Get some rest and hope KP is ready to go game 1
I feel Jrue is underappreciated. He put up 18+7+5.8 on 58.7%+41.7%+100% shooting in the ECF. He played elite defense in the clutch time, as well as a huge 2+1 in game 3 and a huge offensive rebound in game 4.
hell yeah
The Celtics continued their high winning percentage in games broadcasted by ESPN/ABC, now 20-2 in this season. All finals games will be broadcasted by ABC. Love you Doris.
Just noticed that White had 5 steals AND 3 blocks tonight. What a masterpiece.
I know it’s beyond petty but I’m really happy that Nesmith never even won one game against us. The way he acted toward JT in this series was kinda bitch-like.
There are many people saying they hate the Celtics b/c boring iso offense or two-man game. Sometimes, our own fans like to criticize this style of offense in the clutch.
Rewatching a few of the plays towards the end of the game, I realized that it’s because we have no other choice. Because our starting 5 can all splash 3s, no defender can really sag off and help with White, Holiday, Brown, or Tatum’s drives to the rim. This structure prevents the flashy ball movement and passes to “find the open guy” unless a defender blunders a switch. If it’s a 1v1 or 2v2 going downhill towards the rim, that’s a high-percentage, optimal play. Unless opponents change their D and gamble that we can’t splash a clutch 3, then this will always be the case (White’s dagger 3 end of game 4).
It’s really funny to me that in the biggest moments in this series, red hot Nembhard got clamped up.
Looking at the prices for Finals tickets… inflation really is a bitch. Prices are significantly higher for game 1/2 than game 6 prices from a couple years back. I’m assuming prices will trend lower closer to tip off.
I love this team so much
Pacers were a legit team. An All nba PG in Hali, a terrific 2nd option in Siakam. They have a 3 and D center. And a good 3rd option in Nembhard. Plus Nesmith who’s a good 3 and D with a terrific motor. TJ off the bench is great as well.
Don’t let the sweep fool you. This was a really good team that the Celtics beat.
I rewatched the last passions, Celtics up 3.
They did multiple PnR and switched to get Turner out of the post and on the perimeter and Siakam on the corner. Regardless if that last 3 by Tatum falls. To play the percentages like that.
Just great coaching to call that Muzz you deserve your flowers.
