Common comment on a post I made yesterday was “the negative discourse about Klay is because of his poor play post-injuries.” For those with the memories of a goldfish, here’s a friendly reminder of the degree to which Klay carried the Warriors in 22-23, aka post-injuries, when Steph went down.

I mean regular season isn’t the playoffs though that’s pretty good
My man, you make post after post showcasing stats (many of them super niche) in favor of Klay. And these are “countering” the supposed Klay slander that’s constantly happening on the sub.
Most of us love Klay and are just keeping it a buck about the fact that he’s fallen off a lot from his peak (where he was one of the most impactful players in the league).
But all these posts constantly defending Klay do more to draw out the slander and draw attention to the niche negativity.
Most negative Klay comments relate to his defense falling off since his return, his series against the lakers where he dropped 9ppg in the final 3 games on 32% TS, his 2023-2024 regular season which was bad, and his 0/10 showing in the playin.

Too bad we watched Klay play and he is no longer the player he once was… I have a bad feeling that the Dubs are going to hold onto their aging core and we should temper expectations… also not sure if Kuminga should be the other player getting a max deal…
