Sounds like Boston after finishing 57-25 last season they planned on running it back. But because of what other teams did, a few phone calls later Porzingis and Holiday became available to them and they made a few changes to round out the roster.

Meh, standard GM/PBBO talk. You want to take every call, because you never know what kind of deal might start from it. We only see the 5-10% of deals that actually make it to completion. There are many more that get batted around but never get past the talking stage.

Sounds like continuity is the plan as long as ownership pays the tax, unless some team calls and makes a godfather offer for Gobert or Kat.

If the Mavs are the favorites going forward and win the title, it’s harder to justify running back if they are the new team to beat and you didn’t seem to have the personnel answers to compete with them in this series.

Translation: “If a team offers a crazy KAT trade we’ll look at it, but we aren’t expecting that to happen”

I’ve heard him interviewed in other places and it’s pretty clear he values continuity and patience.

Sounds like big Changes are planed. With certain guys already identified as targets.

I’m sure there are teams out there that are just trying to be relevant again. KAT will help them so he’s prolly just keeping options open.

Tim knows what to do. Hit that trade machine my boy

I’m ready to run it back. I’m also ready to move on from any players not nicknamed ANT, NAW, and Naz.

Run it back. If Jaden and NAW take another step offensively, let Anderson go and get more offense in his role we’re a Finals team.

We need a back up point guard that can play in the playoffs, we look terrible without Conley out there and McLaughlin almost got zero run in the playoffs.
I think we also need a volume 3pt wing who can get their shots up quick
Won’t be surprised no matter what happens but I’m curious to how this offseason will play out

We absolutely need to find a reliable backup pg that can play decent minutes.
Pointless_Rhetoric
err not error. I can’t tell if that was intentional or not
WeakLocalization
If they can run it back they should run it back I think. If they can get the offense ok into the top 10 with some tweaks/more consistency they will be a contender next year.
Also it’s “err” not “error” idk if it was a program transcribing or not but sounded pretty funny 😅

Dane more making an error on the word error (should be err) is pretty funny

In other words if ATL will take Rudy, NAW & 1 rounder for Trey Young we will make the deal

“We plan to run it back unless we get some big offer for KAT” is how I see it

Continuity vs Complacency. It is a tough road to walk. Are you showing faith in your players by standing pat or are you short changing them by not trying to improve the roster? There is a balance that is never found as each player is such a big piece of the puzzle each move rocks you off center.
