Rant: Is the Wizards asking price too high for Kyle Kuzma? Are Deni and Kispert untouchable?

is the asking price for Kyle kozma too Steep and is Denny and Corey kissper Untouchable and why they should and should not be we going talk about that and more next on locked on [Music] Wizards you are locked on Wizards your daily Washington Wizards podcast part of the locked on podcast Network your team every day what’s up everybody it’s your boy Brandon Scott again and I appreciate you guys fanduel.com locked on to get started so today we’re going to ask an important question is the asking price of two first round picks a two two steep um for Kyle kusma and we’re going to look at Denny and Cory kisser could they be Untouchable and should they or should they not be so let’s get into it everybody this is GNA be a small little rant but it is what it is again I appreciate you guys rocking with me every single day so let’s get into it Kyle kman I’m we’re going to read a report real quick uh this is per uh this is through Legion Hoops on the Twitter AKA X but as per um the source is Brett seagull NBA so definitely definitely check him out um as far as a source for NBA news um he says the report is the Wizards are still seeking multiple first round picks in trade talks surrounding Kyle K heading into the off season so let’s dig into it as the British say um let’s see I’m I’m g hit this from different perspectives um let me start by saying this before I get into what I’m about to get into um number one I’m a big fan of his front office I I feel like will Dawkin is he going to be a really good J uh general manager I think he already has shown that he can be um obviously there’s a long road and he has many moves to go before he can really solidify himself as being a good general manager but I think he’s definitely hid down the right direction a big fan of Michael Winger as president of basketball operations and in charge of player personel Trav schink I think he’s GNA be is going to do and has been doing an Immaculate job now I have pretty much agreed with probably 98% of what this front office has done and I’m going start by saying that I’m a big believer in this front office I think this front office is going to get us where we need to go now I’ve agreed with 98% of them but I will tell you one thing that I have not agreed with um let me start by saying Kyle kman you know um people you know I very often when it comes to not only in sports but in society period um we have to be put into camps right uh it’s not really a free of Mind as far as having an opinion either you’re with somebody or against somebody and I think that obviously when it comes to anything in society especially Sports I mean you can’t H that mentality um I like who I I like him as a player I like who what kind what type of player he has developed into since he’s been in DC you know going from a rooll guy with the the Los Angeles Lakers becoming you know a number one threat becoming more of a complete player here you know definitely setting Roots into the community we can open up restaurants you know being very active in the community uh doing a lot of stuff off the court not only in the Washington DC area in the lwi income areas of Washington DC that is but also in his hometown in Flint Michigan which we all know Water Crisis poverty they have their fair share of issues also so um he’s done Immaculate work off the court now when he was resigned to a contract it was a team friending contract why is that two factors and then I’m and you guys know me I’m gonna be 100 with what I’m about to say I’m gonna give you my opinion I’m gonna be 100 about that when he signed the contract there’s two reasons number one you know did he get his asking price I don’t think he got his asking price and is a big reason why he was retaining the DC um if he would have got anywhere close to $30 million I don’t think he’s in Wizards Jersey and let’s be totally honest about that if he would have got closer to $30 million a year Kyle kman would not be wearing a Wizards Jersey now he was signed to a very team fly contract and there’s two reasons for that one for him to not bog down the Sally crap issue for the Wizards we know he’s a leader we know what he can do as far as a player and so his contract was meant not to bog us down two his team was not only Team friendly for the Wizards and be able to add other the pieces around them or but it was Team friendly for prospective teams who want to trade for him it was a contract that it fits the knees both of the Washington Wizards and of other teams who want to wanted to acquire his services so you know people saying that the contract was here for him to be longterm no no no no the contract was Team friendly for the reason those two reasons alone which is if he’s going to be here it he’s not gonna bog us down salary cat wise now if you look at other contracts we have obviously you know Jordan P um he’s got he makes more money in kle but you know but obviously you know not only looking at how it helps out the Wizards it helps out other teams that if teams would to go acquired Kyle kman they don’t have to bring the bank to do so which you know really puts us in the best position to get asss back now what is that one issue I have as far as the front office man and I like I said big fan of will dogs man you know like I said I I will be seeing him tomorrow you know all love man but I’m definitely going to be you know asking him a little bit about the draft and about the Kyle kma situation but asking Kyle kma what he thought and whether he wanted to be dealt at the deadline I don’t understand that move you know nothing is Kyle kman but let’s be 100% here how many times has he been to an allar game I mean has he been a number one option on the championship team I mean he these are reasons why you need to talk to somebody and ask them if they want to be moved or not you ask LeBron James if he wants to be traded or not you