not as bad as people are making it sound at the end of the day the ultimate reason the Sixers fell short in game six is because Tobias Harris and Kyle Lowry gave you zero points your third option you were relying on was Kelly UB I mean let’s be serious so I’m just saying it’s not as bad as people make it sound I’m not totally against it am I going to cringe at that amount of money for a 35y old player yes but does it give you a better chance to get out of the situation that you couldn’t get out of this past season yes essentially what are the options and what can the Sixers do to try to be better than they were last year that’s all we can do we can look at money we can look at draft picks we can look at whatever Daryl Mor is going to say what can I do to finally get this team out of the second round this upcoming season he’s going to have a very shortsighted approach I don’t want him to trade that unprotected Clippers pick unless it’s for somebody else who I’m going to talk about later in this episode but there’s my take on the the initial uh Paul George may be available because it seems like the Clippers are unwilling to give him 152 uh $212 million fouryear Max they want him to sign the same the same kind of uh extension that kawii Leonard signed and if if you’re just looking at look if the Clippers are messing around what other teams are going to take a swing at it it’s going to be Daryl Mur I’m just putting that out there that’s that’s just something that is going to be on the table for Paul George and maybe he takes it maybe he doesn’t Mr Rudy why would any Star want to play with him be knowing his book continue this story and you will continue to have egg on your face build around Maxi Mr Rudy thank you for the Super Chat as always I I appreciate the support uh but it doesn’t matter sponsoring the channel let’s get back to business um I want to look at Paul George’s Playoff stats because one of the things we’ve been saying Without Really researching it is that Paul George folds into playoffs or he’s not a playoff performer play uh playoff P that call him whatever they call him man um and he did yeah come up short this past season but we could just like look at his averages in LA in the playoffs and as a third option look what you’re getting 2019 and 2020 did they blow a 3-1 lead to the Denver Nuggets yeah was that Doc Rivers decision making with zubach versus uh uh uh uh what’s the dude’s name that was just our like Center two years ago that that Doc Rivers loved to play drawing a blank but anyway uh he averaged 20.2 points per game in the playoffs in 1920 it’s a pretty good third option it’s an overpay yes but it’s a pretty good third option 2020 21 19 games in the playoffs you average 27 points per game I feel like that was the last year that he was really healthy and look yeah this is uh four years ago so I’m not disagreeing with you that this level of Paul George could be done um but then he got hurt in 202 the end of the 2022 23 season and didn’t play in the playoffs uh and Kawai was out there for like a couple games by himself and then he got hurt too and the Clippers were cooked and then they traded for James Harden this season six games in the playoffs he averaged 19 points 19.5 points per game still pretty damn good third option next to Joel and be and Tyrus Maxi if you were going to swing for the fences and try to get out of the second round that’s all I’m saying is it a massive overpay yes but it is probably in fact Daryl Mor’s number one Target and in the last couple of games against the Mavericks Paul George came up very short I believe ending the season with like a seven-point performance uh not many more points than Tobias Harris ended the season with which was Zero uh but you know there it is and and then you know I was on his Wikipedia page kind of looking for his injury history and really his injury history is not as crazy as everybody makes it sound man the aside from like his broken leg in the Olympics you know he’s had things here things there ankles uh strained UCL they had him out for four weeks one time but the no like real major major you know people talk about Paul George inury history and I do too without really looking it up like he tears his ACL every year you know it’s really not that crazy of an injury history aside from you know that like I said that knee that he like or or whatever it was dude what what did they like landed on the Baseline of the basket in the Olympics and and and like his whole leg broken half you guys remember that [ __ ] that was crazy um but then 2022 23 he uh his season ended where here it is on March 5th 23 um the Clippers announced George would diagnos with a right knee sprum would be reevaluated in two to three weeks ending his regular season run that was uh 2223 and then he came back this season was relatively healthy for most of the season and played all six games in the playoffs so the health concern I don’t think is as big of a deal as people are making it sound especially when you know we have Joel and be on our team so no matter what you do if Joel’s hurt you’re done say this every year this upcoming season man it’s probably the last straw for me uh with darl muray but it’s probably the last straw for me with Joel embiid too I mean I I said the same thing last off season and Joel came in this year total MVP level performer and was just dominating the NBA and got hurt again we’re going to do it again if he does it again if he dominates the NBA again and te an MCL or whatever meniscus I’m probably going to be like okay you know like when is enough enough cuz then he would be on the verge of turning 31 and so this upcoming this off season and this upcoming season really is a big moment in Sixers really the