always do and again I appreciate you guys man rocking with me on Saturday I was out of town um on Friday so I definitely appreciate you guys man uh you guys voted and I delivered so I definitely appreciate you guys so seven reasons why the washingt Wizards have not been contenders since their NBA Championship in 1978 all right number one ter terrible scouting and no development now obviously the Wizards are synonymous with terrible scouting and terrible with missing picks in the draft now obviously the big kicker I mean there’s a lot of examples but to me Yan vesley I mean especially at the draft position is one of the worst man in my opinion I mean Yan desley where the position where he was obviously a high lottery pick man and we missed big on that draft man because there was a lot of good talent in that draft and Yan vesley was a non-factor for the watch wizard so that shows you one big example like I said Chris Singleton there many other examples you know KY Brown um is a big one even though I do believe that KI Brown could have been a 20 and 10 guy if he indeed was in an environment where development was priority where obviously he played with Michael Jordan so I think that had a lot to do with it but obviously you know that obviously he was not worthy of a number one overall pick but the Wizards have been trash for Scotty and development and were notorious for that um it kind of goes into my number two point um which is trading away first round picks now if you look at the the year that we traded um the fifth pick the fifth overall pick in NBA draft for Mike Miller and Randy Foy who could have been picked in that draft Stephen Curry so that kind of goes into the first um point which is terrible scouting and development if you did your due diligence in scouting Stephen Curry you don’t trade away the fifth pick for Mike Miller and Randy Floyd which didn’t even I mean nothing against Mike Miller and Randy Ford really good players but they didn’t really move the needle for the Washington Wizards so it was a really terrible trade because again Stephen Curry changes the trajectory of this of this franchise if we select Stephen Curry I think we all agree with that man other points with this trading away first- round picks Ernie Grandfield was notoriously known for just handing away first round picks for players who um were role players who came with questions or for players that they didn’t even resign and the biggest example is Marie Morris which I’m a big example or a big example but a big fan of Marie Morris man I think he was one of those players where he had a dog in him man you know he was a really good role guy a really nice piece to the teams of John W in the John Wall era so Markie Morris but then again you know he came with question marks obviously uh question marks would um issues in the locker room um stuff like that obviously there was that issue where they trade away his twin brother so there was character issues now obviously Marquee didn’t really have a lot of issues in DC so you know and that’s why you know when you look at people or players where they deem them as locker room issues where Jordan P was kind of deemed that you know I think it changes scenary or passion you know players with high passion have that label but you know Mary morrris he came in and did his job but was he worthy of a first round pick uh you know you know I guess it differs on opinion right um but right now ban MCD donovic is the biggest name out there for a player where when we acquired him for the playoff run you know we didn’t even resign the guy he ended up going to the Indiana Pacers now you know for a first round pick where we alert him away from um or we didn’t alert him but we traded for him away from the Brooklyn Nets you know that was a terrible trade because we gave away a first round pick for a guy who played half a season so we’ve been notoriously bad for this giving away first round picks all right let’s get into Point number three not adding compliments complemental stars to Homegrown Stars which is you know the couple of eras not so much with the G aren ER but with the John W Paul George was a guy that John Wall wanted on this team and you would argue that they had the assets to grab him and really they should have been a lot more aggressive with trying to get a talent like Paul George because if you combine Paul George with John Wall Bradley Bill Marie Morris Marshall Gortat and you have a championship team in my opinion I mean is my opinion but a lot of people share that opinion that Paul George again changes the trajectory of his franchise that is a championship team he could have been definitely their final piece for the John Wall era in my opinion at his height um couple people look at Klay Thompson you know John Wall himself said look Klay Thompson is the guy we needed to Target in that draft and again they went in another Direction which I believe was auto porter so Klay Thompson again changes the trajectory of this franchise because you have a guy who is gonna go down one of the be best Shooters in the league I mean a three and D guy so he would have added a defensive element to this team that was desperately needed and and another shooter this was desperately needed for that team because I think that Klay Thompson makes this a championship team uh you can kind of say KD even though I don’t think KD really wants to come back home but I thought that they could have did better than signing Scotty Brooks I mean if you thought that signing Scotty Brooks would be that one factor was GNA learn KD to DC they were grocery mistaken man and it was kind of you know it was laughable to a certain degree in my opinion because you know just signing his Old Coach man was not gonna be enough for ktie