every day all summer long visit fanduel.com lockon to get started and joining me cooworker friend of the show longtime friend of the show and uh maybe the mo the single most qualified person to do this episode with me today he’s known as Mavs draft on Twitter what you got for me Richard Stam hey how’s it going Nick this is uh this is funny because now I’m in a permanent draft territory I just moved out to DC pulled the reverse Kirk Henderson so I I’m out here now so I don’t know if I’m the most anymore qualified but I I’ll at least take up to the top well being known as Mavs draft and uh being a host of locked on NBA Big Board you can go listen to Locked on NBA Big Board daily all throughout the the draft process and throughout the year which is wild you guys cover the draft all all times of the year which is insane so he knows his stuff knows what we’re talking about uh I don’t I’m not going to lie I’m not going to lie to to the audience here sometimes I come on and I’m like I know what I’m talking about and most years I try to do some prep and all that I I was traveling around for the finals like I’ll take that any day of the week and the Mavs only had the 58th pick in the draft so I’m like well maybe maybe less draft prep but today we’re diving into it we’re getting all into it we’ll do second round candidates Mavs are the 58th pick in the draft not a great one but we’ll talk about second round candidates this is kind of a wild draft anybody could go anywhere that’s always the case with the second round anyway we’ll talk about some trade-up candidates because the maps do have four future firsts or four future second round picks that they can move around and get something all how they got Jaden Hardy a couple years ago so we’ll talk about some candidates there we’ll talk about bronny James because he’s kind of like the only rumored player in the draft that’s been connected to the Mavericks which is a little weird but we’ll get Richard’s thoughts on him but I want to start here Richard for Mavs fans that have been focused on the finals haven’t really gotten into offseason mode yet give us an overview of of the of the top of the draft who are who are the names we’re going to be talking about like who are the big names cuz it doesn’t seem there’s not one that’s launched to the top there’s not anybody that is really like there’s not a wemi in this draft there’s not an Anthony Davis who are like the three or four names we’ll talk about tomorrow yeah it’s it’s pretty similar to the 20122 draft in this way where nobody knows who number one is like almost every year you can kind of figure it out even in 2020 when we had an extremely long layover into the draft we knew Anthony Edwards was gonna be the number one pick we knew Kade was gonna be the number one pick for a long time this year nobody really knows starts probably with Alex SAR but the Hawks winning it going from 10 to one was a major curveball if it was the Wizards they’ probably take Zar because he’s the absolute highest upside player but then you have some of these high four guys like Zachary Reay who’s been in that mix as well he’s a 68 69 Wing not necessarily the star mold and then there’s Donovan kingan who is probably the best blend of both High floor medium ceiling so in a lot of ways it is comparable to that 2022 draft at the top give me a quick Alex SAR Donan kangan like what do they what would they bring yeah so SAR SAR is the safest and best overall archetype I mean he can stretch the floor he can run the floor pretty good and versatile defensively when you look at that as a big that’s very valuable to do all those things together feels like a very safe outcome would be like mil ster right if you get mil Turner at the top of this draft you’re probably not mad uh Donovan kingan is going to control the pain on both ends he’s an absolute winner he’s the biggest reason why Connecticut has won back-to-back titles and he never played a college season without winning I guess you get it in two seasons um so I really like him though I think he is right up there for for the best player in this draft just of what he can do to control the paint and then Reay is just going to be that guy who he is three and D he’s going to be a starting caliber player but he’s not ever going to be a star I don’t think because of Von ball limitations there’s not really a guy that if somebody drops like let’s say SAR goes like seven like the ringer has him seven on their big board would that sh that wouldn’t even shock people right like there’s not I think if you went to pass two it would shock people though okay okay but everyone else if they fell to 7 I makes sense it’s all just up in the air so I mean that’s what we’re talking about with this draft the top of it is not very is not very strong with like like all like definite All-Star type names but there is a bunch of solid players there always is we always find somebody