RIP to the legend
Sad day
Another legend gone. RIP The Logo 🙁
Was really hoping they would patch things up before some thing happened. 😞
Oh man… RIP. We need to appreciate the legends while theyre still here more often. 💜💛
Oh shit. That’s not how I wanted to start my day.
One of the foundational Lakers gone. And while the term has become way over used in recent times, a true Icon has passed away. Sad to see both Walton and West leave us this year.
Rest in peace Mr. West.
Man, this hurts. RIP Jerry.
RIP laker legend. Pls play 1v1 with KB 😭
Thank you for building the greatest dynasty in the history of modern sports.
That’s heartbreaking. Mr. laker.
Oh shit. Still can’t believe the Lakers let the Logo go. RIP Legend.
I really hoped this was a hoax. 😢
R.I.P. Mr. Clutch. Your Lakers legacy on and off the court will never be forgotten.
RIP Legend
No way!!!! Rest in peace!!
RIP to the GOAT executive. Mr. Logo. Mr basketball.
Fuck Boston.
Of all the older NBA legends to pass this one hits the hardest for me.
He was on PG’s podcast just under a year ago and looked healthy and alert as ever.
His contributions to the game will forever be etched into the history of the game we love but one thing that stands out is him sharing the story of losing his beloved brother David in the Korean War.
That in particular resonated with me a lot as when I heard it I had just lost my baby sister.
Rest in peace to the man, the myth, the logo.
Well this was not the news I wanted this morning.
RIP logo 🙁
Severely underrated as a player, imo.
RIP
RIP to the Logo, thank you for getting Kobe from the 96 draft.
RIP
RIP one of the greatest lakers ever. Hopefully him and Kobe balling in the afterlife/heaven/king kai’s
RIP Mr. Clutch, Mr. Outside, Zeke from Cabin Creek.
Contributed so much to the game.
.
.
ps. he hated being called “Logo”
One of the greatest to ever do it. Rest it peace Mr. West.
Sad day for Lakers nation but also for the NBA.
He put his stamp on the game, on the league.
This is tough.
Bro would rather die than see Boston get 18 what a fuckin legend.
Jerry didn’t want to see the Celtics surpass the Lakers in his lifetime again.
RIP.
The Laker GOAT in terms of overall contributions to the team (both as player and GM). RIP.
He lived a great life. Just disappointed the Lakers didn’t try reconcile before this happened.
This really sucks even though he was up there in age. So grateful for everything he did for the franchise. Will say a small consolation is that he passed while there was still a tie in titles with the Celtics.
Thank you Sir

man, the logo really rather die than see the C’s get one. a Laker through and through
Aw man. Absolute legend, and any NBA Mt. Rushmore is incomplete without the logo. He was a GOAT candidate as a shooting guard, a Laker legacy, and as a general manager.
Rest in power, king.
Holy shit, horrible week we’re having. RIP THE LOGO.
I’ll never forgive Jeanie for not brining him back. That’s when I realized we run a mom and pop shop
2 of our greatest legends gone just like that … hopefully Jerry and Kob are reunited now …
Wish he had reconciled with our management before he passed haih.
RIP Mr. Logo.
I hoped behind the scene the Lakers and Mr West was able to reconcile.
RIP Batman.
Funny story: so I was at a charity golf event for the special Olympics in California and Jerry West was there handing out the awards. I of course knew him as soon as I saw him but I thought it would be funny to play a joke on him. When I asked for his autograph I told him, “Mr. West, I loved you in the original batman show!” He just looked at me and said, “you’re thinking of ADAM West”.
He was a good sport about it. But to this day me and my family always joked about him being batman.
They asked Kobe who was the greatest Laker ever and he said it was Jerry West. Very hard to disagree. The NBA Finals battles with Jerry and Elgin vs Bill and Sam Jones built the league in the 1960s. Then Jerry built the 80s and 2000s dynasties with Dr. Buss and changed the way we view basketball as not only a winning sport but as a culture and entertainment fixation. May you rest in peace eternally, Logo. You’re finally reunited with Bill and Wilt and Kobe in the big court upstairs.
