This Has HUGE Implications for The Knicks… | Knicks News

Paul George going to the Philadelphia 76ers may change the landscape of the eastn conference and I’m here to break it all down all that and much more on the Nick digust all right guys so before game four last night on NBA Countdown we actually had a surprise guest of Joel embiid joining the panel and the panel was stepen a Smith Malika Andrews Paul George Michael wilbon and Kendrick Perkins I believe and Joel embiid joined in on the party and the whole time Joel embiid was basically saying how he wants Paul George on the team and if you’re an avid NBA fan if you’re an avid basketball fan and you’re keeping up with all the news in this off season between free agents between players not being happy between potential trades one of the biggest takeaways so far in the off season is Paul George and the Los Angeles Clippers not being on the same page as far as negotiation talks I believe woes sent out that tweet saying that they’re not on the same page regarding negotiation talks and then now you have Joel embiid actually going to go visit Paul George on the panel and talking about how we just need a few pieces we’re a few pieces away of being a contender and when I saw that man it just got me to think it got me to think about the Knicks obviously obviously this is not a Clipper YouTube channel this is not a Philadelphia 76ers YouTube channel this is a Nick’s YouTube channel but what Chris and I do we’re always on the lookout to see how anything outside of the Knicks realm how is it going to affect the Knicks so Paul George if somehow he lands with the Philadelphia 76ers what does that mean for the Knicks well first and foremost a three-man team of harv Maxi a healthy Joel embiid and a Paul George that’s not nothing to sneeze at now Paul George personally in my opinion I don’t think he could be one of your two best players on the team if you’re looking to win a championship but this is where he kind of fits in perfectly with Joel embiid and Tyre Maxi because if he does join the 76ers he’s going to be the third option I don’t care about any of Paul George’s accolades what he actually shown me within the last few seasons is that he can’t be the one leading the charge on your team if you’re going to depend on him to take you to the promised land he’s not really it and if he’s your number two option depending on him to go into the promised land he’s not really it but with the emergence of Tyrese Maxi specifically in that first round against the New York Knicks where I believe they were in game five they were about to get eliminated and then Tyrese Maxi has one or two plays that completely saves their season of course they ended up losing but Tyrese Maxi man what he show me in that Spotlight because prior to this season James Harden was on the Philadelphia 76ers and James Harden was actually the number two option behind Joel embiid so that meant Maxi had to take a backseat to Joel embiid and James Harden but with the the bacle that the whole James Harden and Daryl myy stuff happened James Harden went to the Clippers which then propelled Tyrese Maxi into that number two spot behind Joel embiid Paul George at this stage of his career I believe he just finished his 14th or 15th season in the league so he’s on yeah I don’t even want to say he’s on the latter part of his prime I don’t I’m not even sure if I can say he’s in his prime anymore he’s definitely a respectable player that you would love to have on your team he’s probably top 20 in the league but if he’s one of your two best players your first two best players on the team I don’t think that’s going to cut it but again like I said this is where he fits in perfectly maxian and beid would be the two best players so Paul George he wouldn’t have all that much pressure on him and if you put pressure and Paul George in the same sentence he doesn’t really have a good history with that take a look at his performance in the bubble take a look at the first few seasons with the Clippers in general like there’s just a lot to pull from what Paul George but now let’s tie it back into the Knicks okay so if Paul George Goes to the Philadelphia 76ers what does that mean for the easn conference landscape okay so now the Boston Celtics they just finished losing in game four to the Dallas Mavericks which was my big surprise I thought they were going to end up sweeping them but going back to Boston for a game five I think if Jason Tatum and Jaylen Brown are really about that talk and are really about that life they’re trying to end this series as soon as possible and they’re going to try and end it in five so Boston Celtics if they win the champ ship this season a lot of the talk in the NBA media and the basketball fans World Boston Celtics they’re 100% going to be in the conversations for repeating they’re going to be in the conversation for being top three top five best teams in the league and then if you look at the rest of the eastn conference you got the Milwaukee Bucks you got the tandem of uh Giannis and Damen Lillard a part of the NBA top 75 team so again that’s not nothing to sneeze at this season was a huge nightmare for the bucks between injuries between the chemistry between Dame and jannis just nothing really worked out Giannis got hurt a week or two weeks prior to the playoff starting Damen Liller got hurt in the playoffs in the first round so this was kind of a nightmare for the Milwaukee Bucks but next season they’re GNA Damen Lillard and jannis Sopo are going to have a full training camp and one of the things that’s really slept on within the NBA world is chemistry chemistry and time the more chemistry and time you have to build with your teammates with your coaching staff with everything regarding the organization the better chances you have of having a successful season so we always got to have Milwaukee Bucks in the conversation as being one of the contenders in the East Conference now Beyond Boston Beyond Milwaukee Bucks what are the other teams in Eastern Conference that could probably make some noise Cleveland Cavaliers now there’s a rumor going on right now that Donovan Mitchell is actually inclined to sign a Max extension with the Cleveland Cavaliers tying it in with the Knicks there’s always been that rumor that Donovan Mitchell wants to come to the Knicks but it looks like he’s probably going to stay with the Cleveland Cavaliers but having said that there’s also been rumors there’s also been news news outlets saying that if Donovan Mitchell signs that contract extension with the Cleveland Cavaliers Darius Garland is actually going to want out depending on if Darius Garland leaves and depending on if they do it in a signing trade or a trade I don’t know exactly how it works out but depending on the players that they would get back that is what we need to see before we put Cleveland Cavaliers in the easn conference contenders we need to see the type of players that they sign if Darius garland does leave if Donovan Mitchell does sign that contract extension Evan Mobley I believe he just finished maybe his third or fourth Four Season in the league he’s still not the player that I personally think that he needs to be he really needs to develop a shot right now he’s playing off of raw talent he’s playing off of raw athleticism and there’s been a lot of comparisons that people are giving him to kg and I can see the comparisons he’s lengthy he can he’s able to move his spy he could switch one through five but what what I think is really hurting the Cleveland Cavaliers right now is that Log Jam in the paint between J Allen and Evan Mobley if you’re two starting bigs especially in today’s NBA landscape if you guys are not able to have a jump shot it could be a mid-range jump shot it doesn’t necessarily have to be in the three-point land if it’s just a mid-range jump shot that is going to open up the game for Evan Mobley for himself but it’s also going to open up opportunities for jiren Allen jiren Allen’s going to have more room to roam within the paint he’s going to have more real estate just just to do what he does and jir Allen at this point in his career he’s not going to develop a three-point shot he’s not going to develop a mid-range shot his game is rebounds blocks jump Hooks and dunking on everybody’s head but if Evan Moy is clogging up the paint that kind of doesn’t leave a lot of room for JY Allen to explore what kind of player he can be so Cleveland Cavaliers there’s a lot of questions regarding what’s going to happen with Dum Donovan Mitchell Darius Garland but Donovan Mitchell we do have to give him