you ask coob Bryan whether he want betrayed it or not you ask Shaquil nil whether he want betrayed or not you asked Anthony Edwards whether he want betrayed it or not I mean you could we we had to D Bradley Bill when we traded not because we gave him that crazy out of this world supermax contract so is he the class of got player that you ask him whether you want to be dealt or not no you make that move and honestly in my opinion last year at the deadline was the best chance for the Washington Wizards to get two first round picks for Kyle kman now if you you know we went over a couple videos go about picks in the lottery where we could trade back into the lottery and scenarios where we very well could probably get to first- round picks for Co a couple areas Detroit Pistons they’re one they’re one franchise where I’m G look at EV for’s contract but I believe he you know he is a guy that I know they are definitely trying to get him off the books man so you very well could get a a first round pick this year’s draft and one for next year just for taking a bad contract uh Evan 40 years’s contract so uh sport track has him let’s take a look at it real quick uh if it would hurry up uh let’s see he is this yep he is a club option so we’ll see if they enact that so it’s not necessarily a bad contract but I mean he’s making $19 million a year and it’s a club option so you know if they don’t want this contract in the books they very well could just let him walk so uh we’re going to ahead and reenact that bad contract but uh I definitely think that she they could take on a bad contract and get enough I think that’s the best scenario and if you look at the deadline again when you had a deal in place with the Dallas Mavericks the Dallas Mavericks how how are we going to attain those two first round picks but taking on a bad contract that is the most realistic way you’re getting two first round picks for K like I said you know for for like the two% of y’all that just think you can’t criticize nobody I like kyuma but let’s be real this is a rebuild and while we don’t necessarily need to move KY because we don’t there’s not a necessity right now he very well could s on this roster for one maybe years but here’s the thing you have to move him to get maximum value and you got to ask yourself a question will his and let me go ahead and say this before smik gets all upset is that I’m not saying his value is going down I’m saying it’s not gonna get much higher there’s a big difference so his value ain’t getting much higher I’m not saying it’s getting lower it’s go pump the brakes but it’s not getting much higher so you eventually have to move on I mean if you want to get if you want to move him at max value which right now I believe that right now is the time so like I said I’m not saying that we necessarily need to get rid of K Kyle kma Lord um but here’s let’s be 100 about this eventually you have to move on because eventually has to be a youth movement I mean obviously his age is not fit Is Not Gon to fit the timeline as far as the rebuild and when we finally get to the point where we contending he’s not gonna be on the team so you have to get value everybody’s screaming about value for tus Jones you know we have to get we have to get some value for Kyle K because you very well cannot see us get anything in return for T Jones and yeah we could POS probably maybe do a sign and trade but you’re not going to get you very well I’m being honest with y’all you very well could see him walk now there’s reports that he could resign that’s a whole another conversation obviously there’s a lot of dominoes need to fall a lot of moves need to be made as far as roster construction to really get a clear picture of what they’re trying to do at the point guard whether it’s tus Jones whether it’s Jordan P whether it’s somebody in the draft or whatnot but here’s the thing you know the best case scenario of getting two first round picks is taking on a bad contract you know with with Dallas it was Grant WI you’re not going to get outright look you’re outright and you’re not going to get two first round picks outright and if you do they’re not going to be lottery picks so so I mean and I get it right now getting all the assets we can is the biggest biggest emmo and I agree with that you know definitely if we’re going after the OKC model which is accumulate draft picks and accumulate young talent but you know that this this is my rant for the day because eventually this is turning into the Bradley Bill situation you know move him or don’t you have to move him at some point look two first round picks look and and this is just really is frustrating to be honest with y’all man like I said this is definitely a rant it’s frustrating because I do like Kyle kusman but can we be honest I mean can we be 100 per he’s not a player you build around he’s not a play your build around and then you can like him all you want to your blue in the face the fact of the matter is this he’s not a piece that you’re gonna build around so while you don’t need to move him eventually you need to move him if you want to get max value for his services and so that that’s where I’m at I think they need to make a decision they need to make a decision whether you know if you want him here long term fair enough he needs to change certain things about his play style to where makes other people better and then I’m cool with it I like kozz man you know kozz I I’ve enjoyed him being in the Wizards uniform I’m saying we necessarily have to go out here and move him but here’s the thing you know in order for us to retain him and for him to be part of this team going forward which look again his age look at his age he doesn’t fit the long-term pitcher now a lot of people going to say we’re rebuilding fair enough we need leadership fair enough go resign Anthony Gil I mean if you want to get max value you know so that’s my thing everybody that’s my rant is that this situation