Fedor speculated on a potential OG for Allen sign and trade on his podcast today

“I also think there's a fit in New York iff OG is not going to get the kind of contract that he wants from New York, then I think there could be a sign and trade opportunity.”

Also mentions the fit for New York with Hartenstein potentially getting a big pay day elsewhere and Robinson’s injury issues

I’m done with CLE if we trade Allen to the Knicks.

    Key Word: Opportunity.

It means nothing. Just speculation of what could be a possible trade piece if the cavs were to trade with the Knicks to get OG. He had a good season last season, but Allen for a guy who is averaging 12 PPG for his career?

Allen over him all day long. We need those rebounds. Cavs just need to keep Allen and TT and we have a rebound machine that just fuel DG and DM. Just the matter of getting the right coach to get a better offense scheme.

Why would the Knicks, who just traded for OG and needed a 3 and D type player, trade for Allen, a low-post, rebounding, defensive minded center? They already have a lesser version of that in Both Mitchell and Hartenstein.

Wouldn’t a sign a trade be up to the player where he wants to sign?? I think we would have all the leverage and not have to give up Allen. They would be forced to take vert niang and a few 2nds lmfao. They don’t have him under contract. I can also be so wrong I’m not sure how it works.

Cavs would not give a team that they already have rebounding and post issues against an upgrade to that position.
