let’s dive in Allan what if the Lakers sign Paul George I don’t love the fit I think he’s a playmaker I’d love to see Paul George in that kind of situation so you already have LeBron James going to dominate the ball Lakers really don’t need a wing like this they need a a lead scoring guard they need somebody that can put pressure on another team’s defense with his ability to get in the paint and score they need like oh Kyrie Irving oh interesting Jay well what do you think of this Paul George Lakers I see more Donovan Mitchell uh the Lakers more so than Paul George but also like you know what do you do with the depth on your bench like that’s that’s a critical thing for getting a guy like Paul George he got a lot of your salary cap bought into LeBron James ad and then PG but that depth is something they’ve struggle with throughout the course of the season the one thing about Paul he wouldn’t have to sell his house or anything like that right was so UD let’s stay in Los Angeles what if here was another one that was proposed the Lakers trade for Atlanta’s Trey young wow I actually like that trade better pa George yeah I like that trade better you who like defense this one has nothing to do with defense this is just the opportunity to take the ball out of BR hands somebody else can run the offense what we seen in the playoffs against Denver where they were able to take the ball in expectation in the league as there has been for months by the way that he will opt out of that contract more for for contract structure reasons not because he’s looking to leave but obviously if you’re an unrestricted free agent doors’s open the the reason that there’s some uncertainty is because of the deadline that’s today and tonight at midnight is the deadline for all players who enter the NBA draft early can withdraw by midnight tonight and go back to college uh or the or the um you know overseas or whatever that means bronny James will decide by midnight tonight whether or not he’s going to remain in the draft and all signs point to him do so he has shown interest in scheduling some workouts with some teams after this date um his stock has improved as he gone gone through some of the pre-draft uh camp and combine process and so this is potentially a big moment here where he decides his college career is over after one year and he takes a big step forward which I think he will do uh towards going to the NBA there actually is I believe an update on this that I saw right before we walked in the door Wendy and you’ve been busy all morning long as have I but W posted a story saying um that LeBron that bronny James excuse me is staying in the draft again no surprise there this was basically a foregone conclusion but Rich Paul told wge um that he is indeed staying in the draft so that that element goes into all of this again you know LeBron well you played with him and and I know he’s someone that you that you have a very close relationship with I don’t expect him to leave Los Angeles either I will just say as a fan of the sport as one who would like to see him get one more shot in in the biggest state not that he needs it for his um not that he needs it for any reason for his legacy or anything just because it would be fun to see a 40-year-old LeBron James with another shot at it it feels to me like going east if he has the opportunity and going to Philadelphia where you’ve got some really good players are just figuring it out how it works it doesn’t make no sense to me that’s all I’m saying well first I’m going to say this J will they got a years and $100 million left I don’t think it’s outrageous outrageous that the heat would not offer the extension but if they don’t does Jimmy react and we know that in the past when he hasn’t gotten a contract he’s liked specifically in Minnesota he has asked for a trade so I think the reason that Jimmy is being attached to anywhere would be the the uncertainty if that extension doesn’t Happ that doesn’t happen as you’re a theoretical player representative representation here I would advise you not to speak on this m no I ain’t going to speak on this at all I’m just going to say Wendy greeny
