the first coach ever ever to get their own slam cover Bennett do you know about this the first coach ever to get their own Slam Magazine cover ever is going to be we don’t it’s not out yet it’s coming out it’s coming out I’m gonna say it is is it Becky it’s not no is it wait but you’re like along the right lines sort of kind of is it first on the right lines is it a is you’re on the right gender yeah well she’s the she’s the champ I mean she who’s another champ uh oh Dawn there yeah okay I I always think I think NBA when I’m thinking Slam Magazine that of course you think NBA of course you doo Chief Excellence officer um as someone who thinks NBA when you think slam Bennett isn’t slam an NBA magazine is this cool it’s a basketball magazine okay which as we’ve established women also one sport shout out Lang um shout out Lang in Lang like one of The Originators yeah I got invited to that that cool party I know I was jealous yeah Langs OG yeah uh no that’s awesome shouts to Don Staley she’s great yeah I’m a big fan what do you want me to say I don’t know I thought you’d have like more uh this is history his story her story tell her story okay uh no that’s awesome congrats to Dawn um I’m sure that she’ll have another team that goes undefeated next season and beats the crap out of everybody that they play including the University of Memphis they’re coming here they’re coming here yeah oh that’ll aot it’s an exhibition game so it doesn’t count oh so you guys think I’m not going to that here wrong exhibition can we get Don Staley in I think so don’t quot that’s what I think it is I know I’m gonna work on it I would love nothing more she has to come on your show I think she’s one of what right now she has to come on your showan we talk about obviously the NBA is such an a weird time right now with coaching like if every coach is getting fired constantly rep place like there there’s just it’s going to be really difficult for a coach to Garner like icon status because things move so quickly people get fired people get replaced and who’s the most iconic coach in the NBA right now pop pop and he’s been there for who’s going to be after that like Steve Kerr is not going to move into that place Taylor Jenkins I don’t think so he’s been there for a long time damn straight yeah I me he going be one of the longest ten but even like when you think about right now one of the longest ten Doc Rivers who has moved around many times at this point like Don Staley if she stays at South Carolina and thus far all signs have pointed to her being committed to be there it’s in the same territory as like a Pat Summit or a Gino ARA just people who like very much change the game by staying in one spot and we don’t see that often and so I think it’s very very cool and she’s just an really cool person like from what she wears to how she interacts with people to saying the right things about the game to riding and dying for her players and supporting them through um a lot of unfair criticism for that South Carolina team this year too so shout out John Don Staley yeah the Gary Paris show live weekdays at 10:00 a.m.
