Washington Wizards man so it’s definitely a lot to talk about but I have three main reasons why you should definitely be excited about this hiring and why this is a very key hiring for the direction of the team obviously we’re year two of rebuild so he’s got a lot to bring to the table and I’m GNA tell you now what it is so again Brian Keith and we’re gonna get some background um they because I’m looking at um this is per the athletic so shout out to the athletic definitely I subscribe to him so I definitely recommend you do too um and they said that this decision was made by an hour ago right um it just made um as you guys know I just put a video out talking about Matas billis man but look we ain’t you can I definitely recommend you watch that one too but um definitely definitely watch this one about Brian Keef because he is officially hired as the new head coach so some background I mean obviously he spent 13 Seasons as an NBA assistant coach six of those in Oklahoma City before he was hired to the Wizards to be part of Westell Junior’s uh staff as a lead of coach um so again it’s all about Connections you know we knew that with his connection to Oklahoma City and obviously Will Dawkins um he was definitely going to be the candidate and like I said we’re gonna get into three reasons why this is a good hiring number one let’s start with the most important piece the ground floor of a rebuild culture and I know some of you not all of you but some of you be like man we heard culture all year long Brandon well you going to have to hear it one more time man I’ll say culture solidifying culture man if you look at the tenure of Jr I’m not going to get too much into it because we’re here to celebrate Brian keth but locker room issues lack of accountability lack of adjustments a lot of those were the things that plagued wo Jr and you saw a lot of these issues made better obviously because you know um Brian Keith Made adjustments you know the locker room what you know the culture of the locker room got better you know if you look at the body language and the comments made by a lot of players especially after the season ended you know they said they like playing together there was the atmosphere in the locker room room where you know yeah he held him to a standard you know you play hard you play to win you but he also had an environment where people wanted to be here they wanted to play together it was fun you know was it was a learning environment so culture is the first reason I’m GNA bring up that culture he solidified he established culture here and culture is very important in the rebuild obviously we’re going to the year two for rebuild and having that culture in place is going to be it’s going to pay dividends going forward man because you know whether you know obviously there’s going to be a lot of player movement with was just you know lot you know couple vets including K Kar maybe even Jordan P could be on the Move um so you could see a lot of change or obviously tyus Jones is aned free agent land Shaman is on you know is his uh contract is not guaranteed next year so he’s probably on his way out of DC so but the culture is in place for the young guys you know the young guys have a culture to build upon I think that is very very very key when you look at um why this hiring is such a key hiring for the Washington Wizards because you know he’s he established culture here you know none like I said I’m not gonna get too much into Westell Jr we know where he lacked what his deficiencies were and that’s why he’s no longer the head coach and now the top assistant head coach or top assistant coaches for the Chicago Bulls you know because to to me good assistant coach head coach lot to you know to want and he just wasn’t you know he to me he’s just not a good candidate for head coach now going to Brian Keefe like I said what were the issues on his West man lack of adjustments you saw right away that Brian ke made those adjustments so but gets back to the point man um culture very important for a rebuilding team and you can argue that looking at past rebuilds for the Washington Wizards you know culture wasn’t prioritized now it is and we have that established and now we can move on to the next point which is what patience man you know he’s gonna have patience you know if you look at um his body language like I said I I I corresponded a lot with um coach head coach Brian Keef last year um obviously postgame press conferences and you know he always had a smile on his face you know he he he cares about his players and I’m not saying that you know a criteria to hire a coach is him caring for his players but there’s definitely a really nice attribute to have especially when you have a young cast that we have in DCS that he generally cares about these players he cares about the development he cares about putting them in the best position to be better players and as a whole a better team and so his patience you know because he was very patient with the team last year obviously 15 win season probably I mean it was the worst season in the history of the franchise but a smile is never not on his face you know I mean he was you know and that’s contagious man you know the Good Vibes the the positivity it’s going to rub off of the players and like I said he has patience to where he knows that this is going this is a team that’s going to year two for rebuild he knows that patience has to be something that’s prioritized and preached within the organization because look do does the rebuild have to last forever no but if you want to do it right it’s going to take a while if done right and this hit you know this front office is going to do it right and when you now that you have head coach Brian Keef at the moment a guy who’s going to show that patience who is going to be you know here to teach and set a standard you know I mean so now I