An absolute legend at WVU too. It’s a sad day in Morgantown.

Damn, it still feels like we just lost Bill Russell so recently and now this.

RIP to one of the great legends, the literal logo of our league.

Phenomenal player in his heyday and a brilliant mind in the front office. Thanks for everything, Jerry. Rest peacefully.

At that age it shouldn’t be a complete surprise when someone passed but it always hits like a truck when a legend is gone. RIP Logo.

RIP. Dang, the man could pass for 60 years old… Wondered what happened.

It’s sad that we’re now at a point where so many legends from the NBA’s early days are passing away.

Jerry’s one of the game’s all-time great contributors. One of the best guards ever and a legendary GM to boot

Crazy to think about. Obviously it was gonna happen but he’s the freaking logo. He’s done so much and was so good even up until recently. One of the greatest and most successful nba careers ever

Feels like we are losing a lot of our old legends lately. There was a point in time not too long ago where it felt like all of them were still there besides wilt

A true legend. His love of the game and involvement post playing career are what the game should be about. Rest in peace.

Fucking hell, at least he’ll always be remembered as the logo. His legacy will live on throughout the entire history of the nba, which is cool as fuck

    Rest easy, legend

Sad day. 60 plus years of relevancy in the NBA and passes away peacefully in his sleep. What an amazing life! RIP 🙏

Wow, I’m super surprised to see this. He was so sharp when he was on Paul George’s podcast that I didn’t expect this at all. RIP to the logo, we’ll miss his dearth of basketball knowledge and impact on basketball.

He would have been even greater with today’s rules. The 3P line. He was an outside shooter before that even became a thing. RIP to the Logo.

Wow this caught me off guard.

RIP to the logo and legend

Damn, It feels like it was just yesterday when he so emotional about Kobe passing. He even referred to himself as being Kobe’s father at one point. I gotta watch winning time and some old interviews today, r.i.p logo.

  18. We’ve been losing so many legends of the game the last 5 years. Most of them aren’t shocking considering age, but it’s still sad to see.
