everything I I put out there is that you know yes we need we need shooting you feel me uh we might not have Aaron holiday coming into next season but you do have other guys they can do playmaking and have the ball in their hands and you know that’s where re sheer comes in he can play off ball on ball whatever the case may be off the bench but is that what the Rockets really you know saying looking forward to or looking at you know if you look at the Donovan kinger situation how he’s you know I’m saying rise to the occasion the Atlanta Hawks might pick him number one and then you leave s adex there at number three trying to make a decision is Zachary still on the board if all this goes down and when you talk about shooting he provides that you know I don’t think the Rockets was actually saying okay yeah we want to draft another point guard I don’t think they there yet you know what I’m saying uh but it’s it’s an option on the table for them it’s it’s something that you can look into and it might be good for the Rockies you know but are we looking for another point guard we lost Aaron holiday but he wasn’t our main focal point guard coming off the bench when we thought alen Thompson was that guy right so that being said Aaron holiday was just a pickup he was just a pickup and he did a hell of a job under em mayoka system under under uh you know the whole rocket scheme of things as far as the guard plate Off the Bench now we understand Fred Van v needs help as a bad girl point guard he needs it he can’t be playing all those minutes that he may yok provided for him but what else you gonna do when he’s probably your first uh best veteran on the court and you know he’s your best player to a certain degree not C LP and jayen but as far as running the offense getting you to where you need to go trying to close the deal in the fourth quarter not having those blank moments in the fourth quarter that’s what Fred Van v provided right so when you’re looking for a backup point guard for him it’s going to be somebody who’s if we not if we not you know uh my bad y like I was saying if we looking for you know backup point guard uh and how we went out last year thinking Amed Thompson was that and he didn’t pan out to be that he became a very versatile player for us you know at any position Wing position point guard position darker spot position whatever the case may be so going forward we drafting Reed sheeper right this is put up hyp hypothetical scenarios you know what I’m saying so we draft Reed Shepard Reed you know he wouldn’t have a heavy load for him because the guard play that we have he will be in a situation where it be a three and D point guard or or or or anything to a certain degree how Aaron holiday was right I believe it can work it can work out it can work out now now we have to do other things to you know uh to figure out like the amen Thompson situation what e mayoka said about him at the end games you know what I’m saying oh yeah I believe he still my point guard going forward you know we believe in alen Thompson is that still the case if Reed Shepard is on the board and they have us picking Reed Shepard if that’s the case now we all know he’s a shooter but if he can I may I’ll POS this question if he not doing other if he’s not if he’s not shooting what else is he doing I know everybody oh he’s the best he’s play defense too okay cool it’s a lot of guys that play defense at a high level in college and we talking about the NBA level and I don’t see no intangibles from Reed Shepard locking nobody down you can give effort but the lockdown scenario I don’t see it you know what I’m saying uh and I believe what e mayoka said about versatility is key you have to be very versatile on what you what you getting in this draft you have to be very it has to be a very versatile player so whether as re sheeper clinging now when we talk about clinging right clinging they can say oh he can just he’s just a rim protector he can do this he just defend the paint yeah but when you put him out there you make it makes your team over verle as well you know um and and and defense is a big part of the game and not just relying on three-point shooting three-point is a healthy factor to your team but at the end of the day when you can you don’t have to teach key how to block a shot you don’t have to teach 72 not just dumping the ball though down and getting out of LP way like that has its place but the way we this team is built with all the wings we got that can get out and run and that and that’s that need Paint touches bro these guys bro need you got th breads bro that you got to take off the off the damn lease bro and when they just sit around the perimeter and and waiting for LP to to do his thing you’re not utilizing your your guys bro we got all these high draft picks that we got on this team and these th breads you’re not utilizing them bro yeah re shepher can help but my thing is this bro LP has his place for what we do you know what I’m saying and he had hell of a numbers this year but bro a a a big man bro who can clean the glass be a rim deterrent bro and and and get and a guy that you can give you can you you can that you can uh get in pick and roll and you you can you do uh repositioning screening rad repositioning getting the guards off bro and um they understand his place because at times I don’t give a damn what nobody say bro I looked at every goddamn all 82 games bro you understand I’m saying LP the ball get stagnant at times with LP because he want to score and he hold the damn ball too long bro and that’s fine cuz he can cuz he can cook downam near anybody in the league so I understand that but you’re not always utilizing the rest of your guys when the ball sticks in your hands like that you understand what I’m saying the rest of your teammates not getting off so when that comes into play bro we become stagnant and predictable and what I understood was when Jack landelle had an opportunity to come in and was able to space the floor hit some threes hit some midrange and crash the glass and and kind of shot block and switch we were playing fast we was playing to our our our uh strength bro and we look Dynamic and at times with LP at the beginning of the year we looked at Dynamic as well in situation but once teams start locking in on how we wanted to play you’ve seen that [ __ ] change bro and so when you open up the floor and you let Jaylen operate and LP operate in the pick and roll situation that’s why we say Alp need to expand this game to the perimeter that way teams can’t collapse in in the paint on you bro when they know you coming to them bro they they ready and they get up for you bro but when they don’t know you you going to shoot it or pass it or or or take it to the rack now you become unpredictable now your offense is is multi-dimensional but when you just throwing the ball to him and then trying to spot up that’s not playing to strength it’s not playing to cam with more strength even though he a good SBE shooter he’s he’s a he’s a hell of a slasher it’s not playing the T Isa strength he could slash to the rim it’s not playing to arm and strength he needs space so he can so he can uh uh get offensive rebounds get the glass and catch lives it’s not playing to Jabar SP uh to his strength because he needs to do what he needs to do at certain times in instead of just spotting up he need to be able to operate in the mid-range but when you got everybody in the paint collapsing on RP bro then your team is just you basically uh uh you basically reduce to just spot up Shooters that’s the only way you gonna win and this team ain’t built like that bro do you believe that Reed Shepard you know is a good pick to a certain degree not at three bro he gonna be a back he gonna be a backup bro who place he taking on this team to pick him at three and I to say Clingan is but Clingan is s foot2 bro you can’t teach size I don’t give a damn bro you cannot teach size you can say what you want say about Rudy goell but he got D he got three DPO wi bro and you can’t and he’s 7 foot two and he a shot blocker and he and he they got the number one defense over he’s yeah yeah like guys like that are impactful players for what they do exactly so how many like ain’t that many green ain’t that many we talk about we talk about Rudy go back like like he can’t do this he can’t do that but guess what he’s impactful for that Team bro and how many Rudy goell in the league could do and you can say how Rudy goell and [ __ ] he got three defensive players of the years so some so everybody don’t think like that and he effective for what he do but do you need uh multi-dimensional players around him so you can make that [ __ ] work you gotdamn right and we already got that we got a bunch of multi-dimensional uh wings that can already go get it at a high level in different areas they ain’t no spot up Shooters but they some damn good athletes they can get to the ring and some of them can get their own shot but when you start reducing them to spot up Duty now you you making your offense predictable bro and that’s not