guess I’m might add another Point there’s actually four reasons to be excited and I it’s actually another point right there um Point number three setting a standard you know he set a standard holding his players to a standard you know that the fact that you know he he preached the Mantra of playing hard playing to win if you look at the performances in the first half of the Season under whist so junor where you know very often than not in the fourth quarter they’re waving the white flag with 5 minutes left it was that loser mentality where you know players knew that with five minutes left chances are you’re going to see Johnny Davis and the rest of rest of the VCH guys out there playing and they waving the White Flag let’s fast forward a little bit right nah well under Brian Keef They played hard they played good teams hard they played them tough they played to win and that is culture that is a standard you know I mean that’s what you want on a rebuilding team heck that’s what you want on a regular team holding your players accountable holding a standard you know not letting the locker room run a monk not letting the players run the locker room you know setting your foot down solidifying yourself as a head coach and that’s what Brian keth did and that’s what he’s going to do as a new head coach so like I said um very very excited man and I’m gonna get into my last point my last point is scouting and development if you look at the backgrounds of not only head coach Brian Kei but of assistant or pretty much at this point top assistant coach David vanpool their MMO is scouting and development and even you add into you know the the equation the revamp scouting Department you have everything in place for a young team to develop and develop and get to eventually a stage where they can compete in my in my opinion because you and that’s why I’m very excited about this hiring because to me this is the final piece as far as the administrative side now we can focus on the draft you know now we can focus on you know I mean I don’t see it’s very active in free agency but you know we can start now because we have a head coach we have the top assistant we have you know the front officers doing their thing you know so now we can focus on the draft adding Talent scouting talent and developing that Talent man so I’m very excited very very excited because these four points you know I know I started out with three man but you know everything’s subject to change on this channel so we added another one you know the four main reasons why you should be very excited with his hiring is because what he cares he is patient right number one number two standard right he’s going to hold a standard he’s going to he’s or he’s going to hold these players to a standard he’s going to solidify a standard you know this team is GNA play hard and it leads into culture playing hard playing to win you know developing an environment where not only do players want you know are they happy going to work they want to learn they want to get better you know they and number four scouting and development because that is the m o because look this team’s goingon to get younger man I mean saying right now you you’re going to see a lot of these vets if not most of the Vets gone I’m saying right now I mean cou very tradable contract as you know and I ain’t going to get too deep into it because we’ve covered the the last couple videos but um it’s going to be a lot of changes made and they should be it’s G be a younger team so those four reasons you should be very excited y’all very excited now obviously as some of you you know and I and I definitely agree to a certain point that we should have shot High you know Mike boser who is obviously took another job um but all along I think most of us knew and I was a catalyst all year long we’re not all year long obviously but toward you know the second half of the Season towards the end of the season I was a big catalst of Brian Keef getting the job because like I said just on the media side you know talking to him in press conferences and kind of getting KN him a little bit he’s the guy we need in DC he cares you know he’s gonna hold these guys to a standard you know he’s going to cify culture here that is going to instill these guys to play hard to play to win the game and he’s going to in tandem with the scouting Department he’s gonna Scout players and he’s going to develop these players to be key components and key pieces of this team going into the futures so for those four reasons alone you guys should be very very excited potential trades you know now you can focus on you know the the GM side of the logistics of you know what I mean running this team you know that’s how you you know now you got the front man right you got the MC we we got Brian Keith man you know the man behind the mic now you know we can add other components as far as players man we can really now focus on the draft now so it’s a good move man because like I said I think a lot of us knew is gonna happen now I get it a lot of people thought we should aim high and I agree with that you do your due diligence they did that but very very happy deserves it you know he did a good job writing the direction of the ship in the second half of the Season he deserves it and is you know is his job well done last year in my opinion now the work really has just started you know we’re going to year two of a rebuild now he’s the man now a little more responsibility and a little more you know we’re looking at him a little more now you know he’s the man he’s not in him anymore so expectations are a little high now now they’re not too high because obviously we are a rebuilding team so how do you gauge success easy development a young Talent which I think is gonna do well here in DC man so I’m with you John hiim said I like to hire me too brother good move man Echo by