DET likely needs the 26th pick sent their way but no chance DET gives up the 5th pick for Kuz in real life

Why would Detroit do this? Or even Miami lol

Detroit says no Id think. Not a terrible proposal though.

I could definitely see Kuz for Grimes/Stewart trade. I quite like that tbh. Grimes would be a good starter for us and would fit nicely with our young core.

I doubt that Kuz could help the Pistons much, with his inconsistent shooting. Even though, they would get the better player on paper.

  5. Detroit and Miami both hang up at record speed

Detroit could get a much better player than Kuz at 5

    Wizards: need picks
Pistons: wanted to be better already and won’t have a salary for another young player extension. Kuz is very cheap so this helps them a lot.
Miami: in win now mentality so they need to get rid of bad contracts to free space for a sign. This is a development draft so they care less. Getting Stawart and Grimes together with the pick can provide more assets for another trade.

pistons unfortunately. I like the attempt though. I think it works if we give 15 to detroit and kuzma. and keep thre rest of the same. TBF I’d be thrilled with #5 even if we have Duncan’s contract.

    It looks good.

Here is food for thought: Can we really get 2 No.1’s for Kuz? That to me is the question here. I keep seeing that is the price. Now, would either of those 2 no. 1’s really be #5 overall? Almost certainly not….

But realistically this is effectively Kuzma for Reed Shepard, Buzilies, Holland maaaybe or Dillingham vs. 10-20 (just a guess) in 25 & 26. My question is Who says no to ***that***?