respect he is a top 10 to top 20 player in the league certified All-Star Bonafide All-Star season after season so we always got to have them lurking around other teams in the Eastern Conference we got the Orlando Magic Orlando Magic they finally got the experience that they needed they ended up losing in seven games in their first round to the Cleveland Cavaliers but but in my opinion I actually thought they should have won that series but I could also see it it’s the first time in the playoffs the lights are on the lights are bright Paulo B Caro being the best player on the team this is his first time in the league second season mind you but he needed this experience to see the difference between the regular season and the playoffs the intensity ramps up the physicality just attentions and detail everything ramps up but this is really going to bold well for poo Bank Caro specifically but alongside his teammates uh France Vagner Mo Vagner um Wendel cardo Jr jar Jaylen sug this experience that they had in the playoffs I really think is going to bold well for them in the future and the Orlando Magic is definitely team that we got to keep an eye on the Indiana Pacers even though in my opinion behind Boston they might have had one of the easiest routes into the Eastern Conference Finals first round they go up against Milwaukee Bucks Giannis is not playing Damien lard hurts himself in the first or second game of the series and then after that they go against a depleted New York Knicks who basically whoever was on the court by the time game five game six and game seven happened they were complete skeletons on the floor so the Indiana Pacers kudos to you guys that you were able to take advantage but then what ended up happening in the easn Conference Finals you you guys ended up getting swept by the Boston Celtics so what does that really say about your team but tyres halberton being the best player on the team your future is super bright I really like tyres halton’s game I like how he’s able to involve his teammates involve his players but I also like the offensive game that he has he’s able to stretch out the floor go behind the three-point line but he’s also able to attack the rim he’s 65 or 66 I love his length specifically for the point guard position he’s going to going to be able to overmatch he’s going to be able to have a lot of mismatches especially at that point guard position but with the core group of Tyrese halberton Miles Turner benedi Matan uh Andrew nard like that core is definitely going to have a bright future if they could keep them together and again this is going to bold well for that Core group for the Indiana Pacers The Experience going deep into the playoffs going to the Eastern Conference Finals now they know what it takes in order to actually be competitive in the Eastern Conference Finals and they know what it takes to go and have deep playoff runs and of course we got to talk about the Miami Heat now right now with the Miami Heat there’s a lot of things going on surrounding Jimmy Butler if he’s going to resign with the heat Pat Riley had that press conference basically giving his thoughts about that video that was swirling around on the internet uh somebody asked Jimmy Butler and was he was out at some random event and he was saying how like if he was healthy Boston definitely would be Boston definitely wouldn’t have been in the Eastern Conference Finals he definitely talked about the Knicks saying that they wouldn’t even been competitive in the playoffs and then Pat Riley gave his two cents saying that like if you’re home when the playoffs are going on you need to shut up and you need to focus in on yourself so there’s I don’t know what’s going on with them I don’t know what’s going on with the Miami Heat I don’t know if Pat Raleigh is kind of like holding back on signing Jimmy Butler but then there’s also been reports if you’ve been following NBA Twitter you’ve seen Jimmy Butler and the link to the Golden State Warriors Jimmy Butler going to the Warriors man teaming up with Steph clay and Dre Jimmy Butler is definitely on the H I don’t know if I want to say back end of his career he’s definitely ending his prime he’s definitely in the last few season he’s definitely in like the last couple seasons of his prime but if you’re still able to squeeze out one really good season of Jimmy Butler like he had last season when he went absolutely crazy like he was possessed and he dropped like 50 50 point games 40o games against the Milwaukee Bucks in the first round if you’re able to squeeze out at least one more season and you pair Jimmy Butler with Stephen Curry Dre and Clay like I said earlier you never know man Steph might get Steph might get another ring he might get five rings so that is pretty much what the easn conference landscape would look like uh for next season talking about the relevant teams but if Paul George is able to make his way to Philadelphia then the conversations again are going to look different Philadelphia will definitely be in the conversations with the Miami Heats with the Boston Celtics with the Orlando Magics with the Cleveland Cavaliers they would definitely be in that conversation as far as just being one of the teams that you got to look out for and then if Philly is able to get one complete healthy season from Joel embiid from from start to finish from the first game of the regular season all the way until if they lose in the first round of the playoffs second third or if they make it to the NBA finals but if Joel and B is able to have 100% healthy of a season we got to look at them different man and then Tyreek Maxi is going to have more experience under his belt I believe it’s going to start his third or maybe fourth season next season so Tyrese Maxi Joel em B Paul George is nothing to sneeze that we really got to take them seriously for the Knicks we got to see if we’re going to resign OG we got to see if we’re going to resign isaah hardstein if we don’t resign one of the two and right now it’s looking like Isaiah horstein is probably going to walk because OKC Detroit San Antonio it looks like they’re going to be throwing the bag at him so if Isaiah hardenstein leaves who are we going to Target in order to replace Isaiah hardenstein I put out a video a couple days ago talking about kabon Looney and I like the idea of that kabon Looney is kind of like a good comparison to Isaiah harinstein isaah hardstein has a little bit better of an offensive game but cavon Looney is going to bring leadership he’s going to bring Championship caliber experience key word Championship he’s going to be able to give game to Jaylen Brunson Julius Randall OG if he stays he’s going to be able to tell stories about how clay Dre or Steph sacrificed for the betterment of the team so there’s a lot of different questions swirling around the New York Knicks but next season definitely looks bright for the Knicks hell you can say that if we were fully healthy this season OG Brunson Dante Josh hard Julius Randle Mitchell Robinson if everybody was healthy look at how the playoffs played out Indiana Pacers got up in the Eastern Conference Finals Boston looks like they’re going to win in five in the NBA Finals so you can say that if the New York Knicks were healthy we definitely would have been competitive against the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference Finals probably taking it to a game seven and if we were able to beat Boston look at how Boston is handling Dallas I’m saying that all now in real time I’m not really thinking about the matchups between Dallas and New York but if Boston who won the Eastern Conference is going in Dallas and they’re about to win in five games for the NBA Finals with the healthy New York Nick team maybe it could have been the same same for us but guys those are just some of my thoughts especially after I seen Joel and B basically just do a huge tampering job on the NBA Countdown set before the game started yesterday those are some of my thoughts those are some of my takes let me know in the comments let me know what you guys think about Paul George going to Philly and what does that look like for the rest of the eastn conference do you think Paul George going to Philly propels the 76ers the upper echelon of the eastn conference or do you think that they’re still going to have a lot of things that they need to address but that’s it for today’s video guys and you guys know the drill you know The Vibes Taj Gibson for president wherever you are jayen Brunson for all the MVPs the deuce is loose and I’ll check you out in the next video peace

