Great attitude and nice hustle guy, but if he does leave, we aren’t screwed or anything. It’s possible some of our end of the bench guys will be pursued due to their now championship experience, but that just gives us the opportunity to replace them with more proven, playable players.
That can be tough, though. It seemed like we had opportunities to bring in a couple of veterans, but may have purposely gone the younger route in order to have a more upbeat, energetic locker room. You have to be careful not to sign guys who think they should be playing over others.

I don’t see him coming back. It will cost the C’s more than 2.5M to keep him, something they cannot afford with the second apron. He’s gone. A touch surprising, but not really. I’m guessing he’ll earn north of 2.5M and more playing time with a new team. So it makes sense from his perspective.

It could mean they will offer him more in FA (his min+70%?) On a 2 year that will earn him his bird rights.
Or that both sides agreed he won’t be on the Celtics next year, and his agent got a different solid landing spot.

After the buzzer sounds and the banner is won…it turns into NBA “Business” for a few months. Every player is their own company and they should make sure they are getting what they need. Then the season starts and it becomes a game again.

If he picked up his option, it was just one guaranteed year. I’m guessing he is looking for another 1+1 where 2nd is player option so he gets at least two more years. Probably a good gamble for him at this point. I wonder if he already knows who will give him that contract.

We already have a solid 8 man rotation that he couldn’t really get into. We have a very deep roster and I hope we give Walsh the chance to be an actual player next year. This also opens a roster spot for a random vet minimum so we’ll see

I wish he had played more. Tough to complain with anything after a championship season like this, but there were a number of games where the Celtics were just getting outworked by more energetic opponents and I thought that Oshae could have at least given some kind of energy spark off the bench.
He will go sign with the Knicks now and next postseason he’ll average 4.5 offensive rebounds a game for them.

Brissy was definitely becoming one of my favorite bench guys. If he gets a longer deal with us that’ll be cool if not, it’s definitely understandable.
