angle and kept hitting the target I mean look at the score obviously a lot of things went right for them but that’s a big and Shaq what are your thoughts on Boston they’ve been struggling to get shots in general but down low they’ve been s save giving up way too many easy lifs they can’t protect the rim more effectively in the second half it’s going to be a long r that about wraps it up time now three-level scorer he’s also capable of locking you up defensively and that one’s good D and there’s a pattern starting to take shape here they’re working at inside and getting good shots in close range now here isid 13 points in the game a three-pointer is Right On Target tatums got six here in this quarter and the D is gotten a little bit laxed here defending the [Applause] triple an passes to Irving and a miss there on the triple terrific close out there to challenge the three it may be the hardest thing to do in basketball close under control and he’s more than up to the task you got to love his hustle leaving the defense no time to react the finishing transition nice and easy that one drops for him 67 230 lb Luka donic is a load in the painted area white finds Brown [Applause] banked in off the glass Browns got nine points pick works well there not much resistance from the deep it takes incredible effort to stay connected to the hip of the offensive player you’ve got to want to work now here’s Jones he’s got 11 near the three-point line it’s donic again the Maverick score all right defensively now you’ve got to find a way to slow this guy down because he’s put to you hooked away H with the steel outside Jones and that one clearly a foul gets the whistle and two shots coming up clearly a foul forel they’ve been at their finest four at the free throw line tonight eight attempts eight makes Joe J taking two shots [Applause] and that one Falls for [Music] [Applause] Jones and so Jones Nails both of them Celtics Trail by 14 now time called by Boston Kyrie Irving really making a difference here this is a timely timeout because this guy is hurting them they’ve got to figure it out get out of your feet and on your feet for the det down crew third quarter of basketball here in just just a little under three and 1/2 minutes gone by the three from Tatum and the rebound goes to the Mavericks Irving’s got five rebounds tonight he feeds it to Jones goes back up and they call the foul so a chance at the line for one more coming up well you have to be consant of where people are when a shot goes up venders not blocking out in that instance foral they have not made a mistake at the line yet 10 of 10 your D Jon J shooting one and that one Falls for Jones and so it’s holiday with it he’ll bring it up for Boston trailing by 177 T him against Jones that’s tipped stolen by Washington kicks it D donic that’s out of bounds the Mavericks able to retain possession here let’s take a second look at that fantastic block and this is postseason play at its finest refusing to give up shots here in the playoffs Maverick leading by 17 just four to shoot from the AR and it’s blocked by Brown wow twice on the pipe Jaylen brown with a message for the offense nice he started out strong three threes in the first half but the long ball has disappeared on him since now here’s Brown he’s got nine and there’s the whistle illegal screen when a pick like that is questionable and creates that much of an advantage for the offense you have to blow the whistle I don’t think there’s any question there are so many rules that favor the offense these days you’ve got to be able to equal things out when an illegal screen is set Don against [Applause] Brown on outside to the paint Gafford good work defensively by Horford Celtics Trail by 177 [Applause] outside holiday the pass to BR to stop the run a new 14 for Boston here’s Horford and a lot of contact on that one so he’ll shoot two here this is a an example of Al such a difficult cover he’s tall he’s long and he utilizes all of that to his Advantage taking two shot and guys what do you think about the offensive approach we’ve seen so far for Dallas and guys how about the unselfish and all about working that ball around Shifting the defense and just seeking out the best shot boy the long ball has been another point of emphasis for this group tonight their Shooters are finding open spaces and firing without hesitation that’s good from Horford guys I know we’ve discussed this many times but I don’t think statistics really reflect Al Horford’s True Value this guy is a terrific player and a Pros Pro so Horford gets two Dallas leading by 15 donic outside from Deep three-point range doesn’t go either for donic the Celtics have gotten five of eight shots to fall for them in the third quarter a nice 62% from the field again the Miss by the Celtics for Dallas they’ve gone six of 14 since halftime a little cold from the field and the shot goes in donic has got 25 points there is this fundamental confidence to what Luca does and those difficult floaters no problem Celtics passing it around white finds Brown oh and it’s sent back by Washington I know he’s got to be frustrated right now but the team is fighting from behind he’s got to stay with [Applause] it donic against white and that one’s good donic donic got 10 points in the quarter it just seems like the more he touches it the more the lead [Applause] grows Tatum on the wing wide open and he will one in Sinking right through off the back iron you have to be willing to shoulder the offensive burden I think Jason Tatum is built for it and the Mavericks call time here and sometimes from the outside not always clear what led a coach to call for a timeout and as you know it’s what comes after that gives you some sense of what has changed what to do [Applause] donic kicks to green and the rejection by Tatum probably the most underrated aspect of Jason Tatum’s game is his defense size length strength you name it sends that one back donic no good and here’s Tatum he’ll bring it up for the Boston Celtics 17-point game Brown outside the kick out to Tatum another shot and the shot goes in Jason tat Tatum’s got 30 points I think you play through the foul now you get the oldfashioned three-point opportunity and that one misses we talk about high effort players well Derek white embodies that very description always working hard always looking to outwork his and really these are some of the toughest calls and official has to make Don Brown releases well to me that’s the wing span of jayen brown Bing Shooters this guy gets right in their space and throws them off balance oh smooth guys very good job getting himself in close enough that he could just tip it back in well said those kind of plays in the offensive glass can tonight for the Mavericks like watching a three-point shooting contest tonight here and they just didn’t seem to let up whether the last several shots went down or not three after three it it just seemed to pay off for them staring at being swept they come through with a tremendous performance to keep their swim up to the championship on yeah I’ll admit it I I didn’t think game four was going to be any different than the first three of of the finals but instead of being discouraged this group was inspired I mean they need three more performances just like this one which probably is asking too much but hey who knows and while there was some nice performances tonight it definitely ended up being a solid outing for Luca donic and the way he was able to dice up their D with his passing really made things easy for everyone else on his team looking at who’s out there now for the Mavericks Dwight Pals checked in for Washington Josh Green comes in for Jones hardways checked in for Irving and it’s Hardy in for Luka donic now hard away and there’s the call it’s going to be an illegal screen and not the most common call you’ll see in the NBA but hard to argue that pick wasn’t illegal it is really difficult to get your feet completely set to stay completely still it’s almost surprising to me that it isn’t called more often Dallas making a switch here Morris is check in to the middle PO with the steel whle blows basket is good so a chance here for a three-point play defoul and once they spell blood in the water you can see the Killer Instinct take and you want to save your Best For Last tonight they’ve done that and then one shot one shot one [Applause] shot and that one misses here’s Boston now it’s a 16-point game and the passet by Tatum tat Tatum’s got 42 in the game you can appreciate the fight now but it isn’t how they came into the game no doubt it felt like they were a little tight for much of the evening now they’re in a better flow but it may be too little too late outside Hardway so no problem for Dallas as they get the win backs against the wall Greg but they showed us tonight they are not done yet you can just never count this move out I mean unlikely to see a full comeback support your team make sure you [Music]