to come up and so I think was a Miss man was they definitely wasted time on that and they could have did better with trying to sweeten a deal to bring him to DC so number four overpaying stars obviously we’re looking at Guild Arenas where they paid him after his knee injury John Wall you know Bradley Bill you know can you can argue that especially with the first two injury issues should they have cut bait and cut their losses and I and as much as I love gilz and John Wall and you know with the injuries those are questionable times to sign somebody to a supermax like I said John Wall my favorite wizard all time I’m Big John wal fan I mean Agent Zero go watch them man but yeah let’s be honest man the deals for an injured player that was a lot of risk and it held his team back um you can and obviously going to the third guy Bradley Bill um he was a guy who was not a number one number one option he was a guy who was a really good player and he was an Allstar but he was not the guy that you build a franchise around and so then you know we’re not going to get into you know separation John Wall a lot of the issues behind the scenes but I’ll say this he knew and most of us knew that Bradley Bill was not the player that you give out of supermax 2 all right let’s get to number five extending one trick ponies I’m looking at two guys in particular Martel uh Martel Webster and Davis spons obviously they were known as three-point Shooters but they that was about all they did now I will say this Martel Webster was a lot more polished as a player than dois Britton because dois Bron was just a three-point shooter and when a shot would dropping he was and I hate to say this but he was worthless on the court I mean he had no other value so obviously between the two D bitton is really the worst out of the two but Martel Webster you know that ended up being a really bad contract all right let’s get into number six throwing money away in free agency two big names now there’s a lot of names you can thr in there but these two guys came in the same year which was Yan Mimi and Andrew Nicholson and these guys were not worthy anywhere close to being worthy for the contracts they got Yami Heim was injury-prone he came in with the mL of being injury-prone he was a center who was very limited um Andrew Nicholson nice roll guy but not a guy that you pay that amount of money to and wasn’t a guy that really moved the needle for a team that needed pieces to move the needle so let’s get into the last point which is number seven treating really good players like all star or stars that is and I’m looking at two people in particular Bradley bills obviously the first one you know obviously he was a good piece at that back court with John wall you know he definitely should get love in DMV for what he did on the court and off the court but burned a lot of bridges on the way out and has a lot to do with the supermax contract you know with him not being worthy in my opinion and in the opinion of many people of receiving a supermax you know um other issues came up where you know arguing you know his wife going on social media and chewing out people because about his 2K ra and stuff like that and and and stuff like his attitude and bad body language at the end you know rub me in a lot of people the wrong way which is you know we know that him and Jason Tatum go way back to St Louis man but when you’re getting blown out by 30 and then you’re laughing that rubed a lot of people the wrong way so those are seven reasons that are why the Washington Wizards have not built a championship team since 1978 and again you know you got to look at all all seven of these different reasons because like I said with history and not just sports with everything in in in particular overall especially for society if you do not learn from history you are very well w doomed to repeat it and I think that if Washington Wizard do not learn from these seven areas they will continue to reart the cycle of mediocrity so how can the wizard get back to that I’m I’mma tell you but before we do tonight’s episode is brought every single day uh so let’s get into it so where do I see where do we break the cycle y’all because we like I said for all the reasons I went through where do we break the cycle I see the Wizards doing a seven-year re and and bear with me not all seven years are we going to be trash but I see a seven-year plan with the Washington Wizards all right first three years is about scouting and development and a solidifying culture which we are currently in we’re about to go into year two right um so that’s why it’s key you know when you look at certain factors have we done enough to start that that path that Journey yes we have you know number one Brian Keith you know we went over Brian Keith you know he’s finally the 20 he is the 26 uh head coach in team history for good reason right scouting and development you know he’s a guy who you know defensive minded guy I I know we heard that with Wes but you know West didn’t have the scouting development part and I think that is key you know you have a guy who again is as far as culture Define culture which is very important early on in the rebuild um he set up a locker room that the environment was an environment of learning where people want wanted to get better where people wanted to play with each other there was no issues yet he held a standard which he held a standard where you play hard you play to win which was something that we were missing under Westell Jr you know and I’m not trying to kick a man wise down but it is what it is all right so first three years in my mind you’re looking at SC development you know you’re you’re looking at at you know developing young Talent all right now year four and five is usually