you think about it bro Jaylen Brown had the hardest task of that series oh dude hey how much did how much did you respect him going over every screen man I mean he was defending I like the way what he said in in the miked up situation he said you know what if luga go back in that game I’m going to he also when they had a m up earlier this was a very uh and we talked about this throughout the NBA Playoffs when and I brought it up when talking about you and uh and and Durant all those years ago how you told me the number one thing in defending Kevin Durant is not letting him get the ball and he said when they had him miked up this was the best live mic moment of him he said if he wants to bring the ball up the court then that’s how he can get the ball other than that I’m not letting him get the ball and it was like if you want to if you want to bring it up 94 ft obviously can’t stop you from having the ball and that’s tying you got to realize how tiring that is somebody hounding you that up the court like that oh well LC gassed out I honestly I felt like when I recorded last night I told Kevin the first time I thought the game was like I was like all right that’s a WP because we have seen them kind of play with their food and then and then let the team back in it that has been a Hallmark of many of the games uh we have watched the Celtic play but they were they went through this 12-minute span where they scored like eight points the Celtics and it was like every Bunny at The Rim was just [ __ ] out and it was like but the Mavericks couldn’t score they like they had their chance they got look they got all the stops they needed to be able to make that thing a game but they couldn’t score and the Celtics defense gets all the credit for that but there was a moment it’s like 17 I think we’re probably I don’t know a little way past midpoint of the third quarter and it’s at 17 and they’ve gotten another stop Luca comes down you guys will remember this he comes down dribbles up on the right side takes a step back three-pointer and airballs it I saw it and you could see all of them just like and they all like walked back to the other end I was like all right it’s done here it’s done here and I think what’s so great about their team man is like anybody you pass the ball too could create off the dribble and make a play Y and you got guys that could do that who could defend as well you get saying nobody to not respect like everybody is respectable I mean catch and shoot shots driv and kick shots uh attack in the basket everybody could put on the floor and then I I don’t know and holiday flies around and does all the Dirty Work the the ultimate glue guy yes the ultimate glue guy and I just think man he he he made my boy Carrie Irving look so oh my God like out of the picture like he was horrendous in Boston he did him doing the little handshake out the thing was so wild yeah krie krie krie Raiden went down on 2K for sure he got a minus five for sure he got a minus five on 2K and I don’t think it has nothing to do with him but more so just the defenders in white brown and holiday well it’s also super depressing because we think of him as this offensive you know Mastermind yeah that is and and you can’t do the well he’s young and you know me first time through a rapper 35 years old do you know I saw a clip this morning that said that Joe Missoula was in his draft class I was like what Joe moula what shout out to Joe man was in his draft class three games this whole run yeah 16 and three last year Denver was 16 and four yeah that’s impressive and this 16 to3 and and and one of the things that I uh told Kevin last night it’s like now you look back at all the stats and now they’re all meaningful yeah right like it’s not meaningful unless you win they were just that good they had the fifth best point differential in the history of the NBA yeah yeah they’ve been kicking ass all year long and they had I mean they had more 20 plus Point wins than anybody since the early 70s like a a early 70s Bucks team they won three games by more than 50 so 50 it’s crazy though like just to see them do it I like I like the fact that they did it cuz a lot of people was writing like can they coexist yeah can they can they be well that’s what happens when it’s six final look six East finals and five East finals for Tatum and two NBA Finals now In fairness they gutted the rest of that thing all those other guys are new you know what I mean it’s like it it’s very reminiscent of the Paul Pierce thing Paul was still around the rest of that stuff was new right like the rest of the stuff and so they figured out what are we doing with the other three positions and so it’s not Marcus Martin it’s not Robert Williams and it’s not Malcolm Brogden and it’s not Grant Williams like you think about who they lost to Miami with last year and you’re talking about of their top seven guys outside Horford Brown and Tatum are the only ones that remain yeah and then they just fix the pieces around them and obviously it’s holiday poror zingus Derek white Dereck white was there last year and then you know I mean they’re bches Hower was the one that was really good for him and prit was amazing at half court shots the king of half court shots by the way for the culture would you rather have Steph Curry or payt bridg taking a half court shot for you come on bro I mean we’ve seen Curry we saw Curry do that to a joke bro calm down bro he did no but he’s done Curry Cur cold Off the Bench to do it he went that was a highlight of the he did it twice cuz he made that not even a bank a Swit they said he shot better from half court shots than he did from the field in shout out to Xavier tman he called our boy jiren late last night he got a Maring I love it I love it yeah that was cool and he contributed cuz they needed him badly especially when went out the last game oh man he showed it what a true professional is he was ready he didn’t pout he came in knock down some timely baskets it’s very uh for your team professional true profession very Leon po big babyish right like boy look at that boy look at that boy seal delivered it’s sure yeah he he 45 as hell H that’s on his playlist for sure the funniest thing ever is when people that had no previous awareness of Xavier Tillman look up his age and are shocked every time yeah when they say the guy’s 35 he every bit they think he’s a vet but he really he just been through it bro you got you know that’s what happens when you have kids early yeah shout out guys’s got a whole guy had a whole family coming into the league his rookie year he had a whole family at the games living out near cracker barar on Canada Road with the whole family in a field in his backyard our Bo not the same way the most guys come into the NBA so what you think what you think’s next for Tatum since he didn’t get the finals MB do he get get the max contract years 315 315 which for whatever reason they were talking about that before no that’s a that’s a number five the extension is 5 years 315 million it’s the largest contract in NBA history 35 going to be what the largest contract in NBA hist so you’re gonna top of Jaylen Browns so what Jaylen Brown got he’s got 300 yeah it’s a lot of money or 290 what was I don’t know a Jay Brown I thought he got like 360 or something jayen brown got 286 286 yeah so is going to be 5 years 315 million why they were already talking about that before the game even started cuz he didn’t get that he didn’t get that mvp well they didn’t know there was before the game when they were talking about it before the game they just got to keep on finding good things to say about I mean look he shot less than 40% from the field and less than 30% from three for the series yeah and they won in five games again he shot what under 40% from the field and under 30% from three yeah he was not very and they won in five games so to the point where we talked unbelievable when we talked about the Minnesota series with Dallas where sometimes it is simple and how Luca and Kyrie all but one game outscored Anthony Edwards and Carl Anthony towns yep in this series game five was the only game Tatum and brown outscored Luca and Kyrie but it didn’t matter because the rest of their team is freaking awesome the Chris Vernon show presented by Caesar
