back to the NBA we go where we remind you that the Celtics were wire to wire favorites this year to win the NBA title and for next year they are your favorites at plus 280 in that market overwhelming favorites I should say now while they are favored to repeat as Champs the Bucks have the second shortest odds in the East the teams with the shortest odds in the west more closely priced nuggets plus 650 to win their second title in three years while the wolves are plus 800 to break through for their first title all right back here on the desk with Joe and Aaron Jo let’s start out in the west is there a team that caught your eye on that board Memphis 40 to1 I think everyone’s checked out on the Grizz after last year they had a horrible record keep in mind this is a good by low spot for a few reasons number one nobody missed more games due to injury than the Memphis Grizzlies they started 51 different lineups last year John Mor’s coming back healthy they have a top 10 pick in the draft they also have a head coach who’s the fifth longest tenard in all of basketball that matters when it talks about continuity and keeping guys together third in defensive efficiency two years ago when they were healthy I think 40 to1 they can bounce back in a big way i’ also take a shot on New Orleans right now at 60 to1 they’ve got some assets to move around and Deploy on the board so there’s an opportunity there too all right yeah Zion Williamson and C.J McCullum Brandon Ingram started to break through a Brit bit this year but kind of fell flat in the postseason maybe maybe they’re building something Aaron Joe took the West would you like to take the East and tell us about a team that stands up yeah with some huge long shots all that makes sense um how about the Milwaukee Bucks if you’re looking at the East obviously we know the western conference is much diffic much more difficult but if you’re looking at the East I feel like the Bucks maybe over the during this offseason a lot of time to reflect and get that chemistry going this is also pending that Damen Lillard ends up staying on the team they need to move some few things around with some of the role players but I mean they had a coaching change the defense was terrible if they’re able to fix a few of those things they still have Dame Lillard and Giannis that’s two of the best right now and that it’s a great Duo so I’ll be looking at them at 10 to one all right I’m going to mention a name that’s probably going to make you guys laugh the Lakers at 33 to1 but the reason I mentioned is you’re going to tell me that the calves the Clippers the Heat and the Suns the Warriors deserve to have shorter odds than LeBron’s team Joe is LeBron coming back by allal he’s coming back with his son and toe well that’s the first thing to account for this is like Tiger Woods I think that’s the most important thing to keep in mind Tiger Woods was priced a certain way nobody gets more bets than the Los Angeles Lakers they’re very popular they have the most popular player in the NBA when you start to see the price drift and the bookmakers are telling you it’s drifting something they worth keeping an eye on all right I’d imagine you have a reason why well yeah I’m just I’m just saying if the Warriors the Suns the heat the Clippers and the Cavs are going to have shorter odds that makes no sense to me there’s no proof of concept this team has only been knocked out by the Denver Nuggets the last two postseasons they have the second maybe the second best team in the NBA so Aaron I think for me that’s saying there’s some value yeah I mean again it comes down to the LeBron situation and also like LeBron at the end of his career this is not Prim Time LeBron so it makes me a little bit nervous and also you mentioned the Denver Nuggets knock in the mouth twice like the western conference is so difficult that it’s not like if there were East maybe a different conversation but ad played 70 games last year finally got that getting that again this year is going to be interesting if he can maintain that that would be very good the Lakers are like the Sixers in terms of health it’s just never there it’s never there I noticed neither of you mentioned the Sixers it didn’t even come to my mind someone to be thinking about that’s Philadelphia fans for you up [Applause] [Music] [Applause]
