Breaking: Alex Caruso Has Been Traded to the OKC Thunder for Josh Giddey
wow the Chicago Bulls have traded Alex Caruso to the Oklahoma City Thunder for Josh giddy this is pretty unprecedented I literally just posted a video talking about all of the trade proposals that have apparently been discussed the 15 or so that have been discussed for Zack LaVine and right as soon as I do that we get this breaking news from Adrian rinowski that Alex Caruso is going to the Thunder this really makes me sad because I absolutely love Caruso and everything that he does and has been such a great basketball player for the Chicago Bulls the hustle the energy he is the definition of Chicago basketball I’m going to have a lot more thoughts on this I’ll have a much more indepth video I just wanted to share my initial thoughts because this is pretty insane I cannot believe that the bulls actually traded Alex Caruso after all of this in exchange for Josh giddy I would have expected maybe a little bit more maybe something in the for of another second round pick or so but Josh giddy is a young upand cominging player only 21 years old is going to have a lot of opportunity for the Bulls unlike what he was currently getting with the Thunder that said he is coming off kind of a eh season but again that could have been limited to the opportunity so just sharing my thoughts very very quickly I know the news is breaking the video that I just posted is kind of MOT although it’s not really moot because it relates to Zack LaVine I’ll have more details on this because I’m currently working right now so I can’t go too much in depth with it but let me know what you guys think in the comments on this breaking news as always be sure sure to subscribe and I will see you in the next one

This may go down to being one of the best deals the Bulls could get for the talent. Yes, he's not a great defender but he is still young at 21 and 6'8 and has a good bb iq. This will definitely keep the Bulls offense moving and if Zo returns, this Bulls team will be scary from the ball movement aspect. And Giddey is only making $8 million next year. This is bigger than any of the current roster the Bulls have. A move like this is not for any player. Giddey reminds me of Ben Simmons. Great passer but can't shoot and he lacks Ben's defense. After trading Caruso, the Bulls must be counting on Zo.
I'm shocked we got no picks…. GIddey has good upside. I think people's current perception of Giddey's game is very much skewed due to the scandal he had this year.

Giddey is 6’8”…Donovan will have him playing the 5 in no time.
Really sad to see Caruso go, but we in all likelihood wouldn't have been able to keep him after this upcoming season. And they trade him for a very young player that is a legitimate PG with potentially really high upside (despite Coby and Ayo's breakout they aren't necessarily PG's and the Bulls really needed one with Lonzo not working out).
It obviously would've been nice to get at least one pick, even a second round pick, included in this deal, but really trading for Giddey is kinda like trading for a draft pick – one that has seen some success in the NBA already – because he is so young. And honestly I prefer a trade like this over getting a pick in the 7-10 range of this draft that looks rather weak. Giddey would probably be a top 3 pick in this draft if he were in it so I don't think the Bulls made that bad of a move compared to how most people are reacting to it.
I know it doesn't happen too often but I really think this could be one of those few win-win trades. Thunder get one of the best role players in the league to bolster their championship hopes with shooting, a bit of ball-handling and of course all the hustle and defense you could hope a player to have, all without giving up a pick in the deal.
Meanwhile the Bulls show that they're finally (hopefully) picking a direction and taking a step or two back to get younger and not settle for mediocrity every year. They give up a core member of the team that likely wouldn't have been around past next year to take a flier on a young player who given the right opportunities and development, could develop into an all star.
I'd have expected the number 12 pick included. It's not a good draft so the 12 probably won't be much and we're giving up the most aggressive player we had last year. Don't like it a bit.
