want to start looking at potential draft picks and and what we have to look at is what players actually have the potential to have an immediate impact you know what I mean you guys can hit me up with this player that player this player could be good in the future and all these things that’s not what’s going to happen I don’t think you know unless he really has his hands tied and is forced to draft the best player available if he’s going to use the draft pick he’s going to try to get somebody that he thinks can make an immediate impact somebody maybe like a Derek Lively who could play backup other than Tristan D Silva for immediate impact 68 forward who literally does everything on the basketball court let’s go check out Tristan dilva I’ve heard the name I’m not an idiot I’m not under a rock I see High lights from the tournament and things like that so I know who you’re talking about but I don’t think I’ve ever really watched him play so let’s check it out Tristan dilva is one of this draft’s older players which means he has a more polished skill set than most projected in the mid to late first round D Silva has a refined shot shooting above average on nearly five attempts from three per game during his last season I like the fact that he’s one of the draft’s older players that means that he could be uh you know seasoned and ready to go ready to play in the NBA much like a Mel Bridges was who the Sixers then traded away for peanut allergy but we’re not going to go there uh so Tristan D Silva could be a NBA Ready Player based on his age his level of you know Years playing college basketball so he could be uh a plug-and-play typee of player who could have an impact as a rookie he has a more poish skill set than most projected in the mid to late first round so he’s projected to be NBA ready so yeah you know uh Maxi staying on Twitter you’re right if the Sixers were going to draft somebody they would probably be looking at somebody that’s NBA ready to go draft notes on Tristan dilva a big forward with great floor spacing ability and good decision making can play the three or four and doesn’t need the ball in his hands a lot to be effective has a really clean jumper and good accuracy from three-point land big Shooters like him will find a spot in the league is a solid rebounder and can rip and run isn’t a great open court athlete or Above the Rim player but has decent handles plays with his head up and can lead the break a good connective passer who doesn’t stall the ball a solid Team Defender who can guard the three or the four now I don’t want to compare somebody who hasn’t played a day in the NBA to a lri marinin but a lot of you guys think lri marinin is the best thing since sliced bread and you know if obviously he’s probably not available via trade and if he is he’s going to cost more than the Sixers have but if you were going to draft somebody in the draft I think you guys are right I think that’s the type of player the Sixers would be looking for it’s the type of player the Sixers are always looking for first of all is a wing who can catch and shoot at a high percentage at a high attempts per game who can space the floor for embiid and also can help out with defense and rebounding so just from what I’m reading right here and the fact that he’s a fouryear senior uh tells me that he he it would be the right choice if Daryl doesn’t get what he wants via trading that number 16 pick if he was forced to use it to draft somebody just by reading this I would say he’s definitely one of the guys that uh he should be looking at now let’s go watch some film of this guy Tristan dilva 6’9 220 22 years old forward average 165 2.4 assists 1.1 steals 49% from the field 39.5% from three and 83% three-point shooter sounds good to me let’s check them out can we can we can we get some clips here all right here we go let’s check them out is that him right there number one where he at oh there he is number 23 is that him there he is oh oh that’s some NBA range right there quick pullup too man I like that so you know a lot of times I look at the percentages on three-point shooting Etc and you know I’m always like yeah but that’s that’s a college three-point line actually is the college three-point line the same as the NBA three-point line these days it used to be the same as a high school three-point line I guess it is moved back when how did I miss that anyway let’s watch the Silva man here he is bringing the ball up oh he’s got some ball handling skills he’s got some awareness on on on where the defender at all the way down and finish with the left I like that now of course you know you always take up the grain of salt because who are these random you know white kids that he’s playing against but uh why in the draft for a player that could have an immediate impact I think he could have an immediate impact when you look at this roster right now who who else plays that position like that on this team nobody he could have an immediate impact and you never know he could be so good that through halfway through the season he could be in the starting lineup now does Nick nurse play a rookie in the playoffs I think somebody like a rookie councel who’s an undrafted guy out of the g-league ETC you know you know Nick nurse is is a little bit more reluctant to play a guy like that in the playoffs but a a a a first round draft pick who had that type a skill set in college and is a high Prospect uh I could see nurse actually playing the kid and trusting him um so yeah uh uh you know I’m all in
