It’s only surprising because the Thunder have so many picks. Caruso would have hit open market next year leaving Bulls with nothing. His max extension is below his market value so better late than never. A young promising player and a FRP could have been had a trade deadline so here we are now with just a player swap.
I don’t understand why everyone’s so low on Giddey, seems like he’s the better player. Caruso is only better defensively.
People in here are acting like Giddey is trash. He was viewed as a raw prospect that did way better than expected his first and second years and did worse this year with SGA and Jalen Williams dominating the ball a lot more. He’s a 21 year old recent 6th overall pick that was scoring 16 PPG his second year. He’s definitely got some value.