where you’re looking at picking up that that next piece right the Paul Pierce you know it should have been the Paul George you know that you know whether it’s through trade or through free agency you make that one complimentary piece to it compliments your homegrown Stars right so you know like I say it’s that one trade like if you look at Cleveland it was what Mitchell you know what I mean that was that one piece that where he complimented the Homegrown star that the Cleveland Cavaliers developed you know if you look at Golden State it was Andre Iguodala it was KD you know that final piece even though they didn’t really necessarily need KD but you know nevertheless they got them so um so that’s what I’m looking at year four and five is that you add that compl piece that you know complements the Homegrown Stars it’s also where you you know you you’re looking at reigning some of your younger guys years six and seven is where you make that step you know you add a final pie whether it’s here coach you know we made the example with you know Brian Keith now if he can do the job long term absolutely here long term but we use the Brett Brown example right which if you look at the 76ers Brook Brown was known as a developmental coach where when they came time to contending he went out and got that Marquee coach and I’m not saying that Brian Keef can’t be that guy but I look at similarities between the 76ers and us man you know what I mean and I don’t think we’re gonna be that bad I don’t think we’re have to trust the process too much um but you know because they were notoriously dag on B so that’s that’s the seven-year Vision I have man I think that you know obviously the first three years is about a youth movement man obviously you’re going to have leadership but you know it’s going to be about you know scouting and developing your young Talent man and hitting through the draft which is key we have to look this is a very important draft coming up and you know like I said I say it all the time you know the experts don’t like the draft but not if you’re a team who’s trying to contend this is a terrible draft for for contenting teams which is why Memphis is trying to trade their pick which is why Houston is trying to trade their pick which is why Utah is trying to trade their pick and which is why Miami and Sacramento trying to trade their picks because you know they they they’re not really trying to develop anybody you know they’re trying to win so this is perfect for a team like the Wizards where you could potentially if we trade back into the lottery you could potentially have three first rounders three young players where you know look Will Dawkins and Michael Winger both said that there are stars in this draft you just have to develop them right and for the reasons I already been signified with culture you know a revamp scouting Department you know head coaches who know what they’re doing we are setting up the environment where young players can come in and get better you know I mean so I think that you know that’s my sevene vision man and I think that if you hold pack to that you know if we do if we do everything right the way it should happen I think we can get back to being a continer in my opinion I think that this front off has been has shown that they know how to build young Talent now obviously that has to lead somewhere right um so you know again Brian ke has shown that he can be that coach and the rebuild man now can he be the long-term answer I think that that’s more on him you know he’s got to show that he can be that long-term guy but you know as far as being a developmental head coach I think he’s definitely the right choice so um you guys comment below let me know what you’re thinking man um do you agree with the seven-year plan you think needs to be shorter I mean definitely you know you know you guys know me man like I like to chop it up about you know talking ball man so um I like dialogue man so definitely let me know what you’re thinking y’all so uh we’re gonna get into comments and then we’re gonna call it the Saturday like I said y’all um I definitely definitely Lord definitely appreciate y’all taking time out of your Saturday like I said I put the poll out and you guys told me you wanted to rock with your boy on Saturday so let’s get it man so I Ain going to hold y’all up but I’m definitely looking forward to chopping up with you guys so we’re gonna start with oh man um that’s attack B attack if I Slaughter the name it’s definely sorry um he said because Ted doesn’t want to win winning is optional he’d rather run a friendship Factory I I agree with that you know especially when you look at the Bradley Bill is the biggest example um you know you can say John Wall you say ginas but John Wall G operated at that at a high level it’s not that Bradley Bill didn’t it’s just we all agree that Bradley Bill is a nice co-star man I mean he’s not the guy you know he’s Robin I mean he’s Alfred dog like I mean he’s not he’s not Batman and I think we all know that I mean at Phoenix he’s probably the third guy he’s Alfred man he’s just setting up the gear for when they go out I mean so that’s just is what it is none against Brad man you know like you know he burn a lot of bridges in the way out and I think that for the time being that’s going to be his legacy and just like John you know John was very important he very important to me a lot of people on and off the court but the whole signs whether you agree with it you know you know if you look at what other players are doing especially like spousal abuse and breaking the law you know flashing gang signs don’t seem as bad you know what I mean so but that’s a whole another subject for another day Sheldon T what’s good brother it’s been 46 years just