current ERA and whether or not you you know the next era starts and the next era is going to be Tyrese Maxi we could also talk about you know tyr Maxi taking another step forward after being a 26 Point per game Allstar at 23 years old who knows who who even knows you know I haven’t even really gotten into thinking about how good Tyrese Maxi could really be this upcoming season um he could be a I mean I think he was a leading scorer in the playoffs tyres Maxi could lead the team in scoring this upcoming season for all we know you know we’re watching that kid evolve into into a Bonafide Superstar and I you know um and some of the performances in the playoffs were were told me that he has a potential to do that uh but anyway I’m rambling a little bit let me get back to it so does Paul George fold in the playoffs he has but the average points per game when you really just look at it it’s a really good third option um is he really injury prone as as injury prone as everybody makes it sound I don’t really think so man I don’t really think so but here’s the other one that came out just a couple minutes before I went live hey 297 people in here thanks for being here thanks for hanging out hit the 76ers while Brandon Ingram is considered their fallback plan because you know it is widely expected that the new Orleans Pelicans could break up the Zion Williams and Brandon Ingram Tandem and try to go in a different direction I never thought that would work in the first place even though Zion went healthy as an animal but both of them you know kind of operate in the same space They Don’t Really compliment each other very well and that’s also a uh a con I guess you could say when you think about Brandon Ingram on the Sixers but uh here’s what uh Kevin oconor said aside from the pipe dream that Kevin Durant or Jimmy Butler would ask to to be dealt directly to Philly sources familiar with the Sixers thinking say that Brandon Ingram is the primary fallback plan Ingram would have to be acquired in a trade from the New Orleans Pelicans since he’s under contract for 36 million with a 15% trade kicker through the 2024 25 season uh Brandon Ingram man I I like Brandon Ingram and you know we probably should have drafted him over Ben Simmons back in the 2016 draft I think Brandon Ingram being expected to lead a franchise like he is in New Orleans is not really what he is I don’t think he has that leadership that like real killer mentality as you saw his performance in this year’s playoffs uh he kind of you know folded under pressure as far as being a team leader or or trying to or the Pelicans expecting him to be a number one guy Brandon Ingram as a third option isn’t terrible I don’t like it as much as Paul George I’ll tell you that right now even 35-year-old Paul George I’ll take 35-year old Paul George as a third option over Brandon Ingram right now that might sound crazy to you guys because Brandon ingrams 27 but Brandon Ingram shoots three three-pointers per game and that’s the main issue that I have with his game is that there’s a lot of Tobias Harris Vibes there as far as his style of play is he better than Tobias Harris of course he is can he get to a mid-range jumper way better than Tobias Harris can yes does he play through contact way more than Tobias Harris does of course he does a million times better than Tobias Harris but really I’ve hated that Tobias Harris fit next to Joel for a long time because of his reluctancy to shoot three-pointers bringing in Brandon Ingram also so not a guy that shoots a lot of three doesn’t stretch the floor a lot operates in the same space that Joel embiid operates in and I don’t like it I think the Perfect Construction around Joel embiid is four guys on the perimeter bro I mean like we all played 2K it’s not rocket science you run a four out one in you try to get Joel and beat in a one-on-one matchup and you [ __ ] dunk on people you know and you force them to bring a double team you kick it out you swing it around the perimeter you find the open man it’s not it’s basketball’s not rocket science it really isn’t it’s very simple but if you’re putting players like Brandon Ingram on the floor who needs to dribble and get into space and loves to get into a little turnaround mid-range jumper it’s just not the best idea I don’t think same thing with a Demar D rozan trade it’s just not the best idea it’s their plan B I don’t think it’s terrible again at the end of the day you almost beat the Knicks which then you probably would have beat the Pacers and you probably would have been in the Eastern Conference Finals if Tobias Harris didn’t absolutely suck we can look at depth but realistically Nick nurse played eight guys in the playoffs so we need to get the best eight guys it’s what you need to do Brandon Ingram gives you a better chance than what we had in the first round this year and I understand why it’s it would be the Sixers fall fallback plan or or second option you know if they can’t land uh if they can’t Swindle Paul George away from La by just offering him more money than the Clippers are uh but I guess he’s young enough too then it gives you a little bit more of a future outlook as far as like you know what after Joel embiid inevitably can’t walk in two years knock on wood not trying to wish harm on the guy at all but let’s be serious his knees look like they were in uh World War II on the front lines uh so I don’t absolutely hate the Brandon Ingram thing but that is their that is their uh their backup plan if they can’t land Paul George and you know we did the thing with uh Jake fiser from Yahoo who was explaining why teams try to get three Allstars on a team and it’s just what Daryl MO is going to do you know he’s going to try to get a third star uh their