Should the Jazz bring back Gordon Hayward?

Before you go nuts about how “washed” he is, and how much you hate him for leaving for Boston, just hear me out. We don’t need him to be the player he was for during his first stint, he’s better suited as a bench player in this part of his career anyway. He could fill that veteran role among a group of inexperienced players that we missed last season. Also, as much as you all wanna say that you hate him, we all loved him when he was a Jazzman. This would give him a chance to finish his career where he started and MAYBE, that will light a fire under him to play better than he has of late. If we can get him for cheap, I really don’t hate the idea.

On a minimum and he assists in development? Yeah sure. I don’t exactly hate him especially after he gifted a bunch of stuff to that make a wish kid after leaving. From a basketball perspective he also brings playmaking and shot creation, but he probably wouldn’t play much

Edit: also there would be some irony in him signing here instead of elsewhere

Isn’t this the old meme format where the first pic is captioned with: ‘I’ll have her home by 10 sir’ and the next one is: ‘Yeah, she calls me daddy, too.’

Didn’t age well. Nobody calls Hayward daddy now. Not even his kids.

Gondola Hogwarts? Didn’t realize he played for the Jazz before.

But then he’ll have to explain why he ghosted Gail Miller.

If Hayward didn’t want to be here 7 years ago when we were good I doubt he wants to be back when we’re bad.

It the contract is favorable for the Jazz and he fits the team, yes.

    But otherwise no.

I’m not one to hold grudges when a player leaves because I find that hilariously stupid anyway but I don’t think bringing him back fits in the timeline of this roster plus he’s injury prone but if you want to go full tank mode then he may be a great tank commander
