Luka’s handle is so underappreciated. The extra dribble gives Luka more depth in the paint to set up either a shot or a pass. To get this dribble off cleanly with 6’10 Anderson behind him reaching, Conley digging, and Rudy in front just shows the insane skill that Luka makes look so routine.

People been talking about his handles since he came in the league.
There’s a video circulating about luka not being able to dribble well while bouncing a small ball at a wall. But his handles are alright.
What’s insane is the two best players in the world at utilizing the hang dribble both play on the same team haha and idk if you can even say who’s better because they use it in almost polar opposite ways.
Ky uses it to initiate his attack in iso—it unlocks all the stupid shit he does with ball because that hang dribble freezes you since he can easily pull up in your face so you have to respect it.
Luka can/does use it in iso too, but his hang dribble in the lane coming off a PnR is part of what makes him unguardable because when he brings the ball up you don’t know if he’s going to throw a lob, kick out, shoot, or keep dribbling and you literally have to respect all of them which is obviously impossible. The hang dribble is essentially a triple threat position while his dribble is already live lol
He got the best handles in the league for players as big as him. LeBron is probably the second best, but not as good as Luka