in a in a draft uh and there’s always a bunch of names in the draft that end up contributing on NBA teams and so let’s focus on some of those is bronny James one of those names because he’s the only one that has really been connected to the Mavericks we’ve talked about that rumor a couple times here but what’s your what give me your actual like scouting report on bronny James as an NBA player outside of of his dad like do do not even mention LeBron James LeBron James LeBron it’s just another excuse for me to play no it is it is funny though that like this is the most on-brand thing in a lot of ways where the last 12 years I would say the Mavs have done this whole thing where they’re like you know what we’re only using the draft in a way to make ways for free agency the whole 2012 if you’re a longtime Mavs fan you remember when the Mavs the 13th pick that could have been uh I don’t know just a random guy who’s on the bucks now and then they chose Shane Lin instead to save some money they could have even had Kelly OIC like still would have been a fine outcome and that was all to get like Dwight Howard I forget who else was in that Mi but a bunch of guys they didn’t get so for the last like all this time using the draft that’s the only thing we’ve heard about the draft for the maps is they’re interested in bronny and of course it’s just all the do free agency stuff but you said not say his name I won’t so bronny I won’t even call him his legal name but he not even get the government name in essentially with bronnie look if he was a random player who his dad maybe played D2 college basketball and he was at USC and he was a top 50 recruit which by the way like just prefacing this bronny earned that top 50 recruit status maybe a little bit boosted at but like he was a very good high school player so the problem with him though is he’s 6’2 67 wingspan is nice but he’s just short and he’s not really a point guard he can make some reads he has good floor Vision but he’s not a full-time point guard he’s most likely a three and D 6-2 guard which is probably the least desirable trait for a guard to have you’re already under sized and then you don’t have point guard skills you’re kind of out so he’ll get a Long Leash but I just I don’t think he’s going to be somebody that ever cracks rotation for a playoff team i’ I’ve compared him like size-wise he’s Patrick Beverly right yeah yeah very simar like if you’re going to be that guy you’ve got to really grind and got to really be excellent on the defensive end to do that and I don’t know that he’s there yet some of the scouting reports and videos like I’ve watched of like hoop intellect is a great one Keandre does a great job and other guys like that like they don’t think he’s that good defensively to where you’re like oh he’s just an elite can’t miss Defender which like Patrick Beverly wasn’t either he went overseas and like had to come back over it took a while for him to do that I mean even like Dennis Smith Jr who’s known now as like sort of the same kind of build um maybe a little more bouncy but now he’s like this Elite Defender and he wasn’t that when he came to the Mavericks in the first round so it it takes those guys a little bit a little WI to develop some of that and so for bronny like I don’t know the maps the maps can’t reach for him they can’t like you can’t trade for a first round pick and go get him let let somebody else do that um but where would where would you see him going like in what like range could you see bronnie going I I do not buy that he is a first round Prospect there’s only one team in the first round that would take him it’s obviously the team picking at 17 the Lakers thing is they’re not going to give him a guaranteed like it look I get it keeps you LeBron maybe but like and I I know you said not to say his name but it may keep him you get to deal with I mean it may help them keep him but at the end of the day it’s a it’s a guaranteed you got at least two years guaranteed up to four I just I feel like it’s too risky I think the more likely thing is the Lakers ultimately they’re in a Trader regardless I think they move back to like 30 something and take him but I think the funniest thing ever would be there are two really good chances just to be I I’ve always I love these ideas is the Clippers taking him at 45 or the Celtics taking him and I think they’re at 57 56 however you like there’s two Le two less picks this year so they’re like a couple picks ahead of the maps I think that would be the funniest thing though and they’re one pick in front of the Lakers so that’s the that’s the Bill Simmons hold them hostage that’s the Bill Simmons hold him hostage Theory right where the Celtics should take him hold him hostage and then like hey you guys want to trade him all right give us Max Christie like give us give us a future first like give us something crazy give us something insane for him