turned into Bradley build 2.0 man and it’s like you know we’re you know the asket price is way too high in my opinion I’m to me realistically you’re looking at a first- round pick and Pie young player let’s be real because if you want to if you want to get that second first round pick you’re going to have to take on a bad contract you’re going to have to take on a bad contract because because you make that type of move for God you know that’s going to sing you over the top and they very well could do that you know Detroit is a scenario where I could see that happen um you know there could be a couple guys on that team where they’re deem bad contracts and and exchange for a first- round pick we take on that contract and with us being in a rebuilding team that’s not a bad situation you you definitely want to take on a bad contract to get more draft assets but like I said there’s no need to move him we’re in to rebuild but let’s be honest with ourselves here man like what what do we what is the long-term pitcher here like what is what what he doing I mean you have to have a goal in mind what the long-term pitcher as far as his place with within the organization because you know yeah we’re in the rebuild we don’t need to move him but this whole you know I’m going assault him at the deadline whether he wants to be traded or not come on man you know the front office is Personnel do that you know what I mean and and that’s why I’m saying I’m a big fan of his front office man like I said I’ve enjoyed my talks with Michael Winger um will dogin is going is a really good GM and he’s going to he’s going to develop into a really great GM in my opinion um so the front office man is nothing against the front office man like you said but it is really striking a scenario whereas poopa get off the pot like you need to make a decision on Kyle kman you know because if we wait it’s is it’s turning more and more into a Bradley Bild situation man where you’re you’re waiting too long to move on you know you have to move on from him like what is the expectation here because again while Kyle kman has been you know a really good player here in DC we’re also a 15 win win team I mean let’s be real about that he is the best player on the 15 win team he’s not a player that we build around so that takes out the whole long-term picture and we have to get max value and if you’re thinking that we’re gonna get two lottery picks for this kid it’s not happening man it’s not happening and you know so we have to be realistic about what we’re trying to do you know I mean if we’re going to a rebuild I get leadership I get all that man you have leaders on the team Martin B the third’s been around for a minute I mean Jordan P again we talk about Championship DNA he has got that you know Denny has emerged trying to be a leader I mean Anthony Gil I mean there’s you know there’s other ways to attain leadership on the bench man I mean you have to move them so that’s where I’m at that’s my rant for the day um like I said big fan of the front office there no shade on them uh big fan of Kyle kma I’ve enjoyed him here in DC but we got to figure out what we’re trying to do you know we got to be realistic with the asking price here man like we’re doing this all over again I mean you it’s I you have to poop or get off the pot and we’ve got a figure out what what is the op what are we trying to do with K what is the long-term fit and what is the long-term Vision with him within the organization I mean we got to be honest here you know because look Denny’s AEM merging man you know he’s emerging you know bow Cory kisper this is it has to be a youth movement to a certain degree man so I’m going ahead and end my my rant right there man because like I said I’m a fan of both the front office and K man but I think that we need to figure out what we’re trying to do with K because it it is it does kind of get a little Annoying after a while because it’s like we’re still asking two first round picks for this guy man like get get some draft assets getting young player in return and let’s get this thing roll let’s get this thing wrong man and so that’s kind of where I’m at comment below let me know what you thinking man I get it like 90% of y’all gonna you’re gonna see where I’m coming from and there’s gonna be that that one person out of left field is gonna be like oh man trying to trade everybody on the team Brandon oh so look that’s where I’m at comment below let me know what you guys are thinking man because you know like I said I’ve enjoyed him here in DC man but it gets to a point man where you’re you’re going have to move him and you’re gonna have to move him to get max value so uh we’re gonna get into is Denny Avia and Corey kissper Untouchable Commodities or if the deal is good could they still be tradable so we’re going to talk about that next but before we do tonight’s episode is brought to you by FanDuel so it’s winner take all in the app part of the lock on podcast Network your team every single day all right everybody we’re going to get back into it and like I said I’m going to put a poll out and I want to know what you guys are thinking man are you guys with me um are you thinking along the lines I am I you know like I said I’m big on dialogue man so I want to know what you guys think so after the video I’m gonna put out a poll um I’m actually gonna put a couple of polls out man one is g to be do you think the Tristan vich could be the starting center next year and two um is this the year that we trade Kyle kman so is Denny AIA and Cory kisper Untouchable um we’re gonna get into that and looking at a report this is also through Brett seagull so definitely shout out to Brett seagull good content uh NBA Insider and it says uh quote unquote rival teams that inquired about Denny AA and Cory kissper ahead of the trade deadline were turned down fairly quickly as the Wizards do not hold much interest in dealing either player at this juncture so