In all seriousness it’ll be an interesting draft given how much of the rotation is seemingly set already. Just take a guy like Reed, trade up for Sarr, trade down for more future assets, or more players, or for trade pieces to setup a player trade?
Like that 7 + 14 trade from Portland is interesting, but how would we approach that? 2 more polished players like a Knecht and Carter to deepen the rotation? 2 upside guys like a Ware and Cody Williams to develop? Use them as trade pieces for more veteran rotation players?
Like I guess we could use 7+ 14 to take something like Carrington/Mccain/Carter + Ware/Holmes to secure our PG/C backups on the assumptions FVV won’t get extended, Amen can grow into the primary PG, and Adams + Jock won’t be here in a few years. We could also grab someone like Bona/Chomche/Shead at 44 for a similar purpose. Maybe a focus on upside picks who need training in the G-League regardless since the rotation is pretty tight for now.

this is like the 22 draft. everyone was so sure Jabari was 1, chet was 2 and Paolo was 3. At this rate, Reed will go 1, Clingan 2 and we choose between Sarr or Risacher

How can #2 pick be a lock if #1 nor a lock??,

I actually put a lock of stock on Givony’s (sports center) mocks because he’s the most plugged in regarding front offices due to epsn. Best example was changing to Banchero as #1 in his mock then everyone including vegas following suit.

I really want to trade up for Sarr. I get we have Adam’s as a back up (and Jock). But we really need more length in front-court and Adam contract expires after this season.
Any legit back up big man is going to cost you 10 + Mill a year anyway. Why not get one that has potential and locked up for 4 years at a good contract?

Bro literally just trade up for Sarr it makes too much sense for it not to happen. We need a floor spacing weak side rim protector badly if we want Sengun to stay on the court in the playoffs. I know the hawks want clingan and he’s going to be there at 3. Our 3rd pick and a. Top 5-10 protected 2027 nets pick should get it done. Make it happen Stone!

Also I could see Hou and ATL doing a trade. ATL can still get Clingian or Zach at 3 if thats there top choices, Hou can select Sarr
