the Knicks extended their crazy NBA Finals streak for the 78th year in a row if you don’t know about this weird bit of basketball history let me tell you every NBA Finals since 1947 has featured a player who at some point in their career was on the New York Knicks seriously it’s a whole thing continuing the insane tradition this season from the Celtics is from staps porzingis a lottery pick by the Knicks in 2015 plus Luke cornette and on the Mavericks you have Tim Hardway Jr another first run pick by New York in 2013 so even though the Knicks as a team have had only eight finals appearances in two championship ship they somehow have kept the streak alive and had a presence at the finals for decades just not in the way fans would hope for