Kevin Quinn how you doing man I love the move me too man I’m happy man I’m happy because this is a good move I like bran I I I’m a big fan of BR K and I’m you know I was hoping he got the job and I’m you know it I think a lot of us knew man from the get that it was probably I don’t know let’s look at it maybe a 95% chance he’s gonna get the job unless another candidate emerged but Brian Keef deserves the job and I’m very happy he got the job um John hick said I would like the Wizards to draft Ron Holland he’s a dog you know what we have capabilities in the draft I think that you know there’s Talent that’s obviously at two and there’s Talent at 26 you know I mentioned that today with the video about kaan George man I think he could be available and there’s other names that I’m going go over as far as the 26 pick man but you know we could up and get another high impact guy I get it some people down at this draft but this is a highly developmental draft you’re going to and there are stars in this draft you just going to have to develop them right we have that in place all right so you know I agree with you man ronall is a guy who you know I like his game I I really do I like his game um I covered you know with Matas billas I covered another g- League ignite guy but Ron Holland very high upset I think that you know he’s definitely guy that I’m looking at not at two but definitely is a guy if we move back into the lottery man but who knows man because look like four months ago he was slated to be number one overall and alexar was around fifth to 10th so things change man you know things change obviously Atlanta getting the first all pick which hold another conversation but um Kevin Quinn again says he could be our next Mark dagal I I agree I agree and you know you cannot the connection to OKC there’s a connection there and now we mentioned before with Josh Giddy and I ain’t gonna get in all that because you know this is it was you know 50% 50% whether you want him here or not but connections and relationships matter in the NBA and you know you know Will Dawkins he has a connection with people over a OKC not only as far as how to build a team but Personnel you know so in philosophy so you know he’s going to Echo a lot of what they did in OKC and for good reason because what did OKC do this year one of the best young teams in the NBA so look the model it works so um Rudy Awin didn’t butcher man let’s go Lakers yes are you serious you I mean I’m not gonna get into it man you took your time just go and say let’s go Lakers yeah okay I hear you um Kevin uh Quinn says now let’s trade KZ and TI for some first- round picks in let’s R yeah kma I think that there’s a high chance he gets moved now is there a necessity to do so no we cover that but I very well you know his contract very Team friendly and he’s gonna get a lot of lot of suters man so I definitely think we can get a first round pick and maybe a roll a player back a young player um obviously the asking price at the deadline was two first round picks I don’t know if that’s going to be attainable I mean look I wouldn’t be mad but I mean right now I’m thinking about you know if I’ll take a pick this year and and maybe a pick next year because I mean you know look nothing there’s nothing to say we can’t get a pick for 2025 which look as you guys know is a more popular draft a lot more stars in it man so I’m with you man um and tus we’ll see he’s getting a lot of Buzz I say that and I think that him staying here I think the ship might have sailed I think that Jordan pool right now through the organization is viewed as probably um the long-term option at point guard now it’s something to change now but I think that there’s a lot of love for Jordan P organization I think tus is I think the ship is St um you could do a sign and trade but we’ll see um you know we’ll see I wouldn’t get your hopes up you very well could see ties walk for nothing but I think that this front office I have faith in them I like to a sign and trade get something for tus because he has value there’s going to and there’s going to be a team out there that’s going to you know want his skill set and there’s going to be able to utilize the skill set u bigj 52 said good coach players trust and listen to him now please trade K’s home to Michigan along with gizer in some seconds for the number five I’m with you man that seems to be the consistence and I agree I mean you guys know man I mean you guys know what I’m about man I like who man but this is the business man I mean you know if there’s a move you make number five send him to the Pistons you know right now Houston Rockets said number three is available so we’re going to talk about that the next episode about how many teams are looking to trade their um their draft pick for immediate talent because Kyle kman is gonna get Buzz he can fit in with most of these teams he could fit in with the Pistons he could fit in with the Rockets he could fit in with the Grizzy at number nine he could fit in with Miami at 15 I mean I think there’s a high chance you could see kman getting moved because again he could be a really good piece to a continuing team to help push him over the top in my opinion because look not a scrub it’s just does he fit the timeline I don’t believe so um great player love see him here in DC man you know um thank you for all he’s done on and off the court but let’s be real right now we have to get into a youth movement in my opinion but I’m with you man lot of intrigue I think we definitely move up I’m I got a feeling y’all we’re gonna move up man so I mean Will Dawkins ain’t playing y’all I mean he look let him cook all right isra T said if the Wizards get a chance and do not draft Zachary rash they’re going to kick themselves on their heads three years down the road we’ll see now I there’s a lot of intrigue with Zachary rash I’ll say that he’s