Should be an interesting draft. So many different types of guys.

super young upside guys, experienced dude with a heat connection, and two bigs that couldn’t be more different lol

I’m well aware of the pros and cons of Edey, but I’d love to see what Spo could do with him. And we’ve been undersized for sooooooooooo long.

Which tells me the heat’s chances of picking them are slim .It’s about the names you don’t hear connected to the heat much .That’s how they move .Everything is kept in house like the Cia lol so if they are comfortable with certain names being out there then .I think the second rounders they are working out could be a possibility but they generally keep theur first rounders a secret.

Of all these guys, the only ones guaranteed to be on the board when the Heat pick are: Missi, Collier (small chance he gets picked earlier), and Smith….Id say Smith has the highest floor of those three.

He was good on the Ignite, but they were absolutely awful and barely won games. 6′ 11″ 3&d. Fluid shot, 19 years old. Pretty springy, relatively switchable on defense. Can also face up and post up. Could gain a few pounds and be pretty tough.

Some good players have come out of the Ignite, so far like one or two a year are good. I think if you exceed expectations there then that is a good sign. You’re playing against some of the best players from CBB and overseas over the last few years, all these guys were the best players on their CBB teams or were on a tier 1 CBB team, and they are all generally older, stronger, and more experienced than the Ignite kids.

These kids are coming out of high school and going straight to the NBA 3pt line. If they can hack it in the G league at 18 then it makes sense they could develop into good NBA players. Id say they are playing against higher competition than almost all CBB players, even ones on good teams.

That’s one reason I like Holland a lot, people drag him for his shooting but he’s still 18 and went straight from HS to the NBA line against fringe NBA talent, he has a good FT% so I feel like he could develop a good shot. And he’s easily the best player from the Ignite this year.

Why the fuck would we draft Zach Edey? Did Bam and Jimmy start shooting 40% from 3 at an average of 4 made a game?