poor ownership and bad luck sadly I have zero faith in Ted right now and doubt he’ll sell the team anytime soon yo I don’t think he’s selling Team bro like he he’s talking about buying a Nat so you know he’s definitely going to have a monopoly on Sports and in the nation’s C man so you know I mean he’s made his mistakes yes I mean I know that a lot of people aren’t big fans of Tanis now I get all that um he made his mistakes man but you know you know I I will say this man making a choice to finally hit the reset button all right cool now we gotta leave you obviously the the real work begins right you know just hitting the button ain’t enough man we still got to rebuild this team we still got to there’s a lot of steps till we get to Contender status man but if we do it right I think we’ll get there I wish forever said I think Ted put too much trust in people who really weren’t looking towards the future and had a win now mental thank you that method kept backfiring us we never change direction looking yeah I agree with you man um Tommy Shepard was kind of guy like that man you know if you look at his draft picks Den AIA um Corey kissper Johnny Davis L have mercy um Ru Hut Mur you know he was drafting the guys that need needed to be developed and we were in a mode that we were in the win now mode or we were in AC SE mode but um we need the players who could contribute right away we needed the can Whitmore you know what I mean like but we we drafted guys who again needed to be developed now there’s you know shout out to DC hoopman my guy um and whiz takes man um we had this very conversation which was you know couple things number one tyres halberton versus Denny AIA right if we would have drafted Tyrus halberton would he still been the same player no I don’t think he would have because we didn’t have everything in place for him to succeed you know we didn’t have that in place you know now would now could he have maybe you know we we definitely have a better situation in my opinion but you know it all comes down to best you know does the system fit you know do you have all the right pieces around the player you know there’s so many factors that help a player become better from you know from here as opposed to other teams you look at Marvin Bagley the third completely different player you know you don’t see the you know the issues with you know a lot of the issues they said he had which is lack of motor you know he came in he played really good basketball DC and I think that he really he finally found the best spot for him so I definitely agree with that uh wi Kid Forever said looking for a different result using the same method that is the uh Insanity that is the definition right doing the same thing and expecting different results I agree with you Uptown Dre what’s good bro says uh yo my brother and hopefully with the coaches in the developmental process we can build a playoff team within three to five years develop our players is a serious key now and Beyond amen my brother I definitely agree with that three to five years I I I definitely think we can be a very competitive team if not challenging for a playoff spot in three to five I definitely agree with that man I think that’s kind of the timeline of the team where you know there’s a reason why their names synonymous with other players you know Brandon Ingram very well could be a choice now he’s only he’s aspiring contract this year so do I see them we you know we’re not we’re not trading any first round pick so I I don’t think brand angam is an option but that’s why they’re linking is certain players man because like I said once you get towards that fourth year you’re looking to add that piece you know I mean so um we’re going into the year two so we’ll see but I’m with you man I I definitely think three to five man we could be a very competitive team um I I’m sorry man I don’t read Hebrew but I appreciate you uh but they said uh small markets have less opportunities you need a really good management to succeed teams from Big markets need a really bad management to be to suck I I agree with you I mean you know small Market it really comes down to the skill of your front office man because you don’t have the and I I 100% agree with you appreciate the comment because you don’t have you know La the lur of Los Angeles brings people to LA right especially people who are from there you know Paul George is from there you know kawh ly’s from there I mean so many names you know it’s kind of like New York man you know if you’re from New York you want to play in New York um DC does not have that alert you know Kevin Durant’s not clawing to get back home you know and you got guys who are from bore or DC com back come Will Barton even though was the best experience for him but um we’re just again really good comment I definitely agree with you um adventures in my magnificent Lane that is a dope name yo I still have faith even more so with our new front office thank you you know give him a chance I think that we’re finally hitting in the right direction man and I get it man I get it and I get it y’all man you know we’ve H we’ve heard so much lip service and we we’ve had our hearts broken so many times man but I think that is gonna be different this time man I really do think so um Affair shanar said there’s two ways to be a contender oh okay appreciate you um let’s see May Garett said hit the like button subscribe appreciate you brother uh long time watching listening man definitely appreciate you bro definitely appreciate you man tuning in on the Saturday man believe in Wizards believe in DMV Hoops what’s up tun in late but missing out on Al Harford held them back a lot too yeah that’s another good example yes sir yes sir yes Al Harford man I mean that would