got three in D potential he really does and look I like him I do like him but I like you know I like kingan I like Castle um there’s a lot of options in this draft man I get it not a lot of people like it but there’s a lot of good development developmental talent in this draft man and that’s why we have to trade back into the lottery because we gotta grab a couple guys man I mean so yeah he’s definitely a guy I’m looking at but you know Center you can’t I mean ah man if you pass up on 73 280 pound kinging maybe you go get a Zack Eddie 15 there’s a lot of possibilities so that’s why this is so exciting right now because we can focus on the draft and L this front office cook man I’m I’m excited I I really am uh isra also said uh Keith is a great heart absolutely DC onion my guy what’s up man uh be be Keef is just a wizard likee move man come on bro like I mean you don’t like it I mean let me know I mean let me know the reasons why you don’t like it onion I mean I mean I think it’s a good hire now obviously look three years down the road is subject to change you know we become the contending team hopefully you know could we go get a big fish maybe but I mean look coaches could be developed too I mean he’s developing development and scouting he’s shown he can do he can do that you know he’s already done the most important components of a rebuild which is establish culture right and I mean this I mean Brian Keef has the patience look most of these highend coaches they ain’t got the patience I mean look yeah Mike ble has been with organizations that were built from the ground up but you know you got people like Stephen A Smith I’mma keep my comments to myself you know Throwing Shade on the organization is not a desirable destination and you know obviously he hasn’t seen the front office we have you know and we know people like Stephen A Smith and and and anist like him who they’re all about the Lakers the Knicks and and he’s only about the Nicks when they’re winning so I’m not going to put too much into that but um let me know onion man you don’t like the move I I’m tell you man brother I’m I’m tell you I’m Gonna Get You Like to Move man I’m telling you uh ref uh ref the district man what’s up definitely because uh look at his content man definitely I recommend uh Holland at ref the district man man one of my go-to as far as everything watch the commander I’m telling you man uh he said good work Brandon don’t agree with the decision but I still like the direction and the plan I get it man kind of echoing onion I get it you know a lot of people expected it and liked it um I get I get if you wanted the organization to kind of aim a little higher and I get all that man you know do your due diligence you at least reach out to Mike boner and there’s other names out there but I think the the fact that he’s familiar with the situation familiar with the players you know you there’s certain things that’s already in place that you don’t have to wait for with a coach coming in you know you don’t have to wait for the coach to put a stamp in the locker room it’s already established the standard is already made his standard is already is up he’s just he’s solidified you know um he’s we don’t have to go through these grown pains we know what he he’s already been in the locker room he’s got koder and he’s got a relationship with these players he’s got a relationship with the front office he’s got a relationship with ownership you know you don’t have to establish all these all that he’s already in there man so I think that this for the sake of transition or ease of transition it was a good hire man but I I feel you I definitely feel you so definitely appreciate you man definitely definitely appreciate you bro U Dre said Can bow become like Anthony Edwards and be a superstar or does Jordan P still have the potential or is p just not that guy um I’m I’m going say pump the brakes right now on Anthony Edwards because the difference between and it’s not to say the Blau will not develop into a highend talent because he definitely will um but I would say in my opinion he will um but here’s the thing Anthony Edwards came out the gate as that guy now obviously he you know he got better as time went on you know and he but to me he’s probably one he’s he’s going to be one of the faces of the league um not to say the BL can’t because I’m not going to stem the young man’s progress BL is going to be special you know I think we all know that you know uh but looking at you know Anthony Edwards Anthony Edwards came out of Georgia came out of the draft I believe his rookie year he posterized somebody man it was that iconic dunk man when he came off left side of the Baseline and I forget who he dunked on man but but I think that you know if develop right below’s gonna be special and I think we have everything in place man everything in place um Jord P look Jordan p is proven that he can be that guy in the league as far as being that score now if he indeed wants to be a leader if he indeed want to be the point guard or a key component of the Wizards going forward you know obviously he’s proven that he can handle the pressure you know he showed that this year and but obviously if he wants to be that point guard he’s got to find other ways to get other people better we know that JP 13 can score we just want to see him add those other components you know and the vision’s there you know we’ve seen the vision so um I think B and Jordan po can both potentially be key pieces of this team going forward now could Jordan P at some point be a tradable commodity yeah but looking at the age looking at the fact that he has hit his prime I think that right now he’s definitely a player that you have to consider being a long-term fit here in DC um so definitely let me know what you guys think um antisocial extrovert W that’s a mou fo um I’ve known Vanderpool since