The Lakers have never had a player in this era that they drafted that was as good at Tatum or Brown, Ingram is on his way to another team and the Knicks seem to be doing well without the moody ball hog that is Randle, trading for AD was the best thing this franchise did and acting like if the Lakers would’ve just waited they would’ve been in the same situation is ridiculous
The coaching stuff is understandable, 3 coaches in 5 years is ridiculous but I’m very disappointed in the spectrum guys for acting like Ingram or Randle is comparable to Tatum and Brown

Aw damn that suck but I don’t agree with them on Players. I would trade ten Brandon Ingram’s for one Anthony Davis. The flaw was moving away from our 2020 model too early. We should have kept that roster together and draft well, and build. Like imagine keeping Danny Green but drafting Desmond Bane as a type of replacement in the future.

I like JJ, he seems like he is hard on himself and will not lacking in preparation. That being said, the atmosphere in this press conference was different. Rob was defensive, and the Lakers media I respect so much seemed like they have their doubts. People like Ireland, Stu, and Worthy are my barometers where my expectations should be, and they are giving me pause where this organization is at. Again, no disrespect to JJ, just think he might have walked into a soap opera instead of a well run organization.

All the hate for Bronny makes him one of my favorite players already. He has realistic expectations, a good head on his shoulders, and has become content with his role in the game. He’s gonna be solid.

We didn’t trade Monk. There was no realistic way for us to retain him after his breakout season with us. We could offer TPMLE at 6.8 Mil (ended up in Lonnie) and Monk got a full MLE deal (9M) from Kings.

I bet many of the things Laker fans complain about, players and analysts agree with. This also seems to show a lot of old heads don’t really like AD, they see him as soft. He needs another good season to shed those criticisms, but he looks to be past the tick tack injuries
Bad take tbh. Yes we traded the farm for Davis… but it gave us the 2020 championship.
Also, LeBron with a Lonzo Ball that gets injured all the time, a small 4 in Julius Randle, a Brandon Ingram who never reached all-star level, and a mid-tier 3 and D Josh Hart wasn’t going to win a championship.
I get the desire to home grow talent, but none of our core were all-stars. None of our core were even close to being on Tatum’s or Brown’s level. Period.
