interim coach for the last 39 games of the season and technically you see where the season’s going and I found it funny though because I wanted to go with the Chief Keef name but then I also looked at it and I was like well we got Ryan and Mike so did Mike will make this pick I guess I don’t know what’s going on did the Wizards do the right thing and Joe I’m torn man I’m G need you need talk me off the fence I don’t know I’m torn I was talking to my good man out and he was saying like man it’s the best thing for us man like ke you know he the team the morale it all went up and I was like yeah but I’m feeling like Randy Whitman all over again because when the Wizards lost I forgot his name ah their last head coach and then Randy Whitman took over I seen the increase in morale between John Wall Bradley Bill and the young players they played defense a little bit better they made two playoff series they wouldn’t beat the Bulls D Rose was not there fact check for a few episodes ago they wouldn’t beat the Bulls then they swept the Raptors you know the Wizards was doing good things and then out of nowhere it’s a slow slope happened again but the wizard wasn’t in a rebuild and the Wizards had Ernie granfield and Tommy Shepard after that so look one thing I can’t say about this coaching higher is one look at the morale the morale around the team did increase the Young players they their confidence was there Cory kissper went from just shooting threes to actually attacking the rim a little bit more so so showing that he wanted to be a two-way player I want to say maybe that ATT test to Brian stepping in over West because we all we don’t we not talking about West we moving forward we saying POS you talking about Denny growing into being more of a playmaker that confidence came back then one one drastic move that he made that made everyone go hm he stopped starting Jordan p and he made him come off the bench and made him be a six man and and that’s tough when you got a team that’s wants uh Jordan P to be the franchise player and then you got a coach just like really don’t know if he got the job or not to say hey I’m gonna make this decision if you like it you like it if you don’t you don’t it is what it is I guess it’s one of those things where you like what they gonna do fire me oh well if we start winning games they can’t but it actually improved Jordan Po’s play he went from averaging almost like 12 points a game to going back to scoring 30 20 to 30 points a game and he was actually knowing his role in the offense so those are some of the positives that you got to get there and this team wasn’t built to win in the first place so I didn’t expect him to go on a win streak right after the allstar break or whenever they moved West upstairs and now west is and with the bulls as one of the top assistant coaches hey Wes you should have just stayed in the front office I don’t know why you want to go back to coaching but hey you were doing good with the with the Nuggets so maybe that’s just where you at maybe you need to be an assistant coach his experience is always it’s one of those things that really got me on the fence Joe you always say it you always say it the Wizards need a coach with some experience him being an assistant coach for this long I just don’t know and I’ll name some of the teams and then I’ll let you uh talk about it yeah Tay like you said he did make a coaching adjustment that made y’ better you know and and y’all were more competitive I feel like when he was a head coach I mean y’all beat us when he’s a head coach you know your other boy head coach you know you know we that you know put that whooping on y’all but uh but yeah so I like it but he did beat his on right for New Year last year so yeah I mean at the end of the day that’s why I am on the side of I do like this move the reason why I’m always on the fence is because I feel like some of the names that the guys are saying in the chat actually in the comments I actually wanted like not Jared Deli but I’m with you on the same C Jared Deli is pretty pretty a good gu too yeah you know but you know Wizard’s T is there too he’s he’s M I’m not gonna say too much but uh but uh it’s one of those things where you want to give a young coach but also a veteran you get what I’m saying because Sam C also played the game but he’s also been around a lot of winning cultures I mean with Brian he’s been around a lot of he’s been I would say he’s vet as as far as being an assistant but as far as being around winning coaches and I seen it firsthand with Sam Cel being our assisant coach the same thing that you said about Rondo I literally got to watch him do what John Wall and Bradley Bill like the first year when Randy took over he took John Wall and I think it was just him and John Wall they want to go watch the Clippers whole playoff series so he could become a better player then the next year they brought bill with him so that just shows you he invest in the players and that’s just something that I wanted to see personally so maybe it’s just the personal bias that I had for wanting to see Sam Cel get there and how he’s always being overlooked it’s like here you go again another moment where he’s being overlooked but hey maybe Brian could be Al Joe Missoula or our Darvin ham I don’t know or Mark Jackson I I don’t want to say mark because I think Mark Mark buil the Warriors right there and then they just took off once they let him go hey he might be your mark or he might be your Brad Stevens I mean he might be your I don’t