Rando Pacers Memory

An epic Pacers-Celtics series was their 1991 first round matchup. I took my dad to this game for his birthday. He hadn’t been to a Pacers game since their ABA heyday back at the Coliseum. The Pacers rallied from 10 down in the fourth quarter to win this one 116-113 and send it to Boston for the deciding Game 5. Chuck Person and Reggie combined for 57 points and Micheal Williams had 5 steals. The loudest I’d ever heard MSA to that point. For me, this series marked the real beginning of the modern era for Indiana, that group featuring Person, Miller, Williams, Detlef Schrempf, Rick Smits, Vern Fleming and LaSalle Thompson
