This game made me question if we truly had plot armor haha
My only explanation for this is that the basketball gods were appalled at the insult to the game that was Houston’s offense and waited for the cruelest time. The odds of 27 misses in a row is just ridiculous and it was just beautiful

In hindsight got a lot of these are just really tough contested shots. Give credit to the warriors defense but also like maybe move the ball and try to generate an open shot? The wide open ones though that clanked must’ve got in their heads
It was also 6 years ago when the Rockets won the hypothetical championship.

At least 15 of these are heavily contested bricks. Like they’ve got Dray/KD right up close to them and they still shoot?
They barely had 2-3 fully wide open shots in this 27.
Thank goodness they were so intent on sticking with their plan even when it wasn’t working.
I remember one 2nd quarter in the playoffs when the Rockets started cutting our lead once Harden went to the bench with Chris Paul leading a sensible offense. I was worried, but then Harden went back into the game and as usual we handled his bullshit and rebuilt the lead. Later I read that Paul had then pleaded with D’Antoni to leave Harden on the bench longer. It seemed like D’Antoni wanted to win HIS way more than he wanted to win.
I saw a poll on YouTube asking who was the better 3 point shooter between Luka and Beard. I just asked who of the two contributed to the NBA record for missed 3s.