have been another move where they couldn’t that was a that’s not only a playoff team but I in my opinion that’s a championship team so that is definitely a good example uh spectar shahen I’m sorry if I mispronounced that um getting rid of good players like Rip Hamilton oh good point Sheed Wallace Ben Wallace who beat Shaq in kob4 I that is a great example yes sir getting rid of you know Rip Hamilton was a guy that I definitely thought was a longterm piece man um same thing with Wallace both Wallace’s man I mean they were just defensively they had a dog mentality I mean rashed Wallace man I mean outside of the text I mean he had he was a dog I mean he was I mean I’m always a big fan of she man um and then Ben Wallace I mean the defensive player of the year guy I mean I’m with you on that um M Garrett again see where’s janosa I don’t know he a mil carton man I don’t know where Yanick is man I I we need to put the AP out on him man because I don’t know if he even knows he got drafted you know we’ll see on that Uptown Dre said uh Johnny Davis Patrick ball Jr and Tristan vich developing major role players and contribute next season um man good question I I I’ll say this Johnny Davis I don’t know yet man I need to see how he does in training camp you know see what kind of work he’s done in offseason to really answer that uh Patrick ball one Junior I think you if you look at him he just oozing with potential man I can see him taking a Next Step now would he finally break out we’ll see but I think that you know he definitely needs to learn how to to show up other areas outside of shooting you know he’s a shooter but when the shots not dropping he’s got to find other ways to get involved and he did late in the season man you know he started to rebound his rebound uh rebound numbers went up out and trist rusich I think that you know if they work with him especially uh lateral movement on defense man I think he’s gonna be he’s gonna be a really good player next year man because with him being a second round pick man that I believe it’s what a two-year contract for second round picks man so um he’s got a show something relatively quick man if he wants to be retained man which I think that with his AG agent is skill said that he will be air shanar said there are two ways to be uh two ways to be a container number one being a big market and tracking great free agents number two building through the draft and making the right trades this is what the new front office was brought here for amen I agree 100% I think that obviously with small Market man we gota we got to hit draft picks we’ve got to hit drafts because again if you go back within the history of Misses in the draft we could have potentially had Stephen Curry Clay Thompson I mean there’s so many names man and actually I’m gonna put out an episode about it there’s so many names we could have had man and it’s just so much talent we could have had here in DC so we got to hit through the draft that is Paramount because look Golden State look you know I get it is across the bay from um technically you know Golden State San Francisco in Oakland but they played in Oakland for a while but you know I guess you can judge it is a big Market but it’s kind of like DC it’s a big city Market where you know if you remember man you know the gold State Warriors weren’t very good at all before you got to the dynasty that you had you know there were teams that were good you know you had a lot of good players Chris Mullins I mean you had Baron Davis you know an James St I mean you had good players that played for Golden State but they never really became a team that could get pass the first round you know how did they do how did they build that dynasty like you said building through the draft Klay Thompson through the draft Stephen Curry through the draft Draymond Green through the draft and then when it came to add in those pieces that Andre eoda that KD you know that that Wiggins you know they made that move because they had asset to do that which goes into another point that we went over earlier which is don’t trade away your first round picks you know what I mean so um that’s one thing that new front office doing they’re retaining and they’re accumulating so um let’s see lock law says there’s one way to build now draft someone who becomes a top player everyone want to play with NBA rules make it impossible to build a team only by drafting uh I agree to a certain point I do agree with that and you know and that’s why we say going back you know you got to have a guy to compliments your homegrown Stars you know I mean John Wall Bradley Bill that’s a good backourt that was a championship back court in my opinion but you needed that guy you know nothing against a porter you know Paul Pierce was he was at the tail end in his career Paul George would have made this a championship team you know that third guy man that added that that be that primary score and you know Bradley Bill being that secondary score let John be that floor General and that had to be you know the scoring guy also would have been perfect you got Mark ke Morris at the four Gortat um it was perfect so I definitely agree with that man uh Lo the law also said all a player has to do now is whine like a school girl and he can play anywhere he wants yeah you know player movement is is is big now you know where if you look at the 80s the 90s most of the time you stay with your current team for a long time you know MJ before he went you know went to Washington Chicago Bulls I mean Scotty stayed with Chicago for a while even though I mean a lot that has to do with you know I’m Sig that extension that really bad extension early on in the process man but it was late in his career till he with the Houston in Portland