it’s getting to be a yearly thing where the Memphis Grizzlies have a late draft pick and end up with a dude who becomes an absolute steal in the NBA so two years ago they drafted Vince Williams Jr with the 47th pick now he is one of the best defenders in the league he got signed to a bargain contract and in a redraft he is a guy who would easily be a lottery pick then last year they drafted GG Jackson gilg Georgina Jackson himself they picked him at number 45 in the draft GG just made the all rookie second team and is the youngest player in the NBA this guy something about him gives me Paul George Vibes he has legit All-Star potential and then with the 2024 NBA draft just around the corner there is no way the Grizzlies are not doing this again and shocking the NBA welcome everybody my number nine number 39 and number 57 in the draft so in today’s video I’m going to offer up some names on who the Grizz should get with that 39th pick first off Ryan Dunn he’s a 67 214 lb big from from Virginia something about these University of Virginia guys they always do well in the NBA but Ryan Dunn one of the best defenders in the class he’s a player who can lock down multiple positions he’s a guy who for the year averaged 1.3 Steals and 2.3 blocks per game he’s got great size he’s bouncy he’s strong he’s got an NBA body offensively is where he’s going to give you a problems though not a good shooter at all from the three-point line 20% and then 53% % from the free throw line you’re drafting him to be a defensive Menace and hope that he eventually gets some semblance of an offensive game he’s worth a shot same with Justin Edwards 67 209 Wing from Kentucky he was the number three player coming into college basketball this past season but he did not have the most shall we say impactful season with the Kentucky Wildcats you can see his stats right there but he had has all the tools as they say to be a pretty solid player at the NBA level he’s got length he’s got a pretty good skill set he just does need to be consistent he needs to become a better guy you can rely on to hit the three ball as well but by all accounts he’s a hard worker he did have a pretty productive NBA Combine a few weeks ago so maybe take a swing on him he was a top five pick this time a year ago in previous M drafts another guy this name might surprise you Trenton flowers 67 Ford who played in the Australian League this past year the numbers do not pop off the page with him but when he was given minutes and as the year went on he did get better so he’s a lob threat who feeds off set plays to get dunks he runs the floor hard in transition he doesn’t shy away from contact he’s a guy who has link and has you know a pretty good set of moves to score the ball I think his three-point shot does have some potential to improve so I think he makes sense here as a guy who could be a real boom or bust type of player if anything I would give him the minutes you would ordinarily give to zy Williams I feel like he could be just as productive another guy I want to talk about Jaylen Bridges 67 Wing about 215 lbs he played most recently for Baylor but he is that quintessential role player who enhances everything that his teammates do just a really good connective piece he can shoot he can create a little little bit he can move without the ball he gets open to shoot thre so a pretty smart basketball player he plays a pretty mistake free brand of basketball but I think in the 30s is a pretty good spot for him and the same with Cam Christie brother of Lakers player max Christie but cam about 66 three-point Sharpshooter deep range your prototypical two guard is Cam Christie really nice stroke from three really good footwork he can drain threes off movement or he can pull up off the dribble kind of Desmond Bane vibes from cam Christie okay so he’s going to continue to expand his skill set I think it was a bit of a surprise that he declared after one year in Minnesota but I think he’s got a shot to be pretty good then you have Dylan Jones 6’6 230 lb Weber State one of those small school guys who could end up being one of the better players in the draft in my humble opinion but he’s Shifty he has a good handle good passing Vision decisive off the bounce where he finds Cutters spot up Shooters also a creative ball handler who uses that big frame to get advantage over his Defender so he creates space he can make shots even make shots in traffic pretty good through contact and I think he’s going to figure things out as a shooter 80 plus% from the line in his college career so I think that bodess well for his shooting longterm and just the rebounding I am in love with averaged over nine a game he had multiple games where he had double digit rebounds he had one game where he had 23 rebounds the Grizzlies are a team that needs rebounding then finally this is the guy who I would pick if he’s still there Baylor shyman from kraton University 67 200 lbs or so just a good shooter drains threes from Way Beyond The Arc using screen handoffs he moves within the flow of the offense so really good ball handler who attacks close outs he can pull up he’s got a floater that he utilizes he can get all the way to the rim so somewhat athletic he’s got Pig and roll skills he was the best player on a top college team last year in Katon University so I think bayor shyan is another guy who may surprise some people he might not even make it this far I could see him going to a team like Bost or Denver in the late 20s but if Baylor shyman is here he would be an extremely nice pickup at this position he’s going to have like a 12year career he’s going to be the hame hakz of this year’s draft so if he’s there at 39 Grizzlies you got to take him okay there you
