Reacting To Bleacher Report’s Latest 2024 NBA Mock Draft | Detroit Pistons Selecting A SF At 5?

hey guys what is going on Anthony here with piston St hope you guys are having a great day so far what I wanted to do in today’s video was react to this latest bleach report.com 2024 NBA Mock Draft there is a new player that they have the Detroit Pistons mock to take with their fifth overall pick there is also some Intel of what bleach report is hearing what the Pistons might possibly do so we’re going to go over to the fifth pick in this article and see who the Detroit Pistons may be drafting in a couple of weeks so the top four in these mocks really haven’t changed we’ll skim through them real quick and then we’ll get to the fifth pick Zach Rish should say one to the Atlanta Hawks that’s kind of been the consistent uh mock uh whether it’s Bleacher Report Yahoo or CBS uh number two is Alex SAR that that really hasn’t changed sar’s either going to be one or two number three is Reed Shepard to the Rockets sounds like uh the Rockets are liking the idea of Reed Shepard um being a top three pick for them if they want to keep the pick there reports that they might want to trade um out of the pick we’ll have to wait and see if that does happen number four is a somewhat new one and a a player that a lot of you guys like Modis bazis at number four so why you guys are here who is the fifth pick Bleacher Report has the Detroit Pistons selecting the fifth pick is Cody Williams out of the University of Colorado now Bleacher Report does have some Intel we’re going to react to that Intel um that Jonathan Westerman is hearing from NBA Executives across the league so this is what he has to say the number five could be a spot late Lottery teams want to trade up for a chance to draft Donovan kingan rival teams also continue to predict that Cody Williams will be picked earlier than most expect potential by Detroit Pistons at number five or the San Antonio Spurs so the Intel that bleach report is hearing that Detroit and San Antonio are teams to look out for potentially to draft Cody Williams at either the fourth overall pick or the fifth overall pick now if you look at old Mack drafts maybe from two three weeks ago even a month ago codyy Williams was predicted to be a late lottery pick like anywhere from from that 11 to 14 range while he’s kind of jumping up jumping up these mocks with a lot of teams that have top five picks you look at him 68 71 wingspan um there’s a lot to like there with Cody Williams I I know some people have their concerns with the college stuff didn’t really play a whole lot in college and the the lack of three-point attempts that he did make but bleach report also goes on to say that the pitch to Williams resolves around a coveted big wi archetype his efficiency at Colorado and the belief that he has the mentality and the blueprint being Jaylen Williams brother to continue improving and maximizing his potential Williams would be an easy fit in Detroit either at the three or the four particularly if he even gets closer to that 41.5% threo percentage from college now that’s what I was talking about earlier like the the sample size with his three-point shot is I think a a fair question to that a lot of you guys have had like I like that he shot 40% from three but was on really low volume and it wasn’t really a big enough sample size there isn’t like a a game that we could go to and point to saying like this is what I think Cody Williams can be at the next level um because he was injured a little bit last year at Colorado I personally think he would be a good player I think some fans when they talk about the a top five pick I I don’t really see too many Cody Williams people out there anymore I know there’s a hive out there for Williams um and you guys were pretty vocal that like he should be the pick he should be uh at five at the Pistons you know want to get a wing Defender that could shoot 40% from three um I personally would not be surprised if the Pistons were to swing for a Cody Williams banking on the potential banking on that maybe he can become a you know 35 the 40% you know three-point shooter in the NBA at the next level um very bright kid very intelligent watches a lot of film really humble kid um I honestly think that this is a type of player that I would not be surprised over the next two weeks we hear conversations that the Pistons are zeroing in on Cody Williams at 5 if they want to keep the pick obviously I I think there’s there’s a lot to like with him but what I to do and what we have done in some of these mocks is go watch some highlights of Cody Williams go see what’s there so we’re going to go watch a couple of highlights of Cody Williams see if we think he could be as high is a fifth overall pick for the Detroit Pistons let me know what you guys think though with this latest mock from Bleach report having Cody Williams as high as the fifth overall pick to the Pistons do you think this is way too high high for a prospect like Cody Williams that we really don’t have a whole lot of tape on to judge him as a prospect coming into this MBA upcoming NBA draft do you like the Pistons swinging for the fence with an arch type like a Cody Williams who’s 68 71 Wings span at 40% from three in college is there another prospect that you like maybe like Dalton connect maybe it’s a maybe you think balis is going to fall there at five um