uh so yeah that’s that’s bronny James he’s kind of the one prospect that Mavs have been linked to that may go in the first round but coming up let’s talk about some trade-up candidates for the Mavericks who should the Mavericks go up for if they are going to trade into the late first or even mid first or something like that let’s talk about some of those names coming up I don’t believe you shouldn’t be here today’s episode is brought to you by FanDuel FanDuel Sports we has all kinds of props and odds that you can use to get in on the action and uh the NBA is done but that doesn’t mean that we stop with sports right now fanduel.com loock and you can also go to let’s go uh WNBA right now actually there there are some NBA stuff there’s some draft stuff you can check there is a whole tab for bronny James I will tell you that FanDuel has a tab for Brony James uh over 45 and a half so he gets like man the over is 45 and a half like pick 45 and a half draft position you can get that at minus 130 right now hold on let me put my credit card information in 45 and a half that’s insane uh you can also bet if he’ll get picked in the top 10 that’s plus 10,000 uh if somebody gives you 10,000 odds on anything you do it if John melan Camp wins an Oscar I’ll be a very rich man uh so go check out go check out FanDuel fanduel.com lockon to to get started with FanDuel all kinds of draft stuff WNBA as well guys go check out fanduel.com lockon my first shot my first thanks everybody for hanging out with some lockdown Maps being part of show part of the raccoon Squad listening every day appreciate each and every one of you for checking us out we five day a week show all throughout the offseason and all that have guests we’ll have slightly on for the post-draft stuff we’ll have uh I’ll probably have CBA Mavs on to talk just like to to give us some math like and just tell us how trades can actually happen so we’ll do that uh tomorrow I have Lauren gun on we’ll do some fun trades we’ll do that so uh stick with us on the show all throughout the offseason all right Richard I’m here with Richard Shaman he’s known as Mavs draft on Twitter and we’ talked about the draft like at the top talk about bronny James give me some trade-up candidates give me a couple names where you’re like all right if the Mavs somehow they trade up for a late first round pick who should they be looking at man I really like Jaylen Bridges I’ve given him for reference I have 20 five first round grades this year normally it’s like in the 30s so that that says something about the class I gave Jaylen Bridges one I think he’s one of the safest outcomes you look at 68 give or take players generally 68 plus Wings who shoot really well they stick in this league think he’s about as easy of a plug-in play as there is like you add a Ben shooter I really like him I think he’d be available at 30 as well so um just even looking actually at Jaylen Bridges he’s not on most mocks until the late 30s I do think that’s one of those that from what I’ve heard is a little bit of a disconnect between Mox and him but I think he would be worth even if it’s not the end of the first round maybe the beginning of the second yeah the the thing with this kind of pick is you’re like all right you want pick some you need it needs to have some upside but you also kind of like want them to to to play now a little bit it’s almost like you want to draft an omx again like an omx type player again not the same style of player necessarily but like all right he played three years in college he looked good you you can imagine him playing in rotation in one or two years something like that because your window is now for the Mavericks uh I don’t know that they can do the Jaden Hardy pick again where you’re like all right maybe this guy develops and it takes a little while and he has to have the ball in his hands like I don’t think they can make that type of pick again J bridges does seem like that guy you know like you said 67 610 wingspan shot really well from three uh you know the Baylor Wing like that that’s that’s an interesting one if the Mavs do trade up or get somebody we like okay you feel good about like another another Wing like that yeah I I think so another name too sorry to throw in guy who has a real first round possibility is Tyler KCK he’s not the sexiest appeal that the Mavs need right now as a 6-2 point guard but I actually do think he could be like the Mavs as Peyton Pritchard and like I know it’s kind of sensitive to say that name right now does he only hit half court shots dude that man is the greatest half court shooter I’ve ever seen in my life he I need them to bring back that at the skills Challenge and just have it the pton just name it the Peyton Pritchard challenge at this point but L takes multiple half court shots every warm-up how how jealous do you think he was that pton got those two shots off in the finals like he was