Here is the problem with Luka in the post right now, that means the others need to bring the ball up the court. And holy crap, these Celtics are bullying Kyrie up the court and I don’t know how trustworthy PJ and DJJ are with the dribble.

I think this is probably right, but I also don’t love when Luka gets too post happy. Sometimes instead of making it deep into the paint he will settle for being like 10 feet away and go for a tough turnaround fade, which is kind of what he did vs the Clips & OKC since he couldn’t move all that well.

Switch in to Derek white and post up all game
Even better switch into Derek white and then run a PNR with Lively. Then you get white on either Luka or lively in the post

Putting in Luka in the post is always the answer.
The problem is only Luka and Kai are solid dribblers. Makes it tough for Luka to get in position.
Maybe play Exum more. Another ball handler.

I said this during the first game. I was noticing Luka was having a little trouble with moving the ball with those all world defenders on him plus he was using too much energy.
But if he were to start at the corner three left side, then take a back screen to be posted right on the base line and either Kyrie or Exum fed it to him, they would be forced to double him.

you guys understand that they don’t mind leaving Green, Kleber, DJJ, etc wide open from 3 right? so they won’t have issues if they have to double Luka in the post

If Luka is posting, they WILL double to get the ball out of his hands. From the school of analytics, all we do is camp at the 3pt line. Nobody reliably cuts to the basket ala Aaron Gordon. And with Ky being dog shit, you’re hoping your role players will get hot. The Celtics do not care either way
