Getting the perfect fit for the team while also getting younger and a good player on an expiring for financial flexibility going forward. We won’t be able to pull it off, but a man can dream

I’m quitting the Hawks if they trade the 1st pick for a “very good player.” Ingram is very good, a number two (at best). This would be the Pau for Shareef all over again.

“The hawks would include the #1 pick, but would prefer to give up Capela”

lol this tweet should not be taken serious whatsoever

I would literally jump over the moon for a herb and bi for Hunter Murray and OO trade

Edit: I’d even throw in the kings pick as well lol

Trae BI herb JJ and Sarr 🤤

  5. I too would prefer to give up Capela in that deal.

Dear lord please don’t trade the #1 pick for that package.

I’m sorry but I genuinely think Dejounte alone is miles more valuable than Brandon Ingram. He’s gonna be on a much more reasonable deal longterm and I honestly believe he’s just a better basketball player in general.

The Pelicans should be forever grateful if we swap them Dejounte for Ingram straight up.

One thing that bothers me about all the Ingram rumors is that his extension would kick in right when Jalen’s would as well. Given ownership’s track record (edit: in regards to spending), I find it hard to believe that we’d be able to fill out a viable team around a Trae-Ingram-Jalen core. Granted, this all depends on what Ingram and Jalen would get, but if you aren’t able to resign at least one of them on a low deal I begin to question our long-term financial viability (especially since Trae will be up for a new contract soon). Especially considering all the other stuff surrounding any Ingram trade, I’d be really concerned if we pulled the trigger without him agreeing to a good deal

  9. Ingram can’t even make it through a season. Dude is on the decline

  10. That dude isn’t a rando. I follow him lol

To add, I think people don’t understand Ingram is getting 200/4. That’s an insane contract. At best, it’s net neutral. If they pay Ingram, they can’t pay Trey Murphy.

To get a cheap PG and cheap C in Murray and OO, that’s a pretty good haul for NO.

I can see them wanting to do Murray for Ingram straight up. I think that’s a fairly reasonable trade depending on which side of the ball you’re on. Murray would be a much better fit since that would allow CJ to slot back into the 2.

Now personally, I don’t think Herb is worth the 1st pick, so I sure as hell don’t see how adding Hunter in there is logical. Now if we take out the 1st pick, and replace it with OO or Capela then we’re winning the trade. But if I’m the Pelicans, I would not trade Ingram/Herb for Murray, Hunter, OO/Capela.

What we want wouldn’t make sense for the Pels and what they want wouldn’t make sense for the Hawks. Personally, I’m going to be in a pretty crappy mood if we gave up DJM, 1st pick, and Hunter for Ingram/Herb.

The next Twitter anon with a couple thousand followers who says their rumors are “sourced” or “confirmed” and actually has sources who confirm things will be the first. On top of that, it’s a Pels Twitter anon confirming he’s “sourced” something on the Atlanta FO…

Come on, THIS IS NOT A REAL THING

  13. HawksAnt2021

No way we are going to pay Ingram max contract so there is no way we are trading for him…he makes sense, and at an DJM type contract I’d be down, but not if he wants a max contract.