does that mean that they are un touchable and I’m gonna say no I’mma think that you know I’m G say this man you’re looking at you know a possible Josh giddy try you know obviously uh Josh giddy with his connection to Will Dawkins from the OKC years man um you know with him kind of on his way out OKC being a young player that who py require a first round pick to move him which again would be another way to get another first round pick but are they Untouchable I’m G say no you know teams are teams want Denny you know Denny has shown that he’s finally broken out offensively then and this is the year where he wants to solidify himself as that three and D guy you know he’s broken out now it’s about consistency and I think he very well could do I think this is you know if if last year was a breakout campaign this is his welcoming party man because he’s about to let he’s about to put the league on notice my opinion because I think that he’s a really good young Talent um bow you’re gonna see definitely a step in the right direction his development and Corey kissper man you know obviously we know we can do offensively I think you’re going to see some progress on the defensive end but are they Untouchable no I think that you know Cory K look at you know this is uh his contract year so he’ll be a restricted free agent at the end of U this next season coming up um so you very well and I think that they definitely should explore signing him to an extension in my opinion because you definitely need the guy who again can be that sniper who that guy who who is shown you know High basketball IQ a guy who slashes to the basket driving to the basket you know moving out the ball and you know his ball handing has gotten better his defense while he’s not a lock down Defender he has shown a lot more promise on the defensive end man so you’ve seen a lot of progress not only from the offensive end where we already know he was very polished but kissper has shown a lot more effort and energy on the defensive end but already they Untouchable no if the deal is really really good you make that move but me personally I see both Den AIA and Cory kissper both as part of the young Court going forward and I think that you know you got to retain both of them both Denny and kissper along with bow and to a certain degree I know some of you disagree but Jordan P I think that they are they form the young Court in DC that that is that is the foundation you built upon you know what I’m saying and like I said you know talking about kle CR I like C man and like I said you don’t need to move cou but the biggest thing is to me and I’m doing the end of here is getting max value right you have to get max value out of that person because you’re just going to turn into Bradley Bill 2.0 where you just you have to move them and it’s just like you have no other choice you know so I think the Wizards you know they they’re in a really good position because one you know they have a young Cory here and Denny Cory kiss bow Jordan P list goes on Patrick B Jr I definitely will see what we have in him Jared Butler the list goes on um and then the fact that we have two first round picks in this draft coming up and the 51st pick in the second round we have the ability to add more young Talent so we’re in a good position you know we we have a lot of leeway with the moves we can make we’re not bogged down by bad contracts you know some people do call the Jordan pool contract a bad contract and maybe to a certain degree it is right now I don’t but I think the long-term Outlook with Jordan p is he’s going to be part of his ation going forward because his front office in his organization does like Jordan p and I I myself I think he’s a very good young player where he’s he’s on the cuts with being great in my opinion it’s G to take further development and we definitely have the atmosphere for him to succeed so um are they Untouchable no I definitely think teams are going to continue to call for Denny and kissper and if you find that one right deal you very well could see them moved but I think that they’re going to be very hesitant and I’ll be very hesitant too because again Denny AIA Cory kisser B kabali and Jordan P amongst other players formed a really nice young core and a foundation to build upon as we take the first step towards contention down the road in this rebuild so um Untouchable no but I do not see them being moved man I think that his front office is gonna in my humble in my humble opinion yo um should definitely start working on contract a rookie extension with Cory kper in my opinion and den a my you in my opinion I want to see a lot more responsibility this year as far as him stepping up and be more a leader you know being you know him having more of a place in his offense you know I definitely want to see him you know featured as the secondary ball handler I definitely want to see a lot more responsibility in offense in my opinion uh for the Washington Wizards man so like I said um that’s kind of where I’m at everybody so definitely comment below let me know what you thinking man um but so we’re going to talk about my final thoughts on what we talked about today and kind of looking forward this week but before we do tonight’s episode is brought you by better help so you know I’ve been a big callus you guys you know you we’ve done this many times you guys know about my past uh being in the military um growing up a little bit you you know there was a time that you’ll talking to a counselor talking to a therapist was taboo you know people look at you funny and ask you what’s going on but now that’s not the case anymore man because you know therapy is becoming more of a not only a norm in American society but you know a necessity because we all need somebody to talk to man you know like myself again I’m an Iraq war veteran I’ve dealt with my fair share of issues man and I can’t recommend enough how much it helps to talk to somebody right so