seventh grade The Whiz have a detail attention to detail coaching staff I’m Optimist I’m with you I’m high on David Vanderpool and that’s cool you know seventh grade man um with him backing up briyan Keef we’ve got the coach I mean obviously they have to add to the coaching staff but those two are they’re going to do well scouting Talent you know working in tent with the scouting Department developing these young players and setting you know a standard on these players and getting this this franchise these players ready to take that next step right now we’re rebuilding we’re evaluating talent but we’re we are well on the road back to relevancy and it’s been a while man so I’m a big believer I like this hire you know I love the I love this this front office I love him so I agree with you um link says this was a correct move he has been in a lot of good winning situations and players like him absolutely also it is nice to get to see what he can do in your organization you hire him and that’s what I’m saying the ease of transition I think you don’t you know you bring a new coach in you know he’s gotta he’s got to solidify his the standard of what he’s about you know he’s got to put his foot down and say I’m the coach take over the locker room which Wesell didn’t do Bri ke’s done that he set a standard he’s solidified culture he’s done everything that a new head coach coming in would have to do so now we can focus exclusively on the draft and getting these guys ready and getting and gearing up towards training camp and getting ready for this new year man and you know you can bypass a lot of the grown bains so I definitely agree with that man uh P said um start P kissper Denny baggley and draft the center I like that and now kissper I’m more inclined if if P’s your point guard I’m more inclined to have balow at the two guard because you know obviously defense is is an area that Jordan P hasn’t improve on and any back court you we saw it with tus and Jordan P you know when you have an undersized back court that can’t defend you know you got to have a Defender so I think that right now obviously it’s something to change you know depend on who you get in the draft if we get a castle you know boom he could be a two guard but right now I would say Bal is best fit at the two guard kisper to me is that scoring punch Off the Bench I’m looking at as being sixthman Bagley at power forward if we move on from CZ yeah I like that I like that um so let’s see and then draft the center yeah I just had a brain far um so draft the center you know clinging Eddie we’ll see but man it’s exciting because we man now again we can focus on the draft all right so let’s see the Son of God says I like it but I hope it wasn’t because he was the only guy who wanted the job now I mean let’s be real Pi was one of the few people but let’s be let’s be 100 about it right but you know obviously if you Echo the comments again made by Stephen A SM about you know how nobody wants a job I don’t believe that I think that you look at the front office you they shown their competent front office so coaches want to be part of that I mean and you know like I said you got CZ who has connection to other players Jordan P has connection other players know they’re they’re gonna they’re going to build this team up you know this front office is going to find the players you know this coaching staff is going to develop these players and they we gonna be all right man because like I said this hire enables us to keep our eyes on the prize which is developing you know I mean and getting ready for the draft you know U so you know I I’m with you man I’m with you um obviously it wasn’t the most sexiest jobs but BR ke was a man you know I definitely thought that you know it was his job from the get um but we’ll see we shall see all right uh antisocial extrovert man again that’s a mouthful why not keep C’s another season his mentorship could prove beneficial all young players need vets I agree with that too I mean even if you go get a guy who could potentially be the replacement at the four you know there’s no really rush to move coups now if you do you know I mentioned it you know Mar Backle third could be the guy at with his size who could replace him so there’s a lot of intangibles you know you don’t necessarily need to move C but the thing is with CZ man is that you want to get your max value for him and while I don’t I personally don’t think his value is gonna get that much higher not to say he doesn’t have a high value because he does you know he’s been a consistent source of points 20 plus points a game he’s been you know leadership brings you know Championship DNA so he’s definitely a guy that can be beneficial to this team but on the flip side while contract is very team freely it’s team freely not only to the wizards but to other teams for potential trade suitors so I think that he’s he’s going to end again moved in my opinion but I I I definitely definitely Echo that too I definitely agree with you um so we got a lot of comments I’m G try to knock them all out before we roll oh man Lord we got a lot of so um he we might have to save him for Friday all right get back to Dre we should get Minnesota assistant coach I heard the Lakers are interested him also I yeah I saw that too that is starters and stars in the league is going to help in his development now is to say you know is it is it a better option than summer league to a certain degree I think so yeah have to say it would be a bad option to put him in summer league I think that but I think that Team France and the international play would do wonders for his development in my opinion uh let’s see p said kissper is better than Below in certain areas shooting definitely but defense not so much but they’re both really good players who both could start it too man so I’m with you on that um let’s see lock on law uh bow
