I think JJ is a bad fit for more reasons than it being a hard job. But Yes, for a first time coach. This team will come with a certain level of expectations. Especially when you have LeBron and AD. Then you have the extra baggage that JJ comes with being Buddies with LeBron. Not only is it a bad fit for JJ but it a bad fit for the Lakers. The potential for things to get messy is too high. Get a coach who at least doesn’t come with the extra baggage. Let the coach have the opportunity to stand on his own merit.

There’s always been a first time, as the saying goes “ a journey into a thousand miles starts from a single step” how do you know if jj is the right coach unless he tries. Go go go and get the coaching job jj
Definitely not made if you win as a coach with the Lakers the front office has proven that is a false statement. It's honestly an impossible situation to be in win or lose, and that is a direct result of a poorly run franchise (amateur hour!!)
People just envy jj because they wanted to be the coach but were not offered and considered to coach the lakers. Just shut up and support jj period

Social media has made people stupid. Good coaches are competitive and embrace challenges. No one wants a coach afraid of a challenge. These stories are just stupid and not believable. There are a select few coaches that have enough options to turn down the Lakers and none of them are available
Lebron through the years has been very vocal puclicly about who he wants or who he thinks highly of through tweets, interviews etc.. examples t lue, kyrie, even tweeted about being a fan of dan hurley spoke to him after the interview giving his blessing. Lebron has never promoted jj redick to be the coach.. but the media will have everyone believe that jj is all for lebron and that a dan hurley would've been "the lakers taking their power back" 😂 these media narratives that ppl eat up are comical
I hope JJ don't get the job, he knows nothing about coaching, and after calling the 60s players plumbers shows he has e respect for the game or knowledge of the game
So now guys are crying about having expectations 😂…. Oh it’s SO hard when you have 2 superstars on your team because you have to win!! Ok so go coach the Pistons or the Hornets then🤷🏽♂️….no expectations and you can hide your coaching deficiencies behind the horrible roster you have

Vogel won and got fired..Ham went to WCF won the first IST and got fired..depending on a 40 year old man and a flawed roster daily national media coverage and unrealistic expectations. You take this job–you are getting fired

Frank V. won a chip and D. Ham went to the WCF. It ended bad for both coaches. Coach empowerment is key moving forward.
Darvin Ham had its faults as a coach but firing him was not the right move. It sent a message of lack of accountability and dysfunction in the front office. Players and coaches have taken notice
We choose to take the LAKERS job not because it's easy but because it is hard

Nobody wants to coach LeBron. I know it. Jose who doesnt follow basketball knows it. The only person not willing to say it are people like Trevor associated with the lakers and the NBA
JJ still gone need half a season to understand and get a feel for the job. Also the Lakers need to bring in Vets that help grow and develop the draft picks and culture of the Lakers. Need to change the narrative of going "all in" on Superstars when the bubble championship and team structure is actually what everyone is actually doing and implementing today.
The Lakers prematurely fired Darvin Ham. They had a knee jerk reaction to AD's remark about not knowing what they are doing at times. They had injured players throughout the season, yet they won 47 games. The team was in the western conference finals last season. They won the in-season tournament this season. Denver is a championship team. Most teams would have lost against them. This knee jerk reaction of firing coaches and trading away players is what has put the Lakers to this situation.
Lebron is the problem, no one wants to be the coach for him. If Lebron wasn’t on the team we would already have a coach and not have this negative aura around the league. I think we’re just gonna be Lebrons personal assistants till he retire and not win anything. Wake me up when he retires.

Ppl are afraid foreal of what JJ can do with the lakers… in my opinion. Same when hurley was a candidate and ultimately ppl just hate the Lakers… so i think we should hire Marc Jackson or sam cassel but my # 1 choice is Mark, # 2 sam and # 3 JJ

Trevor you clearly have shown that you've sold out you literally sat there and said LeBron James he can't pull a team to the championship by himself he's not by himself he has a top 10 player on his team who's actually a better player than him and Anthony Davis he has several All-Stars on his team stop making excuses for the one guy who basically only plays on one side of the ball and hogs it all the time
You can drive a Honda or you can drive a Lamborghini. Sometimes you will get advice from those who can only handle a Honda. We want a coach who is ready for that heat.
The weak link is Pelinka, the number of mistakes he’s made are incalculable, he’s toxic, Magic saw it right away and quit. Replace Pelinka.
Lakers should get Awful Coaching here from yt. When will majority of Laker fans blame the Front Office? You have a 40yr old man still playing at high and a great power forward that is forced to play center carrying this teams surrounded by bums.

Why do lakers and fans over and over expect outsiders to want us to SUCCEED? No one wants us to get better we need to stop thinking anyone is out to help us. Unless you’re currently playing for us you are actively a spy. I’m not naively going to expect anything less then warnings besmirching and overall hate.