if you’re thinking about starting therapy give better help a try please it’s t online designed to be convenient flexible and suited to your schedule just fill out a brief questionnaire to get match with a licensed therapist and switch therapist anytime for no additional charge so get it off your chest everybody with better help I definitely recommend it so all you have to do is visit betterhelp.com loock onba today you get 10% off your first month that’s betterhelp hp.com lockon NBA and for my vets out there Hotel Eola papa.com locked on NBA all right everybody um to kind of give you my final synopsis man of what we talked about today um like I said you know looking at the Kyle kman situation you know you don’t need a moving and I’ve enjoyed him here in DC you know and and I really hate the fact that I have to continue to you know reassert that I like him and look I’m a basketball analyst man you know I’m All In All We were supposed to be and we should be unbiased now we all have players we like and I would never be to the point where you know look I like him I like him as a player I I’ve always liked cusman man but I didn’t like him in the LA Lakers years I’m gonna be honest with you man but since he’s come to DC and really seeing who he is not only own the court and off the court I like him but here’s the thing man this is a business this is a business you know people get traded people get released you know this is a business the the NBA is a business at the end of the day just like the NFL Major League Baseball and the National Hockey League and the NCAA um so a business you know I get it you know so you know you got to be realistic at what we’re trying to do here in DC man and I think that we have everything in place you know Brian ke’s Head Coach love it go you know I think definitely think that was a good move in his organization the big three in the front office with Travis schlank Will Dawkins and Michael Winger big fan of them man and I want to continue to see them change his Organization for the for the best man they’re they’re knocking everything out out of the park in my opinion as far as Milestones you know creating the culture creating the atmosphere where people want to get better when people want to play with each other but here’s the thing man we also need to you know create an atmosphere where you know we got to be realistic here like if we want to go forward we’ve got to go forward and so to a certain degree you know we have to move Kyle kma where his value is at his Peak and that is right now and that is being 100% now we can wait a year and we very welome wait a year because again we don’t need to make him or we don’t need to make him available to other teams but here’s the thing with value at what point has it reached a zenth so that’s where I’m at everybody comment below let me know what you think that’s my rant because I like him as a player I love him here in DC and you know I you know I’ve been you know I’ve celebrated every Milestone as far as K you know you know setting his roots in the community man much love on my part you know so like I said I’ve enjoyed seeing what he’s done not only for the DC Community but for the the community of Flint Michigan because let’s be real both communities need help man they need help um so I’m not goingon to get all political about it but um so that’s where I’m at as far as Kyle kman now looking at Denny and kissper man yeah again they’re not Untouchable but I the definitely part of the found young Foundation going forward man so I think you definitely retain them and keep them here in DC man in my opinion so um definitely comment below like you said I’m GNA put a couple polls out as soon as I end this video I to see what you guys are thinking not only um about trist vich whether he should be a starter next year but also um about Kyle kman and has his value reaches Zenith in in your opinion so definitely comment below let me know what you guys are thinking now uh tomorrow night we will be doing a live reaction to Brian Keith’s um intro press conference I will be there at noon in DC um to celebrate Brian Keefe being named the new head coach of the Wasing Wizards and I believe general manager will dogin will be there so I will try to get some questions in but I also will be getting all the reactions and feedback from their questions and answers so we definitely will react to the press conference and the in questions thrown at not only the new head coach Brian ke but general manager Will Dawkins so definitely tune in for that so um looking forward guys um this week we’re going to look at some more draft prospects Man U looking at Isaiah klier bug Carrington’s a few of them so definitely we’re getting close to the draft so I’m starting on Mondays we’re gonna do mock draft Monday so we’re gonna um try to do a mock draft every Monday and see how things are shaking in the NBA um because things are subject to change man who’s number one right now who’s mock drafted to be number one now get very well change in 30 days I’m just trying to tell you so again the draft is getting here it is later this month so definitely rock with me and as you guys know man we’re going to go live on a draft night man so and because actually the NBA draft is two days now so we’re gon definitely gonna go live on consecutive night so um that is the the criteria or not criteria but the inary for this week U definitely tune in tomorrow night that we’re gonna go live for the reaction to Brian Keef’s or head coach Brian Keef’s press conference and we’re going to get into more pro draft prospects looking at Isaiah ker from univers University of Southern Cals so again appreciate you guys as always man um definitely comment below let me know what you guys think man was I am I right the rant or am I am I tripping y’all definitely let me know man so again much love for you guys I will see you guys tomorrow night hell to the Wizards and peace see you guys next time