know he he could be your bridge to your next guy cuz you don’t really need like like I would have loved Sanel though to grow with these guys and all that stuff brown but what Sanel take this job though you phone and say hey what would you do with this team and Mike buenos was one of those people that they did call they was I think they had the same mindset that you said Joe it’s like well we’re in the midst of a rebuild do we want to bring Mike here for a rebuild and basically waste his time I know Kenny Yin wasn’t coming he turned down jobs to stay with the Warriors so Ken yakin W Gonna Come um now that for a situation kind of like this that would have been interesting but would he do that though because if he fails and they be bad they’re bad then like a like a new coach first time head coach taking a bad taking a job for a bad team is not really smart I remember Steve C was talking about getting the Nick’s job and then the Warriors job came up and and everybody was like bro don’t go to the Knicks go to the Warriors bro because the Knicks gonna make you look bad he was bad too yeah and Phil Jackson was there when Bri Keith was there too so yeah n that’s probably why he got out of there so that’s probably what it was Tomo like people didn’t probably want to take the job so y’all just set up for what y already have and then build the team and then y’ can be a more attractive destination like when Mike Brown came to the Kings although we didn’t make the playoffs right but M but we had pieces you know what I mean we had some pieces that we can work with they talked about getting Malle M we had a high pick and kick Ray was in the drift Dean fo was a All-Star caliber type player here you know what I mean so there there was some attraction there but when the Wizards it’s like you got I feel like it’s it’s what we talked about with the big the uh the mid three like like you got you got guys who aren’t gonna be Superstars this point BL they’re not none of these D the one thing I will say this is if if Brian Keef can get Jordan P back to that finals Jordan P I think that’ll be a big check mark on his record because if you can get Jordan P back to playing like that with that confidence and that that energy that he brought back to the team I think that’s a good look that’s a good challenge for him and make him an Allstar that’s a stretch but I’m just saying y’ they were coming off of what a three and 13 year before they got Drew Brees went 10 and six literally the next season which was good enough for second NFC was week uh Ravens was second at 13 and3 that year um but yeah 10 six good enough for second and made the NFC championship game but they lost I believe it in Chicago that year um he got the ring in I want to say 09 08 or 09 um he funny enough I was talking about the 2011 MVP thing in the chat he didn’t win MVP over Aaron Rogers but he won offensive player of the year which makes no sense to me how is one quarterback MVP and one quarterback offensive player of the year makes no sense just make one of them both but he’s led the league countless times and passing yards passing touchdowns uh passer rating completion percentage um his teams has been leading the league in scoring in yards um he did get screwed twice in the playoffs with the Min Minnesota miracle and that terrible nonp pass interference call that could have maybe got him another ring maybe one of those two years but he he has in my opinion a case even though he has one ring and no MVPs he’s had years where he’ led the league in both passing yards and passing touchdowns and did not win MVP so I don’t think he’s top five but I think he got a case over some guys you might not think he has a case over Joe yeah Jud re great quarterback I think that he definitely top five in his in his time in his time you got Tom Brady pay Manning um Aaron Rogers and then probably him to in my opinion I think he’s fourth in his time all right all right go ahead go of the numbers but then but when you watch what C war did you like War you Riv War come on I Ain gonna lie Philip Riv is tough it’s just his playoff performances just leads a lot to be desired so like that one just about all time I don’t know would y’all say he top 10 yeah I think for sure he’s top 10 top five the top of my head I would say yes but obviously you know the confirm oh this the one point I wanted to bring up because thamos said it’s hard to say he’s top five with no MVPs in a ring I would argue that a lot of people thought Dan Mar Reno at one point was one of the best with no Super Bowls and one MVP well I think two maybe but that had a lot to do with his individual Talent too D Marino is a better I I get you but Dan Marino is literally Pro like if we talking about who’s the best quarterback in NFL history just Talent Dan Marino was in that conversation Drew Brees is not he’s not in that conversation because Dan Marino was was wildly talented this Raw Talent so J re is not in that conversation I don’t understand how like one of the most accurate quarterbacks ever he’s also beaten the standard of being short and being accurate and he’s also very talented let me ask you this would you compare Rogers and and uh Rogers and uh Drew Brees who who got the most Talent or in your here you like oh yeah a Rogers not because the style of play is different Aaron Rogers is the one scrambling buying time and making throws on a run on pocket ask a question if I say who’s more talented because style of play okay if I say who’s more talented Aaron Rogers or Dan Marino