just like this was supposed to be my I’d be mad too no but with coake I mean he’s a very real traditional point guard thrives off of having that big man role man like he had Oso gadara one of the best bigs in college this last year they made each other better I think he could do a lot of damage with this coort and the Mavs kind of need I I would say if they can get a cheap point guard um Coy could be really anywhere I mean I don’t think he slips to the second round but there is a chance he could go to the final few picks of the first round and at that point he’s an NBA serviceable backup point guard to on day one so I think he’s worth trading for and really like with the Mavs you’re talking about a third string maybe like third fourth string point guard because Luca Kyrie they just eat up all those minutes they just need somebody to come in every once in a while and and get some of those minutes we we’ve gone through this this song and dance with Jaden Hardy I don’t think he’s G to be that that pure point guard type guy he has to play off the ball a little bit he can be a secondary Creator that’s great he’s done a good job at that but yeah uh so the Mavs will draft Jaylen Brunson 2.0 is what you’re what you’re trying to tell me hey I did like I liked Brunson in 2018 I had him top 15 I also have kic top 15 exactly actually they I had them both number 15 so who knows I I don’t think he is but he could be a poor man’s uh Jaylen Brun Brunson which is still a really good player yeah see okay so we got a wing Jaylen Bridges we got a point guard Tyler Cola give me another one o uh EES Mei he’s from Baylor he’s a project but one and done pretty new to basketball really athletic uh he broke quite literally broke the the maximum vertical uh test when I was at the combine right in front of me I’ve never SE broke the machine so like the vertical Lally just fell it literally just fell so like I’ve never seen that that’s the vertical test is the thing where you jump up and they have to hit all those different like yeah uh rectangle like plastic things and you see how high you jump he broke the whole thing well to be fair he came after Edie so like it was probably hard hit already but I do think I do think that EES Mei is very athletic like he’s new to basketball he’s not ever GNA be like that playmaker but he’s kind of like the Lively thing where you do like yeah he’s kind of raw we don’t know what he’s going to be year one but you put him in the perfect situation he’s probably a lot better than you thought he’d be on a in a plain slate on an average outcome and I do think EES Mei could be that guy where if he granted he probably isn’t going to shoot Lively probably would have to for this to work but you could have a future replacement to Gafford if that doesn’t work out for whatever reason but he’s an upside Play I’m Not The Centers at this part of the draft I feel like are pretty scarce honestly I just I I don’t think I would take a big here unless somebody really slid like Edy what’s Wild is the Mavs for once for once in the history of the Dallas Mavericks it feels like our set at center it’s like I don’t even think I’m thinking about a center this point the last time I mean the last time it was this set was like it’s never like I’m I’m used to the Chris the Eric dampers like the 201 you had you had the the Brenan Haywood and the and Tyson Chandler but then Tyson Chandler was gone the next year so you’re you’re like never felt settled going no didn’t felt settle going from one year to another um but yeah taking taking a flyer on a center is interesting I would feel bad for for now Mavs fan now MAV fan favorite Dwight pal has he has he reached those territories yet no he still the Reas M lost the finals for I’m sure there’s somebody out there who is blaming Dwight we’re like off we didn’t get him from this didn’t give him $4 million last year although I did see that’s what did we had somebody else you know that’s I was I was out at a restaurant last night and I did see Dwight pal there and uh he was he was in his round Rim glasses black black shirt looking looking little smart you then you’re like then then you then you realize like this guy’s winning at life as much as people like Mavs fans like trash him like this guy’s winning at life right now two things one where his shoulders even bigger because like every time I see him I swear should and two can we just the real reason we can blame Dwight pal is do you remember when he had those glasses for like a second of the third of the Season yeah the goggles if he wor those permanently I think the Mavs won the championship that’s my H just The Vibes of it just need somebody like that uh do you have any more trade up candidates like late first sorry I’ve been so stuck on Dwight po I’ve almost forgotten about the draft I I actually do think this would be an interesting player is his stock is quite all over the place but