  1. Kuzma is not worth what some seem to think he is worth. He's not going to be a 20 PPG scorer on a good team as the third option.

  2. Kuz is awesome but you have to take the best deal for him. He is on a friendly deal but is he a long term piece? No. Take a bad contract or two and a first round pick and move on.

  3. In all honesty kuz could be better than he was it's entirely possible he could get better next year but I think we will most likely get Risacher at #2 and I'd rather have him start simply because he's our second pick.

  4. I saw a trade idea I like from Utility Sports. I tinkered with it & came away with this;
Wizards receive Malaki Branham, Julian Champagne, 2024 #4 pick, & 2025 1st Rd pick (Chi).
Spurs receive 2024 #2 pick, & Landry Shamet.
Wizards draft Donovan Clingan @ #4, while getting an additional 1st Rd pick in a very good 2025 draft.
(This part is just for giggles) – Wizards have the Champagnie twins & offer free orange juice to fans & have Mimosa Night!!

  5. The Wiz should trade Kispert before his next contract. Wings who don't play defense aren't worth that much

Deni isn't untradeable but I doubt the Wiz would give him up for anything other than a major haul

  6. I know people aren’t gonna like it, but this front office gotta start looking at Kuzma trades that aren’t as glamorous. For example a Harrison Barnes + Davion Mitchell + 13th Pick for Kuzma trade.

  7. I agree with you. Kyle does need to be moved for the sake of developing the younger players. He did take away touches from others.

In Brian Keefe's first post game press conference the first thing he said was the team needed to pass the ball more.
When they moved Poole to the bench Keefe said one of the reasons he moved him was to get the ball in his hands because he could see that Kuz and Deni were absorbing a lot of the offense so this was way to get the ball in his hands.

I believe they ended up talking to him about his ball hogging because when you asked him at his exit interview what he was going to do differently next season. He said to get others involved. That going out and scoring 30 points without was not necessarily a good thing of he was the only one shooting.
I think they will trade him and of they keep him, they will make sure he's not a hinderence to the development of the others.

  8. No, it’s not too steep. Kuzma is only 28 with a descending contract. 22,7,4 player. Who’s a good guy in the locker room. Wiz need to stand firm on that.

