Knicks Secret Weapon READY To Join Team Next Season… | Knicks News

it might finally be time for the Nick secret weapon to finally make his appearance and join the Knicks according to multiple reports the Knicks draft and stash pick in 2021 rokus yokitis could soon be making an appearance in summer league with the hopes to join the Knicks next season we’re going to break down these latest reports and so much more today if you’re not already subscribed to the channel go ahead and hit that subscribe button now and make sure you have notifications turned on so you don’t miss a second of the new content and now let’s get started Nick’s draft and stash pick Ras yokitis is strongly considering joining the Knicks next season as we heard from sny’s Ian Bagley a couple of days ago he reported that the Knicks are looking to add talent and fill the voids on their roster and they’re looking to do it in multiple ways they’re looking to do it via the draft via trade and now according to these reports by looking at some draft and stash picks that they have in the past and obviously if you’re looking that way then you’re looking at Rus yokitis let’s break down these latest reports on what the Knicks are going to do with their secret weapon shout out to the Strickland and Steph Bondi for giving us the following updates according to them Rus yoka tius will not join the Knicks for the NBA Summer League if Lithuania qualifies for the Paris Olympics if Lithuania fails to qualify yoka bis’s agent says his client will strongly consider joining the Nicks in Vegas Steph Bondi continues in the report and gives us some more information on why yabas didn’t join the Knicks last year and potentially why he will join the Knicks this year given the number of guards we had to start the season last year I don’t blame Rus and his agent for basically skipping summer league because there was never going to be an opportunity for him to play on the roster but according to his agent for this year with Ras yabas he will strongly consider the summer league and the availability will all be again on if Lithuania qualifies for the Olympics or not if they don’t he will strongly consider taking part in the NBA Summer League for the Knicks now I know it’s been a while and some of you watching this video right now are probably saying uh who is rabius and when did we draft him don’t worry I’ll give you some information on rabius when we drafted him and also his skill set but if you like to do something else you can go to the channel and you can search up Rus yabas because a couple of months ago I did a video on him that explains where he’s been and what he’s been doing so definitely check out that video as well too but here’s some information on rabidas and who he is shout out to Sports Illustrated for giving us the following information according to them rokus yokitis was the Knicks 2021 second round pick 34 overall the still 23-year-old point guard has played with Barcelona which is in the Euro league for the past few seasons he signed the four-year deal with his current Club in 2021 but there is an opt out for 20 24 meaning he is eligible to join the Knicks for the 2024 2025 Season Sports Illustrated continues and states he was described as creative and unafraid of the Moment by Draft Express and that was in 2021 he is a skilled passer a tough shot maker and a willing competitor on the defensive end of the floor much of the criticism of him had to do with his lack of athleticism given his limited size he was only 6’2 in 2021 well now he’s 6’4 those two inches make a Monumental difference in the NBA one thing is absolutely clear rokus yokitis is ready if Lithuania fails to make the Olympics he is going to strongly consider joining the NBA Summer League likely for the Knicks and I hope that happens because as of right now the Knicks need to add talent and this draft and stash pick Rog is yokais he has been playing very good basketball in the Euro league and I think it’s going to translate very well when he comes to the Knicks and here’s the thing we already know the Knicks are looking to make a major trade this off season if they do that they’re likely going to lose significant pieces in the process they’re likely going to lose significant bench pieces in the process if that’s the case you have to consider other options options that are low cost that can help you right away and if I’m the Knicks and I’m looking at all the things that I own and have access to I am absolutely looking at rokus yokitis and if he can join the summer league I am giving him a chance have him join the training camp and potentially see what he can do from there and if he earns a roster spot then he’s going to get one and he’s going to be part of our bench next year because we need help at the bench we need to add depth there as Ian Bagley stated a few days ago in terms of the Knicks and their draft discussions they’ve already been talking about it they need to fill the void they need to add the right players at the right cost on the right deals and Rus yokitis if he’s in the summer league and he shows out and then he does good in training camp he’s going to get a deal with the Knicks but it’s not going to be a very high cost one and that’s why you look at yokais that’s why you look to to add him and again he can defend he can shoot and he can pass the ball everything that you want from a backup guard on the bench and because of his defensive intensity Tom thibo would love him if you’re looking at all the factors all the moves the Knicks want to make adding yok