Kevin mcculler from Kansas he’s he was at Texas Tech I can’t remember if he’s from DFW but I’m pretty sure he’s from Texas um monster Defender grew a lot at Kansas this year um physically oh no no no sorry offensively yeah he didn’t a player okay yeah yeah sorry I clarify about that because guys will literally grow a couple inches and you’re like okay let’s go yeah guys do it all the time so I mean it is possible but with mcculler he grew as a shooter the free throw percentage is pretty strong and like for those who don’t know a lot of draft people myself included use free throw percentage as a stronger indicator than threep point percentage doesn’t mean that that you only use one or the other but like if a guy has 33% from three which is very close to mcer and 80% from the line it’s almost in line with what he has you trust the three point or you trust the free throw percentage a lot of times to at least be like he’s going to be better than 33% so on on Ball and off ball defense outstanding could potentially shoot scales down into three and D yeah that’s an interesting like just plug and play if you if you know let’s say the Mavs let’s say they somehow don’t bring back drick Jones Jr or they or they do and well he gets injured or PJ Washington gets injured and you just need to plug in and play a guy for a little bit here and they’re kind of like what omx did at times last season you can plug in a guy like that and it see he seems like a guy that could fit in a bunch of different systems and like could could fit just the NBA in general yeah I mean he does everything right now and a lot of those guys that do everything in college they have to scale down those are the guys who do well in that role like Covington was a prime example he did everything on offense at uh I can’t remember if it was Tennessee state or Tech But whichever one it was he was a monster there had just he was running the offense a lot he was playing defense passing rebounding everything um and then he scaled down in three and D so it’s entirely possible to repeat that uh some interesting candidates there so you got Jaylen Bridges or Wing you got Tyler Kik you got a Jaylen Brunson es point guard you got yees Mei who is a you know like a a bouncy Center if the Mavs want to go that route and then Kevin mcculler Jr kind of a Do-it all Wing some some interesting names there if you want to trade up uh let’s talk about some second round candidates if the Mavs keep their pick 58 or even move up just like a little bit here in the second round here and there who are some names that could fall to them or they could go get we’ll talk about that coming up you don’t believe you shouldn’t be here shut it down let’s go [Music] all right Richard let’s get into some second round candidates you like to shut it down do you like that yeah I I I listen all the time and it still throws me off The Bard shut it down anytime I can get Dirk’s voice on it you can get Dirk’s voice in a in a in a show man all right second round Mavs at the 58th pick which is the last pick in the draft literally Mr Irrelevant will come to the Dallas Mavericks if they just stand Pat but let’s say maybe they move up a little bit or maybe they stay where they are give me some second round names to watch yeah so for context my first second round grade goes all the way like my second round grades go from the first person to not get a first rounder to the 50th ranked player on my board so it is extremely interchangeable here so some of these guys there are some that might be gone in the first round there are some that may go undrafted like I’m fully aware of that because the variance in the draft some of the guys who I’m pretty big fan of here at this point is uh I I really like Dylan Jones I I think he’s an interesting player because I I’ve seen a lot of his path going from Weber State doing being an absolute nobody to being now one of the most historicly versatile players in college basketball uh if you’re into Advance stats no player in college basketball has ever put up a 30% rebound percentage and 30% assists that combination quite Hefty now he’s not going to do that in the NBA he’s not going to translate his role he has to find something to go into like I said in the last segment like with the free throw percentage three point percentage Dylan Jones has a high free throw percentage low three-point percentage I think ultimately he scales down into that role not very athletic but he could be somebody that you plug in play and he can just do a variety of different things any given night yeah so he’s a 64 point guard 611 wingspan he’s like uh but the ringer says shades of Grant Williams and Julius Randall which is like the the point guard version of that I guess uh yeah maybe maybe I should ch body what did you say maybe he’s the maybe the body type he does he does have the same body type as grant that is actually oh boy yeah you know what