number one option is Paul George their second option is is Brandon Ingram right now uh what you guys think man what you talking about in the chat where my chat go man no wonder I can’t see what you years ago maybe longer they traded everyone for Kevin Garnett Paul Pearson that imploded they ended up being the worst team in the NBA and the Boston Celtics had their first round pick like two years in a row which was just funny to watch the Boston Celtics be contenders and have the first pick in the draft they traded that to us for the Marquel folz Jason Tatum thing let’s not even go there and then the Nets rebuilt again and then they built another solid roster full full of role players and they signed Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving out of free agency and they could have ran with that and had Jared Allen and and and Carris Levert and Spencer Den witty and a bunch of good roll guys to try to take those two stars and go in but they didn’t they traded everybody and seven count them four first and three pick swaps for James Harden who just gained 30 pounds the year before on purpose to get out of Houston and they imploded their franchise again now they they’re watching not only Kyrie Irving probably go to the NBA finals which is amazing to watch so much fun love it I’m rooting for him please Kyrie versus Boston I I need I need Kyrie I need Kyrie Irving to take out the Boston Celtics in the NBA Finals it would just be a beautiful story uh anyway the Nets now are going on a third rebuild and ownership said the franchise is out of Crossroads you don’t say josi uh Sai mentioned Brooklyn’s roster will be revamped this off season to compete in the long run rather than win immediately maybe he realizes that signing James hard or trading all the picks for a player like who was really really good this year anyway the Nets turned down that for uh K Bridges reportedly and now I think they’re going to accept the fact that they need to trade him and he could be available for less than that I think they’re going to have to accept the fact that they’re not going to get that level of offer again he could be available for less than that uh and so I just went on the internet and I said you know what 76ers melbridge is mock trade I think I did one of these last week or two weeks ago but anyway look at this one man let’s say the 76ers do go let’s see the let’s say the Nets do go into a full rebuild and uh they offer up Mel Bridges here’s a mock trade from fanation sportsillustrated.com the Sixers trade Ricky Council tur quavian Smith 2022 first round pick 16th overall and 2026 first round pick via OKC Houston or Clippers worst of the three it was a pick swap between somebody somewhere I forget don’t even know but either way uh and the Sixers receive Mel Bridges as much as I love Ricky Council we got to be realistic we got to talk about you know the things that the fact that he got zero playoff minutes this season under Nick nurse the fact that Daryl have a a you know potential moving forward he he would if he’s if he what gets you Mel Bridges 100% trade him you know and I love Ricky Council but if Ricky council is what gets you Mel Bridges yes trade him you know and then he’ll go to another team and become inevitably an NBA superstar because why wouldn’t he but uh yeah I would say yes to this trade I actually don’t think this is enough I don’t think this trade gets you Mel Bridges I think there’s other teams that could offer the Nets way more than this what you would have to probably give up in this trade is the 2020 28 unprotected Clippers pick um and that is one that has like I say all the time crazy amount of value because the Clippers will be probably underneath of the basement by 2028 and it might be the number one pick in the draft and it could be a generational player who changes your franchise forever but if that’s a big if anyway it’s not like the Sixers draft well um so what I’m saying is I don’t think this would be enough I think you’d have to throw in uh I think you’d have to throw in uh DeAnthony Melton I think you’d have to throw in uh probably the 2028 unprotected first and I’d still say yes to it I think that’s the Sixers perfect off season just right now a month away from the draft in free agency I think the Sixers perfect off season to save everything and and have me and the rest of Philadelphia be on Daryl M’s good side and and be excited for the upcoming season he signs Paul George to a four-year Max contract the last two years are a team option I don’t think that would happen but that would be amazing so you could say Hey listen man if you’re if you’re washed we get to get rid of you and not pay you um and then they trade Ricky Council tur quavian Smith and three first round picks including the 2028 unprotected for Mel Bridges and I know a lot of people on YouTube that hit me in the comments and in the chat anytime you say three first round picks for a player they say what it’s way too much anytime you say 200 million for a that’s way too much but you got to give things to get things man and that’s what Mel Bridges would take and you got you know you’re you guys are tell me this is too much that’s too much and that’s too much are the same ones that are telling me trade for lri marke and you don’t even have enough to get a guy like that I don’t want to give up the 2028 pick because I think it could be huge for the for the franchise but if you have a chance of coming back next season with as weak as the Eastern Conference looked this season if you have a chance to come back next year with Joe lmb Tyrese Maxi Paul George and Mel Bridges you how could you say no to that I’m saying go all in and do it that’s that’s what I’m saying to that man y’all let me know
