Should The Houston Rockets Trade For Brandon Ingram??
yo what’s going on guys it’s Houston Sports Talk Back another the video today and today we’re going to be talking about the Houston Rockets potentially trading for Brandon Ingram as there’s been a lot of rumors recently about the Rockets potentially trading for Brandon Ingram and I wouldn’t mind seeing Brandon Ingram in a Rocket’s uniform but some of the the recent rumors I’ve been seeing it makes me want to see Brandon Ingram nowhere near this state this city I mean I’ve seen I saw a Bleacher Report uh I saw a Bleacher Report article um yesterday last night and it was a three team trade I can’t remember who the third team was maybe it was the Kings I have I have no idea who the third team was but it was the Rockets and the Pelicans and the third team and the rockets had to give up to get Brandon Ingram and look I know Brandon Ingram he’s a onetime Allstar he’s you his one most improved he’s been a great player for this Pelicans team he’s their second best player but for a guy who yes has played great basketball but is an you know he’s an expiring contract this is the last year of his deal for some of the things that they’re suest suggesting we give up I think it’s absolutely ridiculous like for instance cam Whitmore in the third overall pick with another first round pick Jack landel and Jon Tate for a guy who absolutely just stinked in the postseason got swept and absolutely sucked in the playoffs onong I’m just going to go over his numbers in the playoffs in in the four games against the thunder in the playoffs for Brandon Ingram four games in four starts he played 36 minutes per game only averaged 14.3 points per game and four rebounds per game three assists per game his field goal percentage was 34% compared to the regular season averaged 21 points per game six assists per game five rebounds per game his field goal percentage was 50% he absolutely stinked in the postseason now obviously he can do better see his postseason before that in the 2122 season um where they played six a six-game series against the Phoenix Suns in 2022 he was fantastic in that postseason he averaged 27 points per game in that postseason he’s been great and obviously look things can turn around for him if he were to join the Rockets but for someone who just played that poor in the postseason and not only that but he’s going into a free agency year look I as much as I love cam Whitmore uh and it would kill me to see them this team let him go if Brandon Ingram had like three or four years left on his deal I’ll be like okay K third overall pick other draft picks and other players fine I mean that cut come back and haunt us and and just kill us but that that helps Us in the in the future or not in the that helps sorry not in the future that helps us now but this is completely different this is a Brandon Ingram player who is a expiring contract this is potentially one season of brand Ingram of course you can sign him to an extension of course you can resign him but there are no guarantees of of any of that happening so with that case being said is it are you willing to trade third overall pick and cam Whitmore and other draft picks and other players for someone who might leave you next year after next year and then I saw another thing that said alpren senon like rockets are not interested in trading alpren senon for Brandon Ingram why I mean like why is that going to happen I mean obviously I think the Pelicans in in my opinion I mean obviously maybe with other teams things are different but I think the I think in this potential potential trade with the Rockets they’re asking for a lot I mean senon for for Brandon Ingram I mean no no no no no smart GM would give up their their best player who is an is near his Prime and is absolutely getting better every season is only 21 years old or 20 years 21 21 years old and as good as shenon is for a potentially only one season of bre Indian grum this is not kawh Leonard I mean like look at how look how what what the difference that kawh Leonard made in one season of Toronto Toronto gave up dear Rosen and other assets for one season of Kawai and you know what happened he won a championship Kawai made a huge difference it was like a Kawai if this was like a Kawai type of player if this was like a Kawai type of player that we knew this kind you know that type of player was going to bring that kind of impact right away you know if he was going to bring the impact that we’d you know potentially or most likely win a championship all right let’s let go of shangkun just like the Raptors decided to let go DeMar rosen for kawhai Brandon is not that type of player he’s not that type of player to come in right away and you know we’re Championship favorites next thing you know we’ve won NBA an NBA championship that’s not the case so there’s no in my opinion with knowing that Brandon Ingram is an expiring deal there is no reason whatsoever cam Whitmore or ALR singon who in my opinion just my opinion on this Rockets roster have the two best Futures on this team look Jaylen Green’s a great player uh he’s he’s I think he’s going to have a good career but he’s he’s inefficiency which people continue to say he’s going to get better I don’t think will his his um his scoring I think Will and things will eventually get better for Jaylen green he’s a great player I think there’s other players in this roster that are great players Shar Smith Jr tar een but I am Min Thompson as well but I think the two players that have the best feature on this team are cam Whitmore and Al Prince andon and to let them go for onee Brandon Ingram potentially obviously you can extend him obviously you can resign him would be the worst decision this team can make and probably I mean honestly you can probably throw something at me that’s worse in this franchise but I think would be the worst decision this franchise would ever make is to let go of one of Cam Wht Moore or Al singon to get one potentially one year Brandon Ingram because you never know he might decide hey I want to go so and so I want to go play here I don’t like it in Houston I I want to I want to go play somewhere else so um yeah I think that’d be stupid but like okay this this is something like how about it’s a rocket potentially third overall picking Dylan Brooks third overall picking tar een with other assets obviously you don’t want to let go of tar e or dyberg who are big parts of this team but it’s not as it’s not as you know it doesn’t bring as much as damage of letting go of Al sangun or Cam whar I know a lot of people don’t want to see tar e go I know a lot of people maybe less people don’t want to see Dylan Brooks go because he’s a great shooter he brings a great mindset to this team both guys are big parts of this team and both guys are guys I don’t think a lot of rockets fans want to see leave but if you want to make a big trade and you don’t want to include the big guys like sangon and Jaylen green and cam Whitmore amen Thompson Jabari Smith Jun you don’t want to see those guys go you got to throw guys in this trade market like T Easton and Dylan Brooks there’s there’s going to be an odd man or two out if the Rockets make a big trade this off season and if the players that I believe are Untouchable stay like a men cam withmore Shon I don’t think Jabar is Untouchable but I don’t think the Rockets would love to move him Jaylen green as well obviously I don’t think FR V has a lot of value and I also think the Rockets want to keep him I think those six guys are definitely staying so then you got Dylan Brooks and you got tar e and I mean that means those two guys I believe in if you make a trade are the odd man’s out um and obviously no one wants to see him go I don’t want to see them go but if you make a big trade I’d rather see those one one or two of those guys go compared to anybody else on this roster I’m sorry one their thoughts I hit trade for the rockets in the comment section and peace out
Let me know your thoughts on the potential trade in the comment section!!