new pick new pick just we talk we can talk about him it’s okay he was at game five of the finals by the way wow wonder who he for uh he went in the Celtics locker room after so I don’t know if that that answers that no I I do like Dylan Jones so I do think he is somebody that he could plug and play he’s a little bit different um I don’t think he’s as good defensively as Grant was coming out of college which I know that surprises people that like you know he’s know for defense if you didn’t see him a ton in Boston or pre-draft defense like his intelligence is off the charts it just didn’t really work out in D but another name too that I really like this guy’s a potential draft and stash player that I think could yield dividends pretty quickly down the road arml trior out of uh he’s at in France he played with W Bama last year I believe so um he’s been on the radar I think he could go as high as the late or really early second to undrafted he has everything you want from a 68 forward 69 forward long arms athleticism uh defense is really impressive every time I’ve watched him but jump shots not there yet so if that fix it’s like you got yourself a steal interesting uh any more names I got nothing on that one I got nothing yeah that’s I you know this is my absolute favorite part of the draft like yeah anybody can do the first round I love these random players that like went to small schools who’s your favorite second round guy maybe not for the Mavs or for whoever oh actually this this is going to be my next name anyways Anthony Watson from Gonzaga I I didn’t like him for the past three years and then something clicked this year where Drew Timmy was gone and he was able to shine um even like after nard he left a couple years ago but like the team has drastically changed I think he’s a really good candidate the jump shot has grown a lot but it’s still not there I think he’s a candidate to be that breakout player who has one year in the G league and looks like a whole different player and if he shoots he’s he’s a Surefire rotation player off ball defense is off the charts just makes everybody better he’s a blue guy like six 69ine so like a 68 Wing that can I think he’s a power four but like a true four interesting the true four is they’re kind of they’re coming back in a way like PJ plays Four got it feels like a lot of teams have have these guys now but then then you just played the Celtics who play him at like okay never mind yeah I I also like Emanuel Miller from TCU he just had a draft work out last week with Dallas um so one of the last eyes or one of the last players they got to set their eyes on he in incredible work ethic Frozen only know I covered TCU um for the last six years I could doing draft stuff with them I so I saw Desmond Baines rise saw Mike miles a lot Emanuel Miller is really interesting he’s Leonard Miller’s brother who’s on the timber wolves this his second round draft pick last year uh long arms very athletic got those him and Leonard have those traits fifth year player who was at Texas A&M transferred to TCU works really hard everything I’ve ever heard about him is just great work ethic and it showed this year his free throw percentage and three point percentage really grew that was the last thing for him he could easily mold himself into three and D as a wing interesting but he’s 24 so he’s he’s been in the he’s been he’s he ancient just that’s the average age in NBA so I mean like he’s already there that’s wild yeah that is wild uh but yeah his three-point shot like like you said in TCU the first year he was at TCU shot 24% from three and got went to 39% the year after that which is a good little rise there for him uh yeah keep going keep going keep give me names so Melvin ainsa and if you if that sounds familiar it’s because it’s Alexi ain’s uh nephew pure three andd that is the entire Scouting Report I think he is the easiest scouting report he is purely a shooter he is purely a Defender he does not do anything in between For Better or For Worse like it’s not a knock I mean it’s just like he’s not going to handle the ball he’ll get some rebounds but he’s not gonna like I he’s a perimeter Defender who shoots pure perimeter player on both ends that’s fine you’ll take you’ll take that in the NBA now because you try to start coming up with a list of three and D names and you’re like oh I got it’s hard yeah and and especially in Dallas like you don’t want High usage players who can’t scale down Rather somebody whose game is one to one can I ask you a random MAV Mavs draft question not even Mavs draft just a draft question I saw recently that Alex SAR was compared to Harrison Barnes who oh no no was it no it was re sorry my oh I was like whoa whoa that’s a four to a five it was a there was a graphic that was like uh Pro comparisons for Zachary R Harrison Barnes and I was like that’s that’s where we are this no no maybe maybe it’s because