Miami Heat 2nd Round NBA Draft Targets Ft. Jamal Shead, Ryan Dunn & Nikola Djurisic

Miami Heat 2nd Round NBA Draft Targets Ft. Jamal Shead, Ryan Dunn & Nikola Djurisic

[Music] the Miami have the 43rd pick in the NBA draft they also have the 15th but we’re going to specifically look at second round draft targets for the Miami Heat it’s the first time since 2019 that the Heat have had a second round pick at least they’re slated to make we’ll see if they actually do end up making that pick as there is so many trades you could buy picks sell picks there’s so much that actually goes on but I’ve got eight players I want to touch on that the heat could Target with the 43rd overall pick but first there’s a lot of people out there that don’t know ball and need some knowledge freshened up when it comes to the NBA Draft so if you have someone that you know friend family member or just anyone you want to troll that they need to learn ball learn some draft targets for the Miami Heat share them this video so they can learn ball like you all right the first draft Target that we’re going to talk about today is the guard from Houston Jamal shed and if there was one person in the entire NBA draft that you can classify as a Miami Heat type of guy Jamal shed would be that this dude is heat culture personified he was the leader for the Houston Cougars over the last four seasons I believe he’s actually the most winning player in Houston Cougars program history as well he just does so much for that program Kelvin Samson said he’s one of his favorite players that he’s ever coached he could score he can dish The Rock and more importantly he can absolutely defend he is also one of the most stocky guards that I’ve ever scouted and seen he’s only 6 foot and a quarter without shoes that’s what he came in at the combine but he weighs in at 20.8 lb and there is no fat on that body that is all muscle good wingspan as well 63 so it’s a little bit of a plus and he’s also got bunnies 372 in vertical I’ve mentioned the heat culture stuff that’s something that the heat Pride themselves on when they look to scout players they look for character and they look for size character check that off for Jamal shed Pat Riley will love this guy he will do absolutely anything in his power to win you a basketball game whether it be the initiator whether it be getting downhill and scoring inside whether it be just taking on the best opposing player on the perimeter and blocking him down in the perimeter he can do it Jamal shed would be a perfect second round Target for the Miami Heat predict it for me though we mentioned it there is so much volatility when it comes to the second round of the NBA draft I believe there’s like only two teams in the entire second round that have their own pick this year will the Heat make a pick at 43 if you believe they will type y for yes if you believe they won’t type n for no someone that we have talked about on the channel before Harrison Ingram the Ford from North Carolina I like this possibility for Miami he is very similar to me as a Caleb martines player he’s got solid size to play the three he played the four for North Carolina a year ago um but he’s got the stockiness in wingspan to be able to do so I mean he’s got a really good wingspan plus five 7 feet after only being 6′ five good weight to him as well he can score at all three levels and something that impressed me as well when he was at North Carolina a year ago is his ability to go into the post back down people and use his footwork to get open looks he actually showcased that at the NBA Combine as well there was a sequence in scrimmage play when he took bronnie James into the post Ingram is much taller than bronnie but he still took the smaller Defender and went to work he is an instant impact to winning culture and winning basketball he transferred from Stanford to North Carolina and I would argue he was the second best player on that heel team a year ago behind RJ Davis Ingram passed arond Bott passed cork mcryan he was really good for Hubert Davis just a year ago and he could impact winning for the heat if they pick pick him in the second round I don’t know if you’ve noticed this from the first two players by the way but there is a common theme I’m going with here it’s players that are experienced got good size to them and have good I guess productivity in terms of winning basketball because is when you look at second round players there’s some guys you can go out in the limb and say we’ll take potential here but the best way I would use that 43rd pick if I’m the heat is finding someone that you could plug in the eighth ninth 10th man in this heat rotation during the regular season and have him be someone that could help this rotation from year one make sure you are subscribed to the channel as well because we have the best Miami Heat draft content on YouTube we are pushing closer and closer to 12,000 subscribers so hit that sub button and we’re also live for every NBA Finals game here on the channel rooting against the Boston Celtics so join us for that as well all right here’s like the one upside pick that I would make if he was there at 43 Nola durich the forward from Serbia he actually played on the same team that Nia yovic played on when he was playing overseas and the interesting thing with durich is that he could go absolutely anywhere I would not be shocked if he went just a couple picks after after the heat selected in the first round at 15 like if he went 17 or 18 I wouldn’t be surprised if he was still on the board at 43 I would not be shocked there is a massive range at where he can go because there just really isn’t a lot on this kid but one thing I can say is I like the size he has on him he’s a two or three I think in the NBA 67 with a 68 wingspan so that will absolutely play decent vertical as well but the reason why I’m such a big fan of dur it is his ability to just score the basketball average 14 or excuse me 15 points for Mega basket a year ago was okay in terms of efficiency but when you watch the film and watch the way he moves around the basketball court he is just smooth in all aspects of the game man durich has a really good crossover into a pull-up jumper he hesitates well float dribbles what I call it where he can take a nice little dribble