  9. Finally you have some competent management, You are so used to getting fleeced that you don't know savvy moves when you see them. These are the same guy's who help rebuild OKC, if they think they can get two they must know something.

  10. If you move Deni and Corey, y’all are the dumbest franchise in the NBA.
They are worth 50 points a game together with great efficiency.
And Deni is a machine on defense.

  11. Kuzma works hard, is a good guy on and off the court, and has a team friendly deal… Is very productive and probably will be even better next year. Damn right you ask for two number one picks… Overpay, or he stays…win win… wizards don't own other teams a damn thing. Trade scenarios online and cable shows always have the wizards giving it up smooth. Those days are over

  12. Big difference between Beal and Kuzma. Beals deal crippled the team. Kuzma has a deal that helps the cap. They can't have all young players. They need a vet who can show them the way, a champion as well. I'm not saying don't trade him, but get two #1picks, with one a lottery pick…

  13. We are likely to draft Risacher. That being the case, they know Kuzma will have to be moved. The front office simply aren’t showing their hand nor should they🤷🏾‍♂️.

I do see your perspective. I just believe you misread them not showing their hand.

  14. I think Vuc should start but at the 4 cause I don't think he can guard or rebound against bigger 5's. Best case scenario the hawks draft Risacher and we get Sarr so a starting lineup of Poole Bilal Deni Vuc Sarr (given we trade Kuz)

  15. First question: If the Wiz has to take back an albatross contract and/or a team trying to avoid the tax, they should ask for 2. Second question, if Kuzma is worth two first rounders, Deni and his contract are worth 3. If someone gives a good deal for Kispert, then trade him. .

  16. Deni is TOO good to stay in the sense that we need to think 3 years of rebuild and Deni is the only piece that teams who want to win will pay nicely for.

JP and Kuz make bad decisions and don't D, we won't get fair value for them. Kispert needs D to be a good trade piece but is tradable.

  17. I'd like to think that Kuzma has NOT reached his zenith! Give me one more year of Kuz in a Wiz uniform, but be prepared to trade him to a contender mid-season. That's when we'll get best value for him, I hope!

  18. Brandon, I do share your thoughts that maybe an asking price of two draft choices for Kuz might be stretching it, and that a high lottery pick should be sufficient. I guess we'll all be wiser as to the Wizards true intentions by, and during , the actual draft.

  19. I think we should make trade with Spur.
They have picks, nice quality picks than other teams.

If Kuz could be two 1rd picks for trade,
    then Deni should be three.

If we e ask for no.8 pick + future two 1rd picks + Keldon,
I think Spur will say YES.

  20. We've continued to just give away our players. Doesnt matter who we draft. Whats the point?!

  21. I think that we need to change our perspective. We want to see a new culture in this team. I like that Dawkins keep his word about Kuzma, and ask him before trades, but that's just one part in a good culture. The worst thing in this season was the lack of defence commitment. I want to see players give 200% in this area. Kuzma cut corners in this field. He can be a great defender (he definitely has the talent), so it's up to him. Bilal, Deni and Kuz can play together as 2-4, with a really strong versatile defence If Sarr is drafted, he can complete this lineup as 5. I don't expect players like Poole to be a good defenders, but they shouldn't cut corners and play without commitment (Kispert isn't a good defender, but he gives it all), and i want to see a better discipline (players with no commitment will be on the bench). Kuz can fit to be a defence leader (with Deni), so it's up to him.
Another area that people aren't talking about his the coaching stuff. Rebuilding team with a new culture need a good coach, and a good coach must have good assistances. After they fired the previous stuff, i would like to hear about their future plans from Dawkins. According to reliable journalist in Europe, the Wizards are trying to acquire Paris coach, Tuomas Iisalo, as a senior assistant coach, and i really like this thinking out of the box. Iisalo is one of the uprising coaches in Europe and he has done an amazing job in the last 3 years.

  22. If Kispert can grow on the defensive end next year, like he did on the offensive end this year, I’d keep him.
My one issue with Corey is his really low rebound totals. He has size, jumps well and his basketball awareness with the ball in his hands this year was really apparent.
He needs to expand that awareness to the defensive and rebounding side of the game.