I think too much of like 2016 Barnes where me to think about where they where they spammed post ups with him and I’m like Rees sh can never but I m should never the Harris Barn should have never had to do that yeah you know hey you know what that was good for his career totals and everything but true I and a guy at the Mavs eventually like down that path of getting Luca so it’s fine but I think with with Reay I I’m not huge into comps but I think you could plug almost any true 3 and D wing and it’s him like he he’s about his Textbook 3 and D which is kind of why I don’t understand he’s only number one we we did this with Jabari Smith where people were like oh he’s number one he’s number one and I fell victim to it it was one of my mistakes but we got to learn from the stakes those guys are never the number one players in the draft Yeah Yeah the the Jamari Smith like oh he’s going number one you’re like man I like a kind of like a overqualified 3 and D player going number one is just that’s just such a tough spot to first of all put that guy in and then also to like how is he going to pan out what’s the what’s the absolute best version of this guy yeah if you’re if you’re a three and D player where you’re like all right eventually he’ll turn into that but then you add some stuff in your game that’s usually surprise and it usually doesn’t like pan out yeah those guys are what they are on that For Better or Worse who’s your uh who’s your guy that you’re higher on than than anybody else is right now just in the entire draft um Anson Watson probably is up there I have 32 on my board he’s not on most top 60s uh the other one I would say I I love Jaylen Tyson he’s Dallas kid uh seen his stuff from high school up close seen him train uh went to so quick background three years in three schools three years I think he’s gone by 20 so like I don’t think he’s on a Mavs radar but like I will just give the brief background he was on three schools in three years Texas he followed Chris beard from Tech kind of got lied to and and didn’t get the the minutes he was promised went to Tech the mark Adam stuff came out with him and Jaylen Tyson was one of the victims of Mark Adams’s racism and stuff and other stuff as well then he went to Cal where it was a brand new part of the Reb and he killed it he finally had a role where the coach trusted him nobody was going to be terrible to him and he killed it so this is like a red shirt sophomore year really interesting who do you want him to go to Mavs shouldn’t, under no circumstances, Waive and Stretch THJ contract. Even if this means, we have to sacrifice pick swap in order to dump his salary. I rather give up the 2026 pick swap, than having 5 million dead cap for the next three years.
💙
nick we could always buy into the second round for players like,
1.Nikola Djurisic
2.Pacome Dadiet
3.Tristen Newton
4 what would it take to move into late first round to get Tyler smith to play forward
Yes Bring Lebron James and Brony to Dallas that would be Huge lebron easily gets his 5th with this Dallas roster
De Andre Hunter and Bogdanovic
This can work.
Send Powell to Houston for nothing(if they have the cap space) as they supposedly wanted to offer more than he accepted with the mavs. (if they don't want him send cash considerations with him to another team with cap space)
Cut Exum(yeah I'd like to keep him but he blew his chance)
Stretch wave Lawson(course send to a team with cap space if you can)
then you are under the 165 tax threshold. Mavs now unlock the Full MLE.
See if DJJ will sign for 10 mil for two years(then they will have his bird rights and the discount is actually not such that he will auto say no) or give him the Full MLE asap.
This allows the mavs to keep all their Players and the Salary of the players they want to trade to make a splash.
Then you can trade THJ/Maxi, 2 1sts and 2 2nds for Grant(or another SF that works) Course only 1 if you can. but I'm using a Get it done proposal and not a homer one where people mention a couple 2nds(which will take that just to get rid of THJ).
Thus You keep DJJ and Green(who are your two Point of Attack Defenders) and you add a legit offensive threat that will be your 3rd scorer and might go back to good defense.
Then hope that Hardy becomes your 3 point shooter off the bench and Omax can play 10 hard minutes and you gotten much deeper with the bench etc.
Spencer for the Vet Min or something like that. Then you got the Complete team.
Jonny Brames
"Mavs have the 58th pick in the draft, no a great one" it's literally the worst possible pick, xD. 58/58
Good stuff, as always.
Bronny
if we do use the 2nd rounder I'm sold on Jalen bridges if he's gonna be available 6'9 forward SG that's an absolute shooter and defender
MFFL
DENY AVDIJA MAKE IT HAPPEN NIKO!!!
After what Richard said about Lively, he is the ABSOLUTE expert.
Trade up for Bronny
1. Cam Spencer. 2. Isaiah Stewart.
Jalen Bridges
