Ok this is obviously crazy Miami copium, which is always glorious, but the Tobin and Leroy show is alright in my book. I listen to their shows in podcast form sometimes because I root for a non-basketball Miami-based team and I like their coverage of them.
They are huge fanboys and obviously to the degree where they’re just flat out delusional, but there’s a charm to it. The point of their show is to represent the fanbase and foster a sense of community with their listeners. They take on an “us against the world” mentality for the fans to rally around.
Contrast that with our local sports radio and it’s pretty jarring. Our radio hosts go out of their way to alienate fans and listeners and make them feel stupid for showing allegiance to the local teams. I’d rather have the delusional fanboy takes of Tobin and Leroy than the alternative.
