where where do you guys got to start uh honestly it stays in the belief Department right now just mentally um believing that you know it’s one game you know just one game get one uh bring it back to Minnesota give ourselves a chance in this series and um we’re more than capable of doing that you know just don’t let go of the Rope uh stay confident um and worried about our adjustments and and and what we can uh accomplish in in in game four here and um that’s every guy from you know one through 15 got to be ready to play uh who knows what adjustments we’ll make but you can imagine we’ll throw everything we have uh at this at this game so U you know it’s witer go home for us so we got to be locked in on that what’s your sense of where that belief is with the group right now honestly I believe it’s still there you know I do um that’s why it’s frustrating you know it’s more frustrating than it is anything cuz we know how good of a team we have but we what we put ourselves through this season um how much we’ve worked through throughout this playoffs to to become a better team a better unit and um and it’s frustrating you look look up and you’re down 03 um but a lot of that has to do with what Dallas has done a lot of has had to do with uh you know things we can fix um but we believe we can fix a lot of that and if we can just come out game four and do that uh we give ourselves a chance it was just last year that Boston down nothing and they came back TI even though they didn’t win serious the game so chance wins the series you draw anything from that knowing that it can be done of course you know it’s uh it’s obviously the you look at they’ll tell you the numbers and it’s you know they don’t give you a great chance but um it’s a unique situation in sense that we feel like our team is is built uniquely in a way that um we can find a way to win four in a row we can find a way to get ourselves in this and you know a chance to win the series because we do have a lot of depth a lot of talent a lot of guys who um have experience um and and you know hopefully we give ourselves that chance you know it’s going to be tough but we know that um We believe We Believe in each other still you know we we haven’t had a game where we’ve had everybody clicking yet and um and we need that we need that more than ever right now not been to the finals at this stage of your career how’s it feel to be so close to yet so far oh man uh I have not slept I can tell you that you know this this whole week uh cuz it’s I know how hard it is to get here I know how hard it is to um have opportunity like this and they don’t come they don’t come very often so to u to be looking up and you’re down you know 03 is and you know just your four wins away from opportunity of Lifetime and uh something I’ve been thinking and dreaming about you know for 17 years even as a kid before that so D near my whole life so um you know it’s just something that you know I got to try to focus on what I can do next to help this team for game four not so much on the wh ifs of not making it after beting Denver much was said about in experience about cat and ant and you have been in the league forever for a long time how do you feel about them are they ready for it how do you feel about them um you know yeah I mean ant young he’s 22 he’s learning a lot about the game learning a lot of a lot of it on the Fly um you know cat is is you know he’s been in the league a while but still the playoffs are new to him in a way that um he’s had to adjust a lot of his game and understanding how to how to you know play winning basketball at this stage of the game and um and all you can ask for them is to continue to work and get better I think that’s what they’ve they’ve done all playoffs long and um and they’ll continue to do that when the shots aren’t falling in the fourth quarter there’s a tendency probably human nature to try a little harder is that something you have to guard against um it can be you know you you press a little bit when you do uh have those moments where you you know you getting good looks you’re just not you know making them and um and the moments getting bigger and bigger as the game goes on and scores getting closer and closer and you just want to be able to help your team and um and that’s part of our our deal is is trying to balance that trying to balance you know how important this you know each possession is but man have fun like be free you know play play your game and in the process of it all um cuz that’s the best way we can get the most out of you know our you know majority of our guys you guys took the lead with like I don’t know five minutes to go with P fighting Kyle on like a crosscourt pass Kyle makes it before the buzzer the shoot shot clock brother and it seems like you have all this momentum and then 14 to three run like in the hour since game three made sense of it like what what happened like how it happened um you know they made the plays they it’s been this situation for the last three games they’ve made the plays on both ends to win the game you know um we have possessions where you know we get a good look or we get to the rim they get a block they come down and convert on the other end or we get offensive rebound and we don’t get a second chance point out of it when they’re getting offensive rebound they’re making the most of that situation and um they’ve just done a really good job of that in the last four four three four minutes of the game and uh something that we know we have to do better if we’re going to have a chance to win Mike earlier in the playoffs you all had good success against KD and Brook what makes it so different with what Kyrie and and of Kyrie and um Luka are doing um well you know with Kyrie especially Luca um you know it’s two point guards you technically but can score the ball at the highest you know level in our league but um so it’s hard to throw you know traps and double teams at them because they can pick you apart and um and know how to find the gaps and know how to read the game so well that it puts a lot of pressure on our backside of our defense so um I think that’s the the difference is you know those guys mainly are scores there in Phoenix and they’ve been scores their their whole career and a lot of these guys have played point guard or playmaker for the majority of their career so they um just approach the game a little differently do you notice when Luka is staring down the bench and kind of draw at your guys’ bench and if so did you guys take that personally uh we do we do we know it and um we always say you know the team that’s winning they have the right to talk they do what they want but um everybody everybody acts that way when they’re winning and everything’s good um so our job is to try to flip that and try to make it you know pull more pressure on them and um get back to what we do Mike Carl Carl had a stretch in the third quarter it looked like he was putting his head down getting to the basket being aggressive do you need more of that from him as opposed to kind of just the a lot of the three-point shooting oh yeah you know he’s a force and um we need him to be active all around the rim we need him to be active in the paint we need him finishing you know over over their bigs and and through contact um because his game shouldn’t be predicated on if he makes or misses threes uh we have plenty of guys that can that can hold it down and knock down shots for that you know for for our team on the outside if he’s not making them but um him putting his head down being aggressive getting to the free throw line you know getting us in the penalty like stuff that you know Dallas was in the penalty early if we can get to those situations with him and our bigs being aggressive I think it’ll help us a lot awesome thanks
