IMO it’s hard to call Robinson, Wemby or Duncan « best Pick ». They were obvious 1st pick in their draft. By far the two best Draft picks are Ginobili and TP

Sans Duncan, Wemby, Robinson
Sean Elliott
Tony Parker
Manu Ginobili
Dejounte Murray
Devin Vassell or Derrick White ?

Wemby will make the list one day. I would put Robinson over Duncan for one reason, I think a lot of Timmy’s growth early on was due to playing and learning from Robinson. I wonder how the team would have fared early in Tim’s career without Robinson alongside him. Either way they’re the obvious 1-2 or 1A-1B.

Ginoboli was the best pick. Robinson, Wemby, and Duncan were picks any team would have made.

Parker and Leonard were the 2nd and 3rd best picks, in some order.

This is a dumbass article. Who in their right mind is taking anyone other than David/Timmy/Victor with the #1 overall?
If you’re trying to determine best picks, you have to consider value (unless you want to talk about all time great Spurs players and somehow make it relevant to the lottery…which is likely what’s going on here.)
Otherwise, its Manu, Tony, Kawhi*, Dejounte, Derrick.
Manu is obvious. Tony is a HoF taken at the ass end of the 1st, Kawhi was an MVP/DPOY candidate taken 15th, Dejounte was the bait that fleeced the Hawks (and he was an allstar) and Derrick gave us some shits and grins and got us Blake Wesley and a pile of 2nds.
Tim and David are the greatest Spurs. You can throw Ice in there but his “draft” is muddied by the ABA/NBA merger and all that nonsense, so him aside, along with Victor, those 3 are pretty much layups – hard to say they were great picks.
