With no true consensus #1 maybe trading and getting Castle and Clingan could solve some of our problems. If we could trade Murray and Capela and get a decent rotation 2 and 3 think we’d have a decent lineup.

I personally don’t think so. On the rarest of rare occasions to have the #1 pick and a choice of any prospect in the draft, I think it’s too good to pass up on. I get it’s supposedly a weak draft but I feel this is the perfect opportunity for the FO to finally get something right. With picks 4 and 8 I feel our FO would love to over complicate things.

More young players isn’t what the team needs, unless you’re looking to win a G league championship. Guys like Gueye and Vit and Bufkin need some minutes this year. Adding 2 more rookies is too much imo

Anyone that accepts this has brain trauma

I’d consider it depending who was there… I think it would need to be a situation where they wanted the guy we drafted and we traded that guy for two guys they draft that we definitely want… Castle and Clingan make sense but could definitely get screwed.
I like Sarr but if we could leave with Zac and Castle I’d be a happy man.
Bigger picture, the Spurs could leave here with Castle and Sheppard and be in a pretty good spot. They’d need to LOVE Zac to do this.

Let’s not overcomplicate things imo. We got #1 handed to us. Take the best prospect. We move

4, 8 and 2025 pick back at a bare minimum

No, EV on those picks is way less than #1 overall even this year, they’d have to offer more.

Where’s all this Castle talk coming from? First I’ve really heard people mentioning his name on our sub. Not sure the fit with him on our current roster and already needing minutes for Kobe.

If SA wants to trade our 2025 pick and 4 for 1, I’m interested. Otherwise they can fuck off.
The 2025 draft is stacked and getting a lottery pick there is like getting another top 5 pick in this draft

As a Spurs fan I wouldn’t make this trade either this year. But our teams are in different places with different priorities too so something like this doesn’t make sense for either side really.
