  1. >Adem Bona is an incredibly fast and explosive open court athlete with quick twitch athleticism. He changes ends in a flash, has great upside as a defender and transition player and makes incredibly quick cuts to the basket.

    >His main NBA calling card will be his versatile defense. He’s very good at guarding smaller players and can switch all over the court. He’s a very good rim protector and defensive rebounder.

    >His NBA game might be a bit limited due to his lack of an outside shot but he’s got a clear path to being a rotation big who brings value with his defensive versatility, athleticism and effort.

When I watch him, he reminds me of IJax with a softer touch. He doesn’t do a lot of his scoring from the outside, but his jumper mechanics don’t look bad at all to me.

Tankathon has him in the 50-55 range. I think he would fit Rick’s playstyle so well, especially if he pans out to be less foul prone than ijax.

BONUS: [Bullying Chet Holmgren at the U-19 World Cup.](https://youtu.be/P1yRL6dhmXg?si=Ky6CKI8Sh75mvcZh&t=21) It’s one highlight but still, he would be worth the shot for a 2nd round pick.

  2. I wouldn’t mind picking up Bona at 49/50 if we’re able to get him on a 2-way. We will have a gap in our big-man depth with Stix likely leaving…and Oscar is a long-shot to become even a serviceable NBA big down the line. Get him with the Mad Ants (or whatever they are changing the name to) for regular playing time and then see what you’ve got.

We’ll certainly need to look at other big man options (don’t love the depth in the draft) for immediate help, but Bona could be a fine developmental/depth piece for the future.

I keep watching tape on the big guys projected in the second round. Enrique Freeman is sort of intriguing. Rebound machine, can shoot three and he is 23 years old.

Would be a great eventual replacement for IJax.