man so I agree with you like you know you definitely need to be in track at least one free that’s why I said around year four or five man that’s where you make that tradeit you know for ad Donovan Mitchell you know for you know a KD a guy that’s gonna comp again compliment your homegrown guys man um om o says yo Brandon you have some drafted responsibilities too you you need a new Duo for the Pod yeah man um again appreciate you guys man for rocking with your boy solo man like I said I definitely hope you guys have enjoyed the content man that was a big wor mind like as you guys know me man I I hold you know I I hold why to do at high standard man so you know I definitely you know you guys comment below let me know how I’m doing but I’m hoping that you guys enjoy the content but yeah I mean there’s times where you know I I do enjoy doing solo for a little bit but um what I miss about Ed obviously you know just Ed man he my boy man but um is that you know having that back and forth so I get that man so you know definitely um patient man we gonna get there and like I said um if you enjoy the content I definitely appreciate that man I’m you know I’m definitely trying to put some good stuff out there man but I I’m on it man I’m definitely on it man because I know you guys enjoy dialogue man so I get it man like I said a lot of you guys show a lot of love to me you know give me a lot of good feedback man and it’s all love baby but yeah I get it man you know um that’s big thing I’m missing from E man is that having that that dialogue back and forth so you know I’m working on it y’all lock and law also says I think wizard fans need to stop falling in love with players who are mid as you know what yeah yeah uh TB says Brandon do you think the whz can make any trade to move up to one to get SAR I mean no I don’t think they should man I mean this is I mean like I said this is a really good developmental draft but sar’s not the talent that I’m because it’s going to require a little bit to go up to one from Two and I think that most of the talent from one to 15 none of his really talent that you know is necessarily is going to make me want to you know use assets to move up for you know I mean I think that whoever Falls at to I think it’s going to be a good is going to be a good Prospect for his man so I wouldn’t train up against SAR and I think he very well could drop the two because I think that Atlanta likes rash now should rash be our number two you know you know we’ve been over this time and time again we’re going to talk about a lot more before the draft but um we have a lot of options but I would move up man I would definitely see who they go who they roll with but you know who knows I think that you know there’s a realistic chance that um SAR could drop the two man um Rich says Tayon is the worst owner in professional sports I you know there’s been some bad ones man you know I’m not you know we we’ll see um like I said shout out to you I can’t speak uh Hebrew but about the Philadelphia 76 I don’t mind to get Bill Ben Simmons uh definitely trade pool for him with the Nets even after his injuries he’s a real efficient point guard I I no man I I can’t I no I’m sorry man I you know I value your feedback man but I I can’t do Ben Simmons man Ben Simmons too I’m never in the business you know I’m not gonna use the worst off but I’mma say that his Drive is questionable the very least I mean you know he’s got you know I’m I’m just GNA leave it there um I don’t think he’s gonna I don’t think he like the law says not even only close to true the Kon Panther’s owner is far worse man I mean ton Ain there throwing drinks on nobody man I’m just trying to tell you so there’s definitely worse man if as bad as we got it there’s always somebody who got it worse U let’s see Justin Ellison says I try to believe Zachary is going to fall to spads of four and Company are going to get clinging if Sor isn’t there they had a pre-draft workout with him look you guys know I’m a big clinging guy so um I now the only reasons that I’ve fallen back from clinging at to is if we have the opportunity to go get a center later in the first round which is like to me you have to trade back into Lottery because I think that khle we and Zack Edy they’re both be they both gonna be gone by 26 and I think that’s good options at 26 like a k Sean George man where you know so I think that you know clean is a guy that you guys know I like clean I mean 73280 man I mean you very well like you said you know Zachary rousas you know he’s a guy who you know he’s got the connect to France you know um with wi Bey and San Antonio so I agree with you in there man you know I’m big on Donovan King like I said the only time I’ve diverted from that is that when I think that we have a chance to trade back into Lottery and maybe get another Center because I do like kware I like him a lot there was question marks but I like him and Zack Edy and there’s other people you know Missy is is a center that we could probably get at 26 but I think you know Donovan King man I think the same thing with uh Zack Edy and um CL we I think these guys that can develop into being starters in these donin Clingan is a guy that I think he comes out the game he’s a starter I mean there’s areas of his game that he can add but he starts at the gate man um so let’s see Showtime PI says is Leon’s fault man y’all you guys are letting him know how y’all feel Lord have mercy uh the Wasing Wizards are not a smart Market they are top 10 yeah I mean and that’s what I said it’s weird because it’s like Golden State with San Francisco in in um Oakland it’s not a small Market Per Se it’s just a small Market mentality because it’s not a city that has the bells and whistles like in LA or New York that has