Wizards role players are perfect pickups right now because if you’re on the Wizards it means your value is at an all time low, so teams can get good players for extremely low cost.
We have a bad habit of signing role players to great deals and then giving out massive, franchise-crippling deals to others which negates any of the good team building we did before.

Hear that Kuzma suitors? I think Poole could be a good piece for you guys also! Just give us a few firsts and you have a deal!

You make a trade with the Wiz and you go to the finals… or you get saddled with an albatross contract. No in between
We had guys all in almost every playoff team. As someone (prolly turbo2x) noted, we take role players and give them way too much responsibility. So they suck for us. But put them on another team in a specific role and they can be okay or even excel.
It really does feel sometimes like we aren’t even a real NBA team. We have a long long long way to go.