float into either a crossover between the legs quick Blow by you and get to the rim also just a natural feel to the game that it seems like a lot of these Serbian players have where they could just natural Playmakers durich has it all unclear if he’s going to be able to be a defender in the NBA like that’s always a question with durich but I like the offensive flow and I believe the Heat’s developmental staff would be able to get him right make sure you also get started with the best daily fantasy sports up on the market and that is prize picks you get a first deposit match up to $100 when you use code clns when at prize.com CNS if you miss game one of the NBA Finals that’s cool cuz game two is upcoming this Sunday but hey if basketball’s not your thing that’s cool cuz they have League of Legends Call of Duty you can go to the NFL already for season long projections MLB NHL is still going on whatever your cup of tea is they have it for you and I’m looking specifically at some NFL season long projections right now and I got more then on two a tug OFA 272 passing touchdowns and if he does that well Tyreek Hill is probably also going to go more than 9 and a half so I’ll take that two-player entry here but during the month of June right now you can win up to $1,000 with prize picks 10 into a th000 Yes you heard that correctly all you got to do is pick more than or less than two or six player stat projections and you can watch the winnings roll in download the app today and use code clns for a first deposit match up to 100 or go into description and comments click on that link prize.com clns pick more pick less prize picks that simple Terren Shannon Jr we talked about him a couple videos ago as well as a heat second round Target cuz Kevin oconor mocked him there in his most recent mock draft someone who can play the two he can play the three he can even play the one if absolutely necessary he’s got fantastic size to him at 65 and three quarters 68 and 3/4 wingspan stocky 219 lbs but the reason why he is so intriguing to me is the ability that he has to score the basketball at all three levels average 23 points per game for the fighting alii just a season ago and was top five in the entire country in free throw attempts he got downhill whenever he wanted to and he put pressure on opponents to either follow him or try to stop him and I tell you what there was wasn’t much of the ladder Shannon Jr finishes around the rim at an exceptional rate and was able to get to the line about seven or eight times a game as well he is someone that I would be all in on drafting if his legal matter is all set heading into the NBA draft we’ll see about Teran Shannon Jr Ryan Dunn is one of the last people I want to highlight here he is someone that I’ve been a fan of but he is just falling down draft boards I had him originally as a top 20 guy he was my 20th ranked Prospect I’m kind of dropping him down close to 30 range early second round even it’s just the inability for him to give you anything on the offensive end that is really scary but defensively and physically he is as gifted as it comes plus five wingspan here 66 and a quarter for height 71 and a half wingspan good vertical as well he is a special Defender we didn’t do much comps in this video cuz I wanted to go by these guys pretty quickly but he is as close as to a Jared Vanderbilt type player as you can find not going to give you anything on offense but will give you everything on defense can guard one through four and I’m telling you if there’s a center out there that’s not a physically imposing Center like a Damon sabonis I would trust dun to get out there and defend him for a couple possessions a game he average 2.3 blocks for the Cavaliers a year ago and ALS also had 1.3 steals he worked under Tony Bennett in that Cavalier Le defense he is an unbelievably good Defender the issue is I don’t know if the offense will ever come so at his absolute ceiling could be Jared Vanderbilt I’d take that at 43 I don’t think he’ll be there but I did want to mention him as he is falling down a lot of people’s boards we talked about five draft targets at 43 for Miami I still have three more to give you here but name a second round draft Target that you want for the Miami Heat it could be absolutely anyone drop a name down below all right the last three I want to highlight before we head out of here on today’s video Jaylen Bridges Zion Poland and Quinton post Zion Poland’s an intriguing name because if you missed it I tweeted it on Wednesday afternoon the heer actually bringing in Zion Poland for a workout so that’s why you follow me on Twitter by the way so he is someone that the heat clearly want to get to know more about but Jaylen Bridges an intriguing name a Ford four fiveyear guy at College started his career at West Virginia then went to Baylor really good size excellent three-point shooter he’s someone that could intrigue me as a Caleb Martin type replacement but the main person I want to talk about from the list this list excuse me is Quinton post the center from Boston College he’s got excellent size to him 7 ft tall 72 1/2 wingspan 244 lbs with a standing reach of 94 four this is a big fella but the reason why you as Heat fan should want this guy potentially at 43 is what he can bring to the heat offensively average 17 points for the Eagles a year ago but look at that number at the bottom of your screen folks 43.1% from Beyond The Arc he can flat out shoot the pill as a seven-footer and that’s not on just like one attempted game like kle wear who we talked about last weekend no post shot at 3.3 three times a game at Boston College he is one of the best floor spacing centers in this draft class kind of rising up boards right now I’m not going to lie it making me scared even bringing it up on the show cuz I don’t want to create more Buzz around the young man but 43 could be a landing spot for post if Miami goes guard or Wing in the first round that will do it for today’s show like I mentioned if you want more on the NBA draft follow me at Twitter Nick rolloff you would have known about my Affinity my liking for Quinton post on Wednesday so make sure you follow me to be the most informed Heat fan on the planet @ Nicks the handle I’ll see you tomorrow with another video go Heat [Music]