the media and has the fashion all you know LA and New York are synonymous with you know being you know fashion you know and you know news media you know there’s always a lot to it as opposed to Washington DC where most media is surrounding the federal government and not so much fashion or you know entertainment So you you’re exactly right but um because you know you got the DC Virginia Maryland you got Delaware you got West Virginia you have I mean there’s people in in North Car of the root for the Wizards man I mean so I mean I mean you know Hornets so but you know so yeah I definitely agree with you Showtime PI says watching not a smart oh my bad uh all right goog strong says we kept uh grunfeld around five years too long absolutely grunfeld was something else I mean that dude couldn’t draft I mean I I’d like to watch Ernie grunfeld draft the fantasy team I mean it might be something to to give you you know that that boost to make you laugh if you’re having a bad day uh he also said our chance was the year we brought Dwight in and his butt was s CE I mean I’m not going to get into that um but I mean you know Dwight and you know you know and we talked about it long a while ago we came out with the video talking about you know when Dwight Howard said that if he was healthy could have been a championship team you know Dwight was not a bad player you know now did he fit the M of the mod day Center no but you know you guys forget how good he was man the white was a good Center man and his CRI he was he was he was a force um Lo law says grun field was trash in New York not sure what T Leon was thinking with that high yeah um and I know that t um Ernie Grifford has put a a book out not too long ago man about his playing career and his career as an executive man so hate him love him that might be a good read for you uh for you Sports readers out there um let’s see G strong said how did grunt fiet Paul Pierce walk they should have got overpaid his State no I think it had a lot to do with Paul Pierce want to go back home because you forget he went to the Clippers after that so I think that that’s stage of his career he wanted to go back home it’s kind of like Russ man you know Russ said you know you know I don’t want to be traded but if you do trade me you know I want to go back home you know even though you know Paul Pierce was a free agent so I think going back home was a big reason for that man all right so everybody we’re at the 35 minute Mark so I’m gonna give you about 10 more minutes man um so definitely appreciate again man appreciate you guys taking the time out of your Saturday because I know it’s a Saturday for all you family folk man look appreciate you taking some a little bit of time away from the family to rock with me man so definitely I’m very appreciative of you guys man uh Paul Pi was a free agent no choice ah there you go um let’s see it was a choice offer him the bag to stay he was a Difference Maker yeah but is you know at at that stage of his career man you know we needed a guy like a Paul George um we needed a guy who could be that number one option to take the pressure off of the back court of John Wall and Bradley Bill you know because we really didn’t have that that that guy you know what I mean like John Wall was the obviously the franchise Cornerstone but Bradley Bill wasn’t the score that was like that mamb mentality score we needed Paul George to be that guy you know to drop some serious points on people then Bradley Bill could be the complimentary guy and John Wall could have been the guy to set everybody up that would have been a sweet thing I mean because you know you had your defensive guys and you marke and so I’m with you on that uh let’s see Fred fezo what’s good man how you doing tonight what is the small Market this is DMV what is the small Market breaking and and it comes down to like I said um when you think of big markets now obviously when you look at big markets um big cities you’re looking at you know New York La Philadelphia DC um Charlotte North Carolina there’s a lot of big markets but as far as you know when you the super duper markets because think about it man if you know more so the NBA than any other sport if you look at the NBA the NBA is a culture you know and it’s synonymous with fashion with hip-hop with you know with with Hollywood you know there’s a there’s a connection there that you don’t necessarily see you see with the NFL especially now with Taylor with swift you know whatever U but major league basketball really doesn’t have that connection like you know DC look is a fashion thing I mean basketball shoes like you know what I mean like that’s a big Market you know so the NBA when you look at certain markets like New York and La um the NBA does better when markets like that because you have fashion you have Hollywood I mean look I mean you look at Martin uh any Lakers or Nicks game you know who’s on the sideline is always the biggest thing right and then that’s what I’m saying like when you look at that in DC every once in a while you’ll see a commander player show up um or or a rapper like w from DC man but you know you’re not seeing Jay-Z up there you know what I mean like you know and there nothing against local artist I listen to nothing but local artists DC guys man and dudes from Virginia man so I’m a Lo I’m a guy who loves local music but um you kind of see what I’m saying like we technically we’re not a small Market because it’s the DC Merlin Virginia area and then if you stretch it we’re right we’re right down the road from Pennsylvania West Virginia Delaware so I mean it’s a huge Market but it’s just it doesn’t have that like Hollywood and you know what I mean so that’s a big reason for that um and grp strong says definitely not a small