kabius makes all the sense in the world especially if he comes to the summer league he shows out and then in training camp he shows out again I believe in this kid I think he can do it I’ve seen great things from him in his Euroleague performances because of that I know it’s going to translate I know his game is going to look very good once he comes to the NBA he just needs to get here and everything is pointing to the fact that he is ready he wants to join the Knicks right away now of course he has some loyalty to his country in Lithuania and obviously what they want to do and their hopes and dreams come the Olympics so I can’t knock him for that but clearly if that’s not there then his dream his goal is to join the NBA join the Knicks and make his dreams come true and the Knicks this year have all of the abilities to make that happen for this kid we just need to make the Right Moves and the right trades and I think the Knicks are going to do that we already know the Knicks are not going to draft multiple rookies this year according to Ian Bagley and SNY NBA Insider he even stated he believes the Knicks are going to draft one player in the first round and then take their other picks package them potentially with other players and then go out in the open market and see what that package can get you and I’m not sure what it can get you maybe it gets you a very impactful player maybe it gets you a star player I’m not sure but the Knicks are definitely going to dangle it out there to see what they get for it and if it’s something that they can use they are absolutely going to make that trade everything as of right now for the Knicks is Win now we need to continue to support that culture and build toward that and the only way you do that is by doing the right trades drafting right and looking at everything you have access to and making sure you’re utilizing those assets the best way possible in my opinion we’re not doing that with yabas right now but we can correct that if we give this kid an opportunity this season after jayen Brunson what guard on the Nicks right now do you trust to run the offense and listen I like Duce McBride I think he’s a very good player but I think he’s more of a two guard he’s not a point guard if you can get this kid yabis on this squad he can play point he can play point right behind Jaylen Brunson or you can put them together sometimes depending on if Dante has foul trouble or whatever the case may be all I’m saying is depending on the moves that the Knicks make this off season depending on the stars that they target and go after that’s going to leave some opportunity on the roster in terms of positions and if the guard position is still open after the the Knicks make all of their moves and all of their trades then yabas is the answer you can give this kid some opportunity give him some time watch what he can do because we’ve seen other players from the Euro league with similar skill sets come into the NBA and Thrive and this kid already looks good and he’s young so he fits the Age timeline as well that’s why I think if it comes down to it and a roster position is open and we need a backup guard Rus checks all the boxes you need to get him on this team especially if he shows out during the summer league and training camp and I think Leon Rose in this Nicks front office is absolutely considering it they probably have a lot of notes written down about a lot of things the draft trades their assets and they’re thinking what can they do to maximize them all to make this Knicks team better moving into next season I can’t wait to see what Leon Rose does but if this season was any in indication expect some more magic and fireworks to happen because Leon he’s not done yet he did not set up this Knicks team in such a good position this off season to do nothing a major move is coming all we need to wonder is what that move is going to be but what about you guys what do you think about these latest reports about the Knicks draft and stash pick Rus yokitis potentially joining the Knicks next season let me know in the comments Below guys because honestly I would love to hear from you but that’s going to do it for this episode I hope you enjoyed it and if you did go ahead and smash that like button leave a comment below and of course guys please subscribe to the channel until next time Nick fans peace

The New York Knicks are looking to make a major move this offseason, which can shake up the roster, especially if a massive trade is coming. New York will need positions filled after a trade and given what we’ve seen last season, we need a legitimate backup guard to Jalen Brunson, who can step in (in limited minutes) off the bench. The Knicks draft and stash 2021 second round pick, Rokas Jokubaitis, could fit that role extremely well. This year could finally be the season where NY’s secret weapon joins the team… Troy Mahabir breaks all of this down!

  1. He is a 6'4 PG that might fit well next to Duece in the second unit backcourt. The Knicks need to get him on the roster even if he doesn't get playing time right away.

  2. The Knicks don't need anything but youth and durability…Zach Edey is critical and so is Rokas…Forget about doing a major deal Troy, it's not necessary…It's obvious that a healthy Knicks team runs the whole league off the court.

  3. ROKAS ROKAS ROKAS ROKAS ROKAS!!! If he actually joins the team, gets playing time and is reasonably productive, we’ll be a very, very deep team; especially at the point guard position. If you think about it, Deuce is not really a PG.