Could Paul George be headed to the Philadelphia 76ers and what does that mean for the New York Knicks? Does that change where the Knicks lie within the Eastern Conference landscape? Dariel Concha break it all down!

  1. PG is TH all over again, will be the end of Embid era and cripple PHL. What f'ing planet are we on talking about paying the 3rd fiddle 4/200? Batshit.

  2. PG is planning to go to the Philadelphia 76ers.
Take the old NBA Superstar, he won't last long.

  3. What’s the probability Embiid and George end the season healthy? 30-35%? Glad the Knicks won’t pay him.

Knicks need to trade for an emerging two-way, near star on a decent contract like Bridges or DeJounte Murray into Bojan’s + 24th pick salary slot (~$25M).

  4. One thing is certain, we cannot think that we don't need to reinforce the team, as if all teams would remain the same for next season, as if this year's conditions would remain unchanged.

Healthy, we could even (who knows) have been champions, but next year everything could be different. Some teams can become better than us with 1 or 2 changes. So it's vital that we also have a stronger Knicks. And necessarily complete and healthy.

  5. P g is hurt too muchand we all know he's not tghe same player is was. As for the Knick I really think we have to see them healthy to really see how good we can be and if we can add to our bench that might be all it takes.

  6. PG isn't the same player that he used to be many years ago. I understand that some are just caught up in the name/what he was able to do a long time ago. Knicks don't need a dude who can't stay healthy and is at the end of his career.