Mark yeah that’s saying like it’s not a small Market it’s just a market where it has a small Market mentality you know I mean play players want to play in LA you know DC doesn’t have the clubs I mean they do just ask wall you know rosebar but we don’t have the the the the N life of you know Los Angeles we’re not even close you know New York the city that never sleeps I mean DC is sleep around 11 or around one and if you out after that man you already know what it is so I mean you know that’s a big reason for that uh Rich says Panthers have been the two Super Bowls and they’ve been the only in the in the league for 30 years see you you would definitely mess with my wife man because she is from Charlotte and she loves the Hornets or oh she Lov horns too but the Panthers um yeah I mean but that’s another again Charlotte you know is not a small Market but they got that small Mark of mentality man um and they also have like the nicest Minor League Stadium I’ve ever seen U so let’s see everybody I’m G try to knock out five more um this is a heck of a name uh quantive tightening love it yon vesley obviously pet pet off yeah that’s another one man um you know we definitely oh Lord have mercy um jamoo 4900 said the wz kep bonovich and resigned Brandon Jennings who could have been ttler contenders but we decided to sign Mike Scott instead I agree with that you know we should have resigned MCD donovich he was perfect being that sixthman that scorer off the off the bench man he would have gu that would have started because he wasn’t a defensive minded guy I think his best fit on that team was def six man in my opinion but I’m with you man Brandon jings was a good again a nice change of pace point guard and I always like Brandon JS man because he’s a player that had some some dog them man uh let’s see I’mma do I’mma do uh let’s see I’m G do one more uh I’m gonna do two more man all right so steart of FL not a smallart market is a small fan base yeah in a city that rolls up the streets at Mid night I agree with that and grer song says uh Brandon you need to get out more DC has a great night life Ain a Ain nothing compared to La come on man like I love DC man but I mean come on you can’t compare to La like you know DC ain’t like la come on it ain’t like New York it it no I get it man the N life is nice man but U it ain’t La I think we can agree with that man uh let’s see Rome Calo what’s good we can get Deon Booker chrisop bazingas back fresh off a title um we win uh lottery draft Brandon Scott M hero appreciate that man um I don’t man I think KP that ship is sailed and Dev Booker is a guy who I think that you know Bradley Bill Bill isn’t tradeable at this point so you could you know I’m not saying they’re going to move book man but he would be the guy that you can get the most for because I don’t think Katie’s going to get the same package man at this stage and Bradley Bill Lord have mercy U let’s see so I’m gonna do one oh oh I’mma call it there guys so again I’mma go ahead and call it there but hey um again everybody I appreciate it man I appreciate the love I appreciate you guys taking the time um just to rock with your boy on Saturday man and again comment below man I definitely value your feedback man like I said um I’m on it man like I said I’ve been trying to do my thing on here man solo like I said I definitely miss e man and I definitely miss back and forth man but you know I’ve been trying to put some good content out man so you guys let me know how I’m doing man because like I said I hold my stuff to a high standard man so I don’t mess around with that so um like I said looking forward guys um Sunday or tomorrow Lord tomorrow we’re gonna go over Devin Carter man and um we’re going to look at some other guys bud Carrington and we’re going to look at Isaiah CER man and we’re going to look at some of these guys around 26 and you know like I said I just looked at the tape of both of them man so we’re going to look at some more draft prospects man and we’re getting closer to the draft man um I’m G look at the calter real quick we’re looking at three weeks man so um definitely rock with your boy we’re gonna do a lot of draft content but we’re gonna get into free AGC a little bit and we’re looking at we’re also going to look at some other candidates of bad contracts you know somebody brought up DeAndre Aiden we ain’t gonna talk about it now but um should the Wizards grab some bad contracts to get picks back definitely know what you guys are thinking so again appreciate you guys man rock with me on a Saturday man um so I definitely wish you guys to have a 1. The reason being is Ernie Grunfeld jumped the gun instead of building through the draft building a core which he could’ve done. He traded the pick back in the day and back in 2009 which he had kept it. We could’ve drafted who I wanted the wizards to draft in Curry , instead he traded the pic to bring in Miller and what is the other point you got which is terms out to be a terrible draft if they draft the curry who knows what happens to the wizards organization, but even if you go back to years with wall and Beal and porter , if they draft Leonard then or Thompson

  2. b/c when we get a golden guy to build around like Avdija we keep focusing on low IQ guys like Beal, Kuz or JP and ruin all others' confidence

  3. roster construction is the main reason. John Wall was not injury prone when he got his contract so it was really just unlucky especially when he was a top3/4 PG at the time of the contract and only 27.

  4. DC is not a small market. Ted has a small market mentality. The DMV is the 6th largest market in the country.

  5. I been a Wizards fans all my life i live here in the DMV ….but we are never going to